   Food was great! All the staff are very friendly and helpful! The live entertainment was excellent! The drinks special was amazing! Would recommend to anyone wanting a fabulous night out!

   Overpriced for the quality and quantity of food given. Very poor offerings. Chips cold which means it was sitting their awhile before final plating. For a pub it is very small servings. you just expect a large schnitzel or awesome chips etc at a pub. Nothing like that. They forgot an order so one person left watching others eat. Hated it.

   Great atmosphere for a city pub. Lots to choose from on the menu. Food comes out very quickly. Staff are great.

   Lovely venue, staff were very friendly and accommodating. There was singer/guitarist that appeared who was very talented. The only thing was that the general noise levels and acoustics in the area were quite loud to the point that you had to shout to talk in conversation with friends, but this is the case generally in any bar and can’t be helped I guess. Thank you PJ’s.

    Food was horrible! Cold and poorly prepared. Spaghetti marinara was too spicy to eat. Music was overly loud, unable to have conversation. Table had sticker for reservation but someone was sitting there, staff was too busy to help.

    We went onto the PJs website and booked a table over two hours before our reservation. When we arrived we were told that any reservations made after a certain time aren't able to be actually get a table and we would have to wait behind all the walkins who had gathered.... We also went a few nights prior, rushed to try to make it before the kitchen closed, stood in line for close to 10 minutes while staff were making conversation with the patrons they were serving, then were told the kitchen closed "5min ago". This interaction I kind of sympathise, as it was regulation, but I honestly was standing behind the 3 other people there with a giant laminated menu in my hand for the last 10 minutes, I think it was pretty apparent what my intentions may have been.

    Don’t order the burger as you’ll get 60g of steak thrown on top rather then the initial 150g advertised and when we questioned it with the staff we were treated very rudely. I didn’t know they opened a Karen’s diner in Canberra but if you want that experience of rude staff you should go here

    Delicious, well-priced food (squid salad, with generous amounts of squid!), good wine, a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Diners of all ages. We were jet-lagged, it was our first night in Canberra, and we thought ourselves lucky to have stumbled upon PJs.

    Definitely a thriving place to be. The staff I interacted with, including a manager, were all friendly and helpful. Service was very quick at the bar and meals were fairly prompt in coming out, even though it was busy. The food was delicious. The only negative was that our food was cleared from the table when I was taking my son to the toilet, and we hadn't finished our meals. Otherwise, a great experience.

    The staff here were amazing. If the owner just go out of their way it would have been much better. He is pretty useless and just creates more work for the staff, he would have been better off mucking in instead of half doing stuff and sipping his champagne at the end of the bar.

    This event was for an off-site discussion within a lead team around forward planning. While it was timed to overlap the kitchen being open, one of the team arrived just after the kitchen closed. He asked if he could still get a meal, adding that he knew he was late, and if he couldn't be accommodated that would be perfectly fine. The kitchen agreed to make him a meal much to the gratitude of the individual. This is a demonstration of above and beyond customer service that aligns closely with how PJ's operates generally. It was an excellent afternoon of discussion and wrapped up around four hours later around 5:30. We'll be back if ever we need to do this again.

    Two of us went to PJ's for a beverage and a bite to eat before heading to our next thing and we were short on time. I'd booked a table online earlier that day (super easy). We really enjoyed our medium rare steaks, as well as the veg and chips. We were in and out in about 40 mins which was impressive! And the service was great.
