Pierpont's at Union Station has been providing food and service as memorable as the historic setting since its inception in 1999. Named for railroad baron J.P. (Pierpont) Morgan, Pierpont's serves perfectly aged prime steaks and fresh seafood arriving daily. To complement your culinary selections, we maintain an extensive wine list featuring bottles from all over the globe, as well as boast a gorgeous 2-story bar equipped with a rolling library ladder.

Our Private Dining Rooms-located in the Wine Cellar, along with the Pierpont's Belvedere Room on the 2nd floor overlooking Grand Hall, offer more intimate settings for groups of 6 to 60. They are perfect for business or entertaining guests and each room is individually decorated, offering an exceptional place to celebrate a special occasion, close the deal, or have a gathering with friends.

                Fantastic service and meal. Every person, piece of the meal, and drink were top shelf. Loved the place and experience! Couldn’t have chosen a better place to celebrate our 44th anniversary.

                Wonderful service in a beautiful location. Salmon dish was excellent, flounder was past its prime, with a slight ammonia taste. Don’t order unusual fish in a steak restaurant! Can’t say enough good about the rest of the food, ambience, and service.

                We noted in our reservation that it was a special occasion and requested a table with a nice view. The restaurant was nearly empty when we arrived, yet we were seated in a small room right next to the kitchen—not exactly the atmosphere we were hoping for. We started with drinks and oysters. The drinks were fantastic, but unfortunately, the oysters were a major disappointment. They arrived somewhere between warm and cool—not cold, as they should be. They were also dry and stuck to the shell, which made us wonder how long they’d been sitting around. To top it off, the few we tried were crunchy—a first for me, and not in a good way. We sent them back and decided not to order anything else. Given the reputation of this place, the experience was surprising and really underwhelming. Very disappointed. :(

                Pierpont’s was excellent! The Sunday evening crowd was slim but it was great for a business dinner among four of us. The service experience was among the best I ever had. The food was excellent - however I’m not clear that they understand “Pittsburg” preparation for steak. The prices seemed high but this was also expected in KC.

                The food was just outstanding from the oysters to the salads and then the coffee/pepper incrusted KC Strip. Our server Chenoah was superb in handling our food and drink order. The only negative is the two-person booth. There just doesn't seem to be enough space to sit and relax. The food and service though countered that short term problem. We will be back, but I will be sure to ask for a table or bigger booth.
