Food and service was excellent. The prices were a little higher than they should have been for the small portions. We did have a great time. Hostess and waitress did an amazing job as well as the clean up the table dude.
We were disappointed when our ceasar salad was not offered cracked pepper and not pepper or salt was at the table. When our entree arrived we had to ask for salt and pepper. No one checked back to see if we need more butter. When we finished we were asked if we want to take the food home. We said YES. The busser put four boxes on the table and left - the server observed us trying to juggle boxes amid our stem wear and continued on to do something else. When the table was cleared the sweat from the glass ware had the formed a wet mess and the server smeared it around a bit and left. Our previous experience three weeks ago was far different.
It was a nice experience overall. I did feel that the wait staff was far too eager to remove our plates. We were also seated in a middle table where there is zero privacy and high traffic. I didn’t say anything, but I will always deduct stars just for being seated there. It wasn’t my favorite memory of Pittsburgh Blue, but it is still a nice dining option and the food was good.
There was a fire in the kitchen and we had to evacuate. Other than that, it was good.
Table was quite small and leg room very very crowded. Hard to talk - very loud. Salad and steak were great.
Never a disappointment. We love everything about it. Good food, great staff and delicious cocktails!
Always a delicious way to celebrate a birthday! Filet cooked to perfection and hash browns extra crispy!
I ordered the turkey burger with coleslaw. They were both outstanding. Our waiter was very friendly and he did an excellent job. It is a nice atmosphere with many food choices.
I will definitely return. Thank you, James for doing such a terrific job!
We ate outside. Lovely time. Went early Sunday. Perfect time. Few people there. Serve excellent. Steak the best I've had. Tender, tasty. Expensive. But expected it. Great for those that have a event to Celebrate!
28th anniversary. Nice time. Great food!
Simply put, the perfect experience. Head Chef, to Mgmt., to our wait staff. And the food never disappoints. This remains our "go to" for nearly all types of events. A family birthday was the most recent and it was perfect. Also great for a good dinner or even a lunch. Strongly recommend again and again!
They have a very limited high end liquor option. No Remy XO no Grand Marnier 100 or 150
As always. Great food, great service and ambiance.
Food was great, service was great. Compared to other high end steak houses, prices were very good. Restaurant was kind of loud.
We sat outdoors for lunch on a Monday afternoon. Weather and outdoor service were wonderful. Food was delicious and quick service as well. Friendly server and very attentive.
Fantastic Service, Great Food, Relaxed Vibe, Reasonable Priced.
Can't ask for much more.
Birthday. Food was good. Filet minion was a little dry
Excellent service last night. Hats off to Cindy for a terrific job!
Service was great!! We were surprised that the filets we ordered were on the chewy side?
We loved our waiter, Elizabeth! Great service & fun!!
Your tartar sauce with the capers was superb!
All in all, a great night!
Had king crab…..outstanding
Wife had scallops and filet mignon….outstanding
Service was great as usual
Love that they are bringing back some of their old menu
Food not up to par. Brussels sprouts too rich.
Third time here and it’s always such a wonderful experience. Our waiter, Jake, was knowledgeable, friendly, and put up with our terrible dad jokes!
Nikki our waitress was soooo WONDERFUL…..from the time she approached the table till us leaving she was very professional , very kind, thoughtful, very well knowledged,
I would def ask for only her next time
Food was not what we expected fish was dry steaks overpriced compared to Murray’s
Always Great service
Our server was outstanding!
Been here a number of times over the years, always a great time and good food! Our server Holly was great!!
Great food and atmosphere. We love going there for special occasions.
Loved the waiter and the food was great!
Occasion was son's 37th birthday, party of 5, our 4th visit to Pittsburgh's Edina location. Elizabeth, our primary server was excellent, as were the rest of her support team.
The menu and wine list shrunk from our last visit, disappointed the crab cakes not available. Wine list was uninteresting and over-priced so we stuck with cocktails.
Our appetizers included Scallops Benedict and Lamb Lollipops which were great (although some mint sauce for the lamb would have been nice). We ordered the fresh shucked oysters which were tasty but small and expensive (6 for $24); would not do that again.
Two of us had the Sweet Corn Lobster Chowder, which we agreed was disappointing. The base was an overly-thickened sweet corn soup with some chopped lobster meat added and creme fraiche squirted on top. Mediocre for a $14 bowl.
The steaks were excellent and done exactly as ordered.
Quality of the sides was a mixed bag. Their signature hash browns were terrific, as always. But the hollandaise sauce on the asparagus was gloppy and tasteless. The creamed spinach was not really creamed, more of a watery hot mess.
For desert, my son received a house birthday cake, shareable sized and very good. The Creme Brulees received high praise. I was less enthused with my Bourbon Pecan Pie, which was short on pecans and heavy on the weighty sweet pie filling.
In summary, great service by front-of-house, Great appetizers and steaks. But soups and sides were way off the mark. When you're dropping $700+ for 5 people, everything out of the kitchen needs to be great and memorable.
Our server, Talia was funny, quirky and informative.
The portions are big, the food is very good, not the best you’ve had, but good.
I enjoyed the casual ambiance. But the noise level was high.
We will definitely go again.
Delicious food and a great waiter! It was an enjoyable evening
Outstanding meal and service, as always.
“Pittsburgh Style” steak is almost impossible to find. The last one we had was at Switch in Las Vegas, NV (Steve Wynn’s Encore Resort). Steaks have not measured up since our 1st “Pittsburgh Style” experience. Kudos to Pittsburgh Blue !! We’ll be back! A special shout-out to Daniel, our waiter’s assistant. Our beverages never landed below the half full mark.
Everything was amazing and our server was fabulous!!
Very satisfied with everything about the restaurant
