Picasso Restaurant & Bar specializes in Spanish-style tapas and offers a wide selection of beer and cocktails. Inside the restaurant, a Picasso painting has come to life. The tables are decorated with a design reminiscent of the great painter's geometric designs, while prints of his work hang on the wall. The colors are a wonderful mash of bright reds, blues and yellows, giving Picasso Restaurant & Bar a look that is unlike any other. Guests can also enjoy live entertainment on select evenings.
The menu's tapas are meant to be ordered a few at a time and shared amongst friends. Picasso Restaurant & Bar has many seafood options, like the grilled calamari, crab cakes, PEI mussels and shrimp skewers. If guests want something heartier and more satisfying, there is also a menu section of larger grilled entrees, like the hangar steak and Pablo burger.
We had been there a while back; still a really enjoyable night!! Great tapas; great wine list and really terrific desserts! We took my sister out with us and were really happy we had shown her the great experience that is Media, PA.
The menu had changed since last we were there and everything was terrific!
I was delighted on finding this small gem in downtown Media. It was a delicious light fare meal and will go back next time I visit Pennsylvania Philadelphia area.
I enjoy dining at Picasso as the service is great and sangria is delicious! However, some of the tapas items are not really tapas. I believe it could be more authentic or take those items off the menu. For example the papas fritas are french fries with ketchup and a couple of other dipping sauces. A bit sad. It should be papas bravas!
First time here. The food was very good, menu is on the small size. Prices are average. $40.00 for 4 drinks, which I thought was high. But I will go back.
Excellent happy hour menu. Shrimp skewers and crab cakes were really tasty!
Wanted a place to taste several small plates, they did not disappoint. The decor could be updated, a couple of prints of Picasso works would make sense in a place named Picasso's.
This of course is not the reason you go to eat at this place, the food was good, the menu provided a good sample of many flavors. It was New Years and they also had a price fixed multi course meal which sounded great, but I really wanted to sample more of their dishes and small plates are great that way.
What I was most impressed with was the beer selection, with 13 taps rotating, they seemed to have a least 2-3 items on tap that would meet your expectations.
Open Mic night started at 9pm so if you're looking for quiet conversation, which we were, go a little earlier in the evening. Other than that everything was terrific. My friend and I shared a few small plates and one entree. papa frittes with three dips, lamb skewers, calamari and fish special and we enjoyed everything! Calamari was slightly over cooked as Calamari often is but the flavor was delicious.
This was not my first time at Picasso; all have been great. Food choices not extensive but soooo good. The chicken entrée was interesting & delicious.
We took advantage of the Restaurant Week $30 prix fixe dinner and it was very, very good. Excellent selections, very well prepared. We highly recommend this restaurant
Had an 8 PM reservation and there was not a single other table of diners, yet one uncleaned table. Three people at the bar, loud music, and how it is possible, I don't know, but cigarette smoke. The hostess greeted me by saying "no you don't" when I said I had a reservation and then said "Oh, you must have made this today" When my guests arrived, we decided not to stay. I'd eaten here in years past and it had been a really nice spot. Not sure if it was a bad night or that time hasn't been kind to the restaurant. (I clicked "fair" for food though we didn't eat; can't submit form without. Menu was fair looking, best guess.)
Enjoyed our dinner here last Saturday evening. The front of the restaurant opens to the outside and we sat at the in the restaurant but felt like we were outside. The food was very good and we enjoyed sharing several small plates. Nice selection of craft beers on tap.
Not impressed at all. If you're looking for authentic tapas, do not come here. The grilled calamari was tough and drowned with pepper flakes. The PEI mussels were tiny and flavorless. The sangria tasted like straight cranberry juice. Wait staff knew nothing about the cheeses. Would not go back!
We had a confirmed OpenTable reservation for Wed nite (DUTS) with outside requested. There was no table reserved, telling us that they didn't reserve tables during DUTS. If not, then take them off availability on OpenTable!! We only got a table because 2 nice women switched tables for us. Our server was wonderful, calmly and efficiently serving too many tables.
We enjoyed the option of small plates or full sized entrees. The food was very good and the service was very attentive,
