Impressed with the quality of food and service. We've always hesitated to go because the prices are high, but with a locals 2 for 1 offer we decided to give it a go. I can see where the prices comes from - the quality bar is definitely up there. Still think it's slightly too high, maybe 15 - 20%, but not as much off as I originally thought.

This restaurant offers some of the finest ambiance on Main Street. The scallops are exceptional—definitely a must-try. Both the bread basket and french onion soup make excellent starters to begin your meal. Our server, Tess, was wonderful and very patient with our rather large rambunctious group.

My second time at PCR and ordered the salmon, as I did on my first visit. I requested it a bit less than medium and received it more than medium with too much of a char on the outside. My previous salmon was moist; this was on the verge of being dry. My husbands lamb shank was delicious as was the beef crudo starter. It was a beautiful evening and we enjoyed sitting outside. Service was very attentive and pleasant.

The food is very good but Pinecone Ridge is the most expensive restaurant on Main Street so it should be a bit more unique and memorable. I ordered the same entree at Le Depot & PCR within 24 hours and it was much more creative and tasty at Le Depot!

The restaurant was mostly empty although we were there early with a 6:30 reservation. The menu is fairly eclectic. My husband had the diver scallops which he said were good. I had the salmon. I asked for it to be medium and the server indicated it was normally served cooked medium well. I agreed to her suggestion. The "sides" or vegetables provided with the main course are minimal and not all of what they put on the plate is included in the description on the menu. Understanding the complete entree would be useful. My salmon arrived with hash burn marks in it that would rival a grilled sirloin steak. The medium well cooking ruined the fish-the salmon was dry, overcooked and overpowered by the charcoal taste. Our server was terrific-stretched thin but able to make it all work. She was the only server in the restaurant and was being assisted by the maitre de. The prices are sky high. In our opinion, above many of the restaruants on Main Street but in line with other Bill White restaurants. But, at the other restaurants the portion size and overall taste relative to the price and Pine Cone Ridge product is a much better both in value as well as the meal. Normally, at Grappa and Chimayo, there is enough in an entree portion to take 1/2 home for a meal the next day. Not the case for Pine Cone Ridge. We hadn't been in a long time and will stick with Chimayo and Grappa as well as Windy Ridge in the future.
