They are just making the transition to dinner service. Food was great. There was a private party there so the service was a bit lagging but overall excellent

do not go to this restaurant. $72 for an espersso martini, a small pizza and crazy small (2”x2”) $21 eggplant parm that came w no pasta, veggie or salad. 1 bathroom is odd for a restaurant w this many seats. 5% service charge added to bill for increased costs - complete BS. just increase the prices - stop the hidden fees u sneak onto the bill. I Do Not recommend this place, do not go.

We were meeting someone who was here for a conference so we suggested meeting here. She arrived first and had coffee and we arrived 15 mins later. We waited over 35 minutes to even be offered water. We ordered the egg dish and the salmon skewer to split and, when asked how we wanted the salmon cooked, my friend said well -cooked, not raw at all. A different server later told us there was no brioche to go with the egg dish, and was offered sourdough. The server came back 2 mins later and said they were out of sourdough. So why offer it? The food arrived and the salmon was barely cooked and it was want worth sending it back. My friend’s egg with brioche arrived with a baguette and the meat completely missing. The original sever came by later and saw the salmon had barely been eaten but we were over it so didn’t say anything either. The place was not full at all. We had to get up to request water many times. The spritzes which were good on previous occasions were not at all the same. It’s too bad because our prior experiences here had been good. We were disappointed because we suggested it to out of town people based on prior experiences, so we paid the bill. We asked our guest about the panini and that she left 3/4 on the plate said it all.

We were drawn into the restaurant by the window sign offering “authentic Sicilian cannoli“ beside the plate of empty pastry tubes, confirming the sign to be accurate. (Pre-filled cannoli tubes get soggy) The furnishings are simple, even utilitarian. However, the food is excellent in preparation and presentation and the service was equal to it. We knew we had found authentic Italian cuisine when we noticed the party at the table beside us were speaking Italian. This restaurant is a remarkable value given its location.

Great spot for a casual dinner! Food was delicious. Loved everything we ordered. Service was friendly but there were a few misses with one entree being forgotten and having to follow up on it twice.

Came across this place while walking through Palmer Alley, its location is pretty good especially for the price it offers. A quaint cafe, food is very good and simple however, not a lot to choose from. Great wines and pizzas. A good and simple italian meal if you are looking for one The service varies, our server was a little cold but nothing too bad. Food came well within time and beverages were good - wine, cocktails, coffee.

There was just no food. No pizza, no sandwiches, etc. I am not sure why they were even open or accepting reservations. We had to find another place to eat.

We waited to be seated despite having a reservation. The service was absolutely chaotic. Our food was served cold. Pizza was room temperature and soggy, despite waiting thirty minutes for it. We wanted to try dessert to try to save the experience, but our waiter brought the bill without even asking whether we wanted dessert or more drinks, which we did. Overall poor experience. Very disappointing.

I entered the lowest levels because you gave no other option to address my concern. I made a reservation on OpenTable for Piccolina for 11/19/24 at 7:15 for 2. OpenTable confirmed my reservation. My wife came downtown from Chevy Chase, MD to meet me. When I met her at the restaurant, the staff told me they were closed because they had just hosted a private event and were cleaning up. We walked across to Centrolina and had dinner there. That was not where we had planned to go, and we wound up spending much more for dinner than we would have spent at Piccolina -- $215 vs $135. That's not acceptable! Imagine if I had a larger party! I don't know whether the fault lies with OpenTable or Piccolina, but it certainly shakes my confidence in booking through OpenTable. I'd appreciate hearing your explanation. And I would hope that, to make up for the extra $80 we had to spend for dinner, either (1) OpenTable will deposit dining points in my account equal to $80 or (2) Piccolina or OpenTable will issue a gift card to us for use at the restaurant in the amount of $80. Thank you.
