Piatti Restaurant - San Antonio, Eilan Ratings and Reviews
We’ve been to both locations numerous times and the food is certainly tasty, but if you’re looking for value you won’t find it here. Two entrees, one shared salad, 2 beers, 1 tea, 2 coffees came to $105 before tip, so it’s not likely your everyday choice for dinner. Three small slices of veal piccata buried under a huge mound of spinach, while delicious, shouldn’t leave you hungry for $23.
When we arrived at the restaurant they had a high top table in the bar area. We had guests from out of town we assumed that we would have a table in the dining room area. We asked to talk to the manager and he apologized that they did not have a table in the dining area but they would seat us in the dining area as soon as possible. While we waited they provided us with drinks and an appetizer. The manager made a bad situation into a good situation. We go to this restaurant on a routine basis and the food was excellent as usual. Open table should consider placing an option when reserving that indicates if you want to sit in the bar area or the dining area.
Not the best place for New Years Eve. The food was cold and the server was bored and dropped plates twice . He was totally uninterested at being there . The music was sporadic . The whole restaurant staff seemed to be more concerned about a table for 2 that was sat behind us . Bad place !!!
Loved this location!!! Server was friendly, location was beautiful, food was amazing!!! I had the house made ravioli that came in a sauce that was to die for!! My husband had the Rigatoni with Italian Sausage. He says the sausage was the real deal!! We will definitely be back soon!! Price was amazing compared to other date night restaurants!!!!
Our family celebrated our daughter's 21st birthday on Saturday at noon. The staff was excellent and made the whole occasion feel so special. My daughter and her friends enjoyed themselves so much. My daughter's boyfriend is from Wales, so it was so nice to show him great hospitality at this wonderful restaurant. When his parents come to the United States again to visit, we are going to take them out eat at this wonderful restaurant.
For some reason when one of the guests in our party of 3 arrived she was told I had no reservation. The restaurant even called me a day or so prior to confirm so I was a little disappointed. They did however have a bar top table available during a packed lunch but was not ideal.
All dishes were excellent and we had a wonderful lunch.
Piatti's is one of our "go to " places in San Antonio. Both locations are great; the Eilan location is quieter inside than the Quarry location; both have nice outdoor patios. We take out of town friends there for lunch/dinner or meet SA friends there for lunch/dinner. Definitely in our top 10 list.
