Pistache French Bistro
Prices are moderate and the recipes nutritionally healthy. Service is casual and efficient. The atmosphere is upbeat with a definite European flair. The interior is reminiscent of the Art Nouveau, which defined most brasseries and bistros opened in 1920"s Paris. It boasts cozy seating with numerous red leather banquettes, a full bar and giant antique mirrors. The restaurant has a feel of "Always been there". It is classic, retro-modern and sophisticated but unpretentious.
The outdoor patio overlooks Centennial Park, the Fountains and the Intracoastal Waterway. It is shaded with overhead awning and seats 30 people in a Riviera-like setting.

The food at Pistache was excellent. The wait staff was good and attentive. The only problem, and it has nothing to do with the restaurant, is the construction going on outside. we live in Fort Lauderdale, and we will be back.
It’s been too long! I have always eaten well here but having moved to Delray I don’t come as often as I used to hadn’t been here in approximately a year and a half. It’s still great. My date raved about her dish and I thoroughly enjoyed my coqauvin. And, of course, the bread was as good as ever and the espresso at the end was perfect. Service was friendly and attentive and you don’t need to take out a bank loan to pay the check. It continues to be one of my favorites.
Very pleasant experience. We opted to do the Prix Fixe menu which was not offered to us, but I had done my research beforehand and was aware of the deal. I found it strange that they were trying to hide the flavor of palm beach event that allows individuals to purchase items at a reasonable price. Overall the food was delicious
Start to finish!
One of our favorite restaurants. Food always great
As always, Eva was wonderful and the food was delicious! Pistache never disappoints and worth the minimal construction inconvenience downtown. Fantastique!
One of the best Sunday brunches ever. First time there, but certainly not the last. What a wonderful restaurant. Eggs benedict with REAL hollandaise sauce. Cocktails with actual liquor in them and a wonderful, attentive staff. Eva, our server, provided exceptional service with a pleasant personality and a great sense of humor.
They had live Spanish music... and combined with the general ambiance and the delicious food it made for a wonderful evening!
A night in Madrid turned out to be a night in Hell!! Misleading in advertising Paella that was Not!! what paella should be like and very limited menu !! service Not good either!! Too noisy and could Not hear the guitar players from the room we were seated in even though I requested a quiet table or booth when i reserved the table !! very disappointed in the whole experience! downtown West Palm Beach streets are all broken up and had no easy access to the restaurant and we were not advised about valet parking !! One of our party walks with a cane ... the other is hearing impaired!! needless to say... it was a terrible evening!
We arrive for our reservation at the restaurant after 10 minutes waiting the waiter came and told us that the special of the day was buy one entree and get one free
So we did
I ordered the paella which was the worse paella i ever ate ,the rice was over cooked and i almost broke my tooth on it
We received no attention not even a refill on water . I complain to the waiter but he did not care
When i got the check i noticed there was a 20 percent tip added to the bill and when i asked about that the manager replied that it was because of the promotion which was the price of the dish . So no discount was given and the tip of 20 percent was a scam , beware of that !
I am from france and this is the worse experience going to a french restaurant that is over priced .dont let them foul you like they did to me .
There were 3 of us meeting for lunch this past Saturday,
The food and the service was good. The French onion soup was delicious as we the croque monsieur’s. One person got the mussels and wasn’t thrilled. They were small and several were empty. We had no room left for dessert.
The issue we had was the parking. Since Clematis Street is totally torn up, we were told they had complimentary valet parking near the restaurant for Clematis St. We found the big sign that said VALET CLEMATIS STREET PARKING so we pulled up and was told it was $10! The hostess at the restaurant (who was also our server) told us we parked at the wrong valet. Since it was totally confusing, we asked her to validate for us and she refused. We asked to speak with the manager. Unfortunately, the manager never came to our table. Very disappointing!
I imagine because of Clematis being such a mess, it’s keeping patrons away. The restaurant was almost empty on a Saturday.
I can’t see going back there, at least until the construction is completed.
I also suggest that if your customers ask to speak to a manager, you send the manager over.
Great food as always
We ordered a lot of food and everything came out perfectly! Fantastic service too!
An absolute fine dining experience! We definitely will visit again.
Coq au vin was a little salty with the bacon chunks included. Other chicken dishes were very good. Server was excellent. Overall, atmosphere was nice. A terrific evening.
