   A great addition to Laguna Beach dining scene. Stylish, good food, good friendly service, back patio is more quiet.

   The menu is fun and different, clearly in the Mediterranean genre. Service is great. Food is great, very light and fresh. Portions are large. Can’t wait to go back.

   love the food. beautiful restaurant. For dinner it is just too loud for me to talk to my dinner mates. It is a fun and lively spot with excellent food. Love the menu. just to loud for me. Maybe Lunch is a better time

   We had a fabulous time. Our server Robert was friendly and attentive and the food was delicious. Definitely will return. 😀

   The service at this restaurant was attentive without being overbearing. Water glasses were topped off, plates were removed promptly. Staff knew the menu and were welcoming. The interior of the restaurant is modern minimalist with light wood and white tabletops. On a foggy day it felt cold and clammy. On a hot summer day it would be refreshing to sit in this restaurant. We started with the grilled calamari which was more salad than calamari. What was there was perfectly grilled and delicious. Our main courses: my guest had the bbq chicken flatbread which he said was well seasoned. The flatbread appeared to be freshly baked on premises. I had the mezze plate which was disappointing. The tabbuleh salad was mostly parsley, with minimal bulgur wheat, onions and tomatoes. I had one bite and no more. The kibbeh was crispy and well seasoned as was the borek. The hummus and babaghanouj were major disappointments. The hummus had no salt, and the texture was mostly chick peas and minimal tahini and garlic. The babaghanouj tasted mostly of hummus and not eggplant. I left the remainder of my plate (olives, pickles and cucumbers) without tasting. The pita bread was great, came out puffy and just baked.

    Our second time eating at Pinafini. New , very beautifully designed, quite chic! Multiple seating options, located right in the center of Laguna Beach. Menu is a nice mix of Mediterranean and American fare. Service is always lovely, Roberto served us very nicely.
