Hotel Australasia is a newly opened Hotel and Restaurant located on the south coast in Eden.
Pikes Bistro is the first food offering to open in December 2022, serving up mouthwatering dishes made from the best local produce. Luke Wakefield, our head chef from Western Australasia, leads the team to ensure all dishes are served to the highest standard.

Pikes is a cafe and bistro where all are welcome for lunch and evening meals, Pikes is named after our legendary Aunty Pike.

The Australasia was originally opened in 1904 by female entrepreneur Sabina Pike, who was affectionally known in Eden as Aunty Pike. Famous for her big and welcoming personality, she was the landlord of Hotel Australasia for more than two decades.

Part of her vision was to cultivate the land behind the hotel as a kitchen garden, and today we have continued that vision, with produce from our own land featured on the Pikes menu alongside ethically, locally sourced ingredients.

Lovely Bistro with fabulous pizzas, we thought the renovations at the Australasia Hotel including the Bistro were beautiful. The pizzas we ordered were beautiful, including a vegan one which our son loved. The seating was relaxed and spacious, but the bistro wasn't overly busy. If I had to be picky, it would only be that the level of choice of food is a little limited, but what we had was really beautifully made and very tasty.

Lovely building, too noisy in the outdoor area. Will be good when there are more dining options.