Menu needs to be refreshed. It hasn't changed in what seems like forever. Enjoy Pistache, but looking for something different on the menu.
Got sick off the food. Low quality ingredients and preparation. Spent all night up with stomach pains after eating here.
Cocktails are mediocre as is the service. The waitress added a 20 percent tip for herself too. Probably would have come out similar but small annoyance to add to the much larger problems with this restaurant.
My husband and I have been going to Pistache almost every year for our Anniversary. Every visit has been wonderful and romantic thanks to the great service. Marco was delightful and had a great sense of humor. Our entrées were delicious and every bite was better than the last. We’re looking forward to our next visit
Too bad there is not a choice for I am not sure if I would recommend Pistache French Bistro to a friend or not? I do have to say that the food was very good and the waitress did tell us about a special before it had expired to take advantage of the special. But the service was a little lacking in the fact that I had to go find the waitress to get a few things. The biggest kicker of all that was when we received the check that the gratuity was already added to the bill and there was only 2 of us. I would understand this if it was a party of 6 or more but to add that on without any consent is just plain rude. So I would say that this person may have cheated themselves out of more than 20% gratuity.
The food was served and presented very nicely----my steak was about as good as I have ever had-----my wife's Salmon was also very good------
Our server was very friendly and when asked for something she came right back with it-----
Little pricey but you get what you pay for
Best Steak au prov in Palm Beach county. Special deal was great, buy one get one free.
We had the escargot (delicious), I had the Mahi special (delicious beyond words) and my wife had the steak tartar (not so good). Bread and butter also very good.
True bistro ambiance. Great salad, bread and dishes. The crème brulee was outstanding. Wish we lived closer to be able to come back more often
The food and service e were great, as they are every time. Only issue is the horrible seats. Should be better since everyone seems to stay for a while.
Food was well-prepared and presented artfully. Service was attentive. And the summer BOGO sure helped.
Service was slow though the restaurant was not particularly busy. My empty ice tea was never refilled. The veggie plate had a nice lentil salad though it was pretty salty. However, the mushroom on the plate was over-cooked with little flavor and the zucchini blossom tasted dry and as if it was reheated. The ratatouille was excellent so I’d wished there was more of that to enjoy.
Outstanding French onion soup. Service was good and the ambience gave a true bistro feel.
What a great find! My wife who is from Paris raved about the Torchon and I had never seen some of the Chateauneuf wines on any other wine list....anywhere! I would like to have tried the charcuterie offering that included French sausage and the pate but the Torchon won out. Next time!
Awesome food. Great service. Love it!
This restaurant never disappoints and always has great food great service and just an all around favorite place to go on a Saturday night or any night of the week really
We always go to Pistache for birthdays and anniversaries in addition of our regular dinners out. We were dissapointed with the quality/taste of both our steak frites and moules. Seems that for the off season or their BOGO offers they use a lower grade of meat or shortcut somehow on their usually amazing entrees. Spent $225 for four and got a free dessert as birthday gift. We can only hope things will change once the Summer is over!
We were seated on the patio, which we requested. It is located in the street and there was no music. The food was very nice as was the service.
One thing that was odd, they added 20% gratuity to the bill. I would understand this if we were a large party, but there was just 2 of us.
Great food and service. Very nice outside dining. We definitely recommend this restaurant for classic French cuisine.
Mussels with good wine....what could be better? The service was very attentive.
WOW! Fourth of July special was DELIGHTFUL(Brased Brisket with Bacon Beans and Fennel Slaw.. YUM)! Staff (Taylor) was super fun and helpful and this location is the Best for any kind of downtown/amphitheater event. We also saw the joy of others as they had amazing Filet and fish dishes! Would love to eat here REGULARLY!
Always a good experience!
Dined at Pistache many times , never disappointed .
Delicious food, excellent service, we’ll be back!
We celebrated our 11 year anniversary at Pistache and couldn’t have been happier with the food and experience! The charcuterie was the best we’ve ever had. We highly recommend the duck “ham” and manchego cheese. The zucchini blossom beignets were delicious as well. The filet au poivre was sooo yummy as was the lamb. Dessert was awesome and the ambience is always amazing. We love sitting outside and people watching. The experience was wonderful and Pistache continues to be our favorite restaurant.
