Piatti Restaurant - San Antonio, Eilan
Everything was wonderful. Albert, the Manager, was kind enough to greet us and welcome us back (we were there a few weeks ago and he helped us then). The service and food were both excellent.
Everything was great. Was told by server the cheesecake was good, but was pretty bland and basic. Server didn’t really know his wines either, but was very attentive and food came out on time and was great. Would definitely go back.
Food was fantastic. Service was great! Thanks Annie!
Had a great lunch here! We were surprised to find out that we were there for Happy Hour on a Saturday - prices and portions are great. We were there for our anniversary and they made sure to make our occasion special. We did have a food mix-up where we got something other than what we ordered, which was taken off the bill. Still a great experience and can't wait to return!
Food was excellent.
I confirmed my reservations via OPEN TABLE, but was called by restaurant personnel and asked to call back and confirm. Why aren't restaurant personnel reviewing my OPEN TABLE reservation?
After selecting a low tabletop seating on OPEN TABLE, upon arrival we were directed to a high tabletop so I asked to be reseated at a low tabletop. Again, aren't restaurant personnel looking at my OPEN TABLE reservations?
The server tried to pour wine from the bottle with the cap secured and she was confused as to why it wasn't pouring, so we told her.
Seafood pasta with lobster, shrimp and crab, a special, was watery and tasteless. Tiny pieces of seafood.
Probably THE BEST bruschetta ever eaten!
The only detractor was the lack of lighting. Ready g the menu after the lights were dimmed was difficult. Service was spot on without being over bearing.
Service was great!
We requested a specific table, but the host told us we couldn’t sit there because they were going to use that table (for 4) for a larger group (8-10 people). Ended up that that never used that table and we sat at a booth near the entrance. We didn’t argue, but we also didn’t understand how that small space was going to fit that many people. The booth would have fit at least 8. Food was good, just not good service.
One one the worst dinners we have had. So disappointed. We spent way to much for the experience. Food was served cold and presentation was sad. Lamb chops were fatty. Steak was so small, only a few bites. Six out of six people very disappointed. Plates sat in front of us well after meal. No excuse for the poor food quality, presentation and lack of service. We were seated at 5:30 and it wasn't busy. Do not recommend.
The hostess was very rude when we asked for a table instead of a bar top. My friend has myesthenia gravis and was not able to sit on a high table top and she was not very nice about trying to get us a table. The manager then proceeded to be very rude and actually said “can you let me talk” when I was trying to explain to him why we needed a table.
We ordered a bottle of wine and the server never refilled our glass with wine we had to pour our bottle the whole time . The service was subpar.
Disappointed that a limited menu was only available for Christmas Eve. Food could have been hotter Pork shank tasted old but overall a pleasant experience with friends
We hadn’t been to Piatti in a couple years and were excited to go back; unfortunately, all 6 adults in our group agreed the food lacked flavor (several different entrees ordered) and the service was excruciatingly slow...over two hours for dinner with a two year old and an infant.
Food was outstanding as always. Service was very good until it became busier, but still worth the trip there.
Great food!! Celebrating a birthday and they helped make it sow ual
Fantastic experience, amazing wine choices, outstanding service.
Service was not good. Our waitress was also tending bar and at times we were totally ignored. Food was good, not great! Dessert was great, with a candle
Arsenio was awesome, the food was good and the dessert was GREAT. I wIlk return and recommend to friends.
The entire staff at Piatti’s was wonderful. Friendly, efficient and knowledgable. This was our Christmas celebration for our five friends and we had a truly terrific time.
The service was as perfect as the various food options that we ordered and the gluten-free menu was full of options. The bibb salad was a tasty combination of lettuce, pickled onion, and candied walnuts. We moved on to the main dishes of ricotta and spinach ravioli in lemon cream sauce, tilapia picatta, and the shaved zucchini and chicken. Each dish was prepared perfectly and every bite was delicious. Make sure to save room for dessert. The crema catalana and tiramisu were perfect endings to a satisfying meal. Piatti never disappoints.
Piatti's restaurant was too dark, unable to read the menu and they were out of some entrees. The waiter wasn't very attentive, he had too many tables.
The night started wrong with the hostess trying to squeeze five people into a four-top. The reservation was for five people. The server made a mistake - blamed it on the kitchen - so four out of our five people received their meals together, the fifth person waited 20 minutes to get their meal. The restaurant did not offer any discount, etc. The server was flip - the kitchen made a mistake. We have gone to Piatti's many times before at various locations - Sunday night was horrendous and we have family from out of town with us. We will choose another venue int the future.
It was a great experience. Great food and atmosphere
Consistently great experience at Piatti! Food, service and atmosphere all 5 star.
Everything from the food to the friendly staff was outstanding! Every single person was treated like 5 star customers and it was such an enjoyable night from beginning to end!
Our server was fabulous. We were celebrating an engagement and everyone from the hostess to anyone that came to our table made us feel very special. The food is fabulous. I always get the rustic pasta.
This was our first visit to Piatti's and we were so impressed. We received such personal attention from
the moment we walked in. Service was outstanding as well as the food. We had the petit fillet with shrimp and also the salmon dinner. At first I wondered why the waitress did not bring me a steak knife for my fillet, but then I cut into it and realized it was so tender, like cutting butter, and delicious to boot!
We shall definitely return!
Very nice! The staff was attentive, and the food was great!
The waitstaff was very attentive. The restaurant printed custom birthday menus for our daughter. Made her birthday celebration very special!
We go here quite often so I sound like a broken record. We love Piatti restaurant for the location, the drinks, the food and the ambience.
Service was good. Ordered the pork chop. Specifically asked the server if it was on the dry side. Assured that it was juicy and delicious. Unfortunately the portion of the chop that was cooked was dry as a bone. The remaining portion which was literally raw was not edible. After informing Mia (the server) the manager was quick to respond and presented the plate to the chef. I was asked if I wanted a replacement meal and the manager removed the charge. I explained that I was not after a free meal and completely understood that mistakes happen. We added the cost of the comped meal to Mia’s tip. Needless to say we were disappointed that our date night (few and far between) started off this way. I will stick to Perry’s for pork chops! Overall it’s a great place for reasonably priced wine selections and cocktails. Don’t think we will be going back for a meal. I will say Mia and the manager handled the situation professionally and courteously.
Excellent Service - Wonderful Food and Great Place to enjoy a meal
Service is usually wonderful but this time, service was pretty poor, with little attention paid to our table. We had to ask for EVERY SINGLE THING.
This was my first time eating at this establishment, and it was a business lunch catering to clients. For the appetizer the fig jam and bread was great and is highly recommended. Meatballs were more like something that would come out of a bag from a store and the tomato sauce had too much of an acidic base for my tastes. One of our colleagues ordered a pizza and raved that it was great. I and another gentlemen ordered the Flounder. We both agreed the Flounder was drowned in a lemon sauce that totally overrode any hint of seafood taste which was a total letdown. Beyond that the ambience of the place is really nice, good for a date night or client meeting. There were several knats flying around while we were eating - which I suppose can happen anywhere depending on time and season so not holding this against the establishment.
Family favorite site, unfortunately wife’s meal was cold
This was our first time to Piatti’s. The food was great. We had the carpaccio; the capers were a really nice touch with the beef. The rest of the meal was fantastic too, with good proportions and perfect timing for each course.
Food came out cold. Disappointed for a classy place.
The service and food were not up to par. I hope it was just a bad night.
