Pietro Cucina Italiana
It was very busy
Nice outdoor seating and very good Italian menu.
Beautiful ambience, incredible food, a delicious evening!
Had dinner here with friends. Appreciated that they have outdoor seating. It was crowded and the service was a bit inattentive by mid-meal. Food that I tried was very good -octopus, gnocchi, and shrimp. Others had the veal and a met pasta dish and all enjoyed their choices.
My wife and I wanted to take our daughter out to celebrate her new job.
We have to been to Pietro’s several times already and the great food and close proximity to our home made this decision an easy one.
All three of our meals were DELICIOUS! Luigi our waiter was very good and Pietro himself even came over to ask how our dinner was and sent over some limoncello for us to enjoy after dinner.
We look forward to our next time there.
PS, if the Rib Eye is on the menu get it! One of the best steaks I have ever had!
Thanks for another great evening Pietro’s!
Food, service and ambiance was outstanding. We cannot wait to go back again.
Everything was delicious. We had the grilled octopus and the mussels for an appetizer. The mussel portion is huge by the way. For dinner we shared the salmon and it was cooked perfect and was delicious. Our server, Lorene was excellent as well. It was a crowded night and our service was outstanding!!
Outstanding place. The food is great and the outdoor and indoor space is comfortable and clean. Classy and authentic.
I truly enjoy dining at Pietros. The food is amazing and the service is excellent. It is a very friendly dining experience and I would absolutely suggest this restaurant for dinner.
Specials were fantastic. Service was good. Staff is always very friendly
Excellent food and service. True authentic Italian food. Pietro is an amazing restaurant owner
It’s always my go to! The food, the staff and ambiance are always the best around. Thank you Pietro for always making it a great experience no matter what day of the week it is.
I had high hopes for Pietro Cucina Italiana. After all, they have big shoes to fill as the prior location of Mirabelle and Kitchen A Bistro. Now, the good: The food was excellent. I ordered a special with lobster, scallops, shrimp, and homemade pasta. It was really very good but took nearly 2.5 hours from start to finish with no dessert or coffee. The server was very busy, but inattentive. I asked for a seafood cracker for my lobster and it took several minutes while the dish was getting cold. He didn’t come by to check on us, make eye contact, or apologize for the lengthy wait. The outdoor dining ambiance was wonderful and the live music was great. I would give them another chance because the food was really very nicely prepared and unusual flavors. I felt like they should have offered something for inconveniencing our whole evening.
Our server had no clue what was on the
Menu. The specials menu had Lamb Chop , we asked if that was a single chop or just a typo . He repeated three times during our conversation that it was a rack of lamb. It was not it was three average at best loin
Chops. We asked about a sardine salad , he told us it was chopped pieces , it was not what it was was fried whole sardines skin head and bone, tasted good but a bit unappetizing. Our other two diners decided on a linguine with clams in a branzino Ragu , no ragu oil and garlic hardly any clams maybe 3 . Either the owner should serve what the menu says or the waiter should learn to read.
Wonderful outdoor dining!!
Don’t book a “late” reservation if you’re looking to enjoy your meal and not be rushed - our reservation was at 8:30. We were told we had to order app and entree at the start. Why couldn’t we order the app that we knew we wanted before deciding on a meal. The staff clearly wanted to get home and move the dinner along to the point where we left wine on the table. No one asked us if we wanted dessert either. Won’t go back based on their service. If you don’t want guests to enjoy their meal, then don’t show 8:30 or later reservations. Wasn’t looking to be there until 11pm but also wasn’t expecting to be served the bill after the last bite. Disappointing after hearing such great things
Great meal and service. Loved the homemade pasta!
Excellent evening for outdoor dining. Staff was great and the food was perfect
We’ve passed this restaurant forever and have wanted to try. Glad we did. Very crowded which is a great sign of good food and service.
We had outdoor dining which was great. No rush with service which was greatly appreciated.
I was in a mood for steak and ordered the NY Strip. Asked for med-rare and got med-well. Wasn’t happy but it was still delicious. Server provided us with a complimentary after dinner drink which was greatly appreciated.
Everyone else ordered Italian and their food was delicious. We will come again. When driving by and see the lights, come in for a great meal.
Great food ; sat inside was a bit loud
Pietro wasn’t there that night and it was truly evident. I’ll leave it at that.
Always a great experience!
Outstanding food and fabulous service. White tablecloths and outdoor patio seating as well. The best bronzino around. The eggplant appetizer is also my favorite.
My wife and I had dinner with another couple. As we waited for other couple it took a while to be asked for a cocktail. Other couple arrived and put in drink order. We toasted to memorial day weekend and the waiter just basically came over and said what can I get you. My wife and I ordered the Rabbit cacciatore special. It looked delicious but it tasted like the salt shakers fell into the pan. It was literally so salty that my wife snd I could’t finish it. We told the waiter but nothing was done with check or deserts or free round of drinks.......nothing. Since rabbit is not readily available and common I question the freshness of it since it was so heavily salted. I had a stomach issue at restaurant and all through night into morning.
We both loved our meals and the service. The conversation noise level made it difficult to hear each other.
Always fantastic. Best restaurant on long Island. Pietro is always warm, welcoming and attentive. His personal touch is always present. And his wine pucks are top notch.
We booked a table for 930. Kitchen closes at 9.
Was closed!!! Drove all the way there for NOTHING
Reserved outside and was not outside. Totally ignored by bus service did not bring bread extra utensils etc
Made reservations on a Saturday night 5 minutes before I arrived . We were seated at a table which was situated in the corner alone , enjoyed the seclusion out to eat with my wife . Waitress took our order promptly and was very nice . Drinks came out right away , with main course to follow . The whole chicken was delicious but undercooked and bloody on some pieces . The lamb shank was cooked to perfection . No dessert tonight , will be back , good neighborhood restaurant.
Pietros is a “go to” for us. The food is outstanding, and the service and ambiance are great. I would recommend Pietros to anyone looking for authentic Italian cuisine.
Food was delicious! Service was accommodating. Great selection and ambiance.
Can’t wait to go again.
We got there at 710 for a 7pm reservation. We were seated at 720. We ordered drinks. It took 25 min. We ordered dinner. By 9pm we still didn’t have our food. So we left. The place was a madhouse. Shortage of help. It was a miserable experience. Would never go back
The food, atmosphere, and service were all excellent! The appetizers of burrata with prosciutto and carpaccio were gorgeous, delicious and generous! The stuffed pork chop was amazing! Pasta with shrimp in pesto sauce was so good and so much we enjoyed it for lunch the next day! So happy to have made it here during restaurant week!
Favorite is the appetizer. I ordered Montauk swordfish but it is not as good as what I expected. My friend ordered pork chop which is very tasty.
Food was presented well, just not seasoned at all, everything was bland. Even desert had no sweet taste with the brownie/ ice cream.
Service was quite good but inside is a confined and one load table make it hard to have any conversation.
We chose Pietro Cucina for a birthday celebration, and we needed a restaurant that would accommodate and honor an outdoor reservation, which they did. We were warmly greeted by Pietro, and shown to a table with heaters. The waiter could not have been nicer. The food was outstanding and truly homemade. The only downside was that the restaurant was quite busy (Saturday night), so the food came out very slowly. Overall, it was a lovely dining experience and we will surely be return patrons.
aside from having a celebratory dinner party next to us they were very loud and enjoying themselves, however we were sitting outside where the acoustics were not great, we enjoyed the food and staff
