Family favorite site, unfortunately wife’s meal was cold
This was our first time to Piatti’s. The food was great. We had the carpaccio; the capers were a really nice touch with the beef. The rest of the meal was fantastic too, with good proportions and perfect timing for each course.
Food came out cold. Disappointed for a classy place.
Very welcoming staff. The menu with customized message was a lovely touch that surprised our son and made him feel special. Our server was Valentina and she did a fantastic job! The food was delicious with large portions, enough for leftovers the next day! Overall great experience!
Planned an early dinner. Fortunately we were seated to the rear of the restaurant, as they enjoy a well attended Happy Hour. So the noise level was good for our conversations.
Our server seemed distracted and not focused on our table. He was always in a rush and yet did very little to “actually “ serve us. He rushed thru the order so quick a dinner salad was omitted. We had to ask for any condiments.
Food was good as usual
We had such a good time. It was my daughter’s birthday and Menu’s were printed specially for her with Happy Birthday wishes. Thank you for making her feel so special.
The service was good, but there was a hair in my wife’s food. For the price (~100) for two people, I would have expected better quality control. (Or at least a discount off the bill or something)
The food was wonderful and service couldn't have been better. The peach tea was extra special. Try it!
Great good. Great ambiance. Service a bit slow for a slow night. But still quality. Will be back.
Food was delicious and it was wonderful to sit outside on a beautiful San Antonio night. Service was poor with waiter disappearing for 30 minutes at a stretch.
This was our second visit to this Piatti's location and it did not dissapoint. The sweet potato encrusted trout is delicious with just the perfect sauce that does not overpower the flavor of the fish. Will go back again and again.
We can't wait to go back to Piatti Restaurant. On our favorites list for San Antonio.
Took my wife there for her birthday. Top of the menu had,"Happy Birthday". Nice touch. Food was excellent as was the service. Not our first time at this restaurant. Will be back again.
Celebrating a 16th b-day
I haven't really been able to enjoy an evening out with my wife in 2 years due to her chronic illness. Coming here has been the best decision I've made in a long time. The tears in her eyes after having a bite of her grilled fish was proof that this is what she needed to feel human again.
Food was tasty but it was very busy and service was a little slow.
Our daughters bday waited 6-8 min for water we enjoyed our dinner but waiter was not engaged at all
Every time we eat at Piatti and Eilan I am asked for a review. I write the same things over and over. We love this restaurant for the food, service, location and ambience and eat here about once a month. Highly rcommend.
There were many things that were great about Piatti’s. Unfortunately the food was disappointing. Flank steak was cold & not very flavorful. Sauteed spinach was extremely greasy. Fried potatoes were the worst! If these hadn’t been so bad I might have been Ok with the other food. The potatoes looked like they had been cooked earlier in the day, then refried again to heat them ip for my plate
Great food, excellent service. We will return!!!!!!
Food is always incredible and the service is great. This restaurant is always consistent. You cannot go wrong chasing Piatti, SA Eilan
Consistently delicious, good service and wonderful ambiance (including outdoor seating)!
It was a wonderful experience and great food.
Good food service atmosphere environment nice place
Piatti in La Jolla is one of my favorite restaurants in the states. This doesn’t come close. The service was awful. Our bottle of wine didn’t arrive until 15-20 minutes after food arrived. When I asked server about wine I was told he only does the food, not his job. Very disappointing.
Great food and service.
Food was okay, nothing fancy. Staff was nice and friendly. I was not impressed with the dessert menu. Had to send back my crème brûlée because it lacked flavor, I wasn’t impressed with the other dessert option I chose either.
Great restaurant, great service and great food
A little mix up in the kitchen caused our dinner to come out really late, but server and manager were extremely apologetic. Once the food did arrive, it was delicious! Will definitely return.
The ambiance was very pleasant and the restaurant looked extremely clean. Took over ten minutes for us to be greeted by our server. Crab cakes and calamari for appetizers. The calamari was good, but the crabcakes did not have a pleasant taste and overdone. Canneloni for entree and it was extremely bland and the stuffing was unimpressive. Had to continuously ask for refills of my ice tea even though he had a pitcher right by my table. Had the creme brule for dessert, it was the highlight of the meal. I might try it one more time as I love italian food, but there are several other italian eateries within the same driving distance
We went there for my daughter’s birthday, I even booked the reservation stating it was for her birthday. It was never acknowledged and we even told the waiter, we ended up doing desert at another restaurant to make it special for her afterwards. Very poor service, most of us didn’t even eat our food, and shared with others the dishes were so bad. Two of us ordered the lobster pasta dish it was so spicy and had so much pepper in it, while we love spicy food it was extreme, the dish description never even disclosed it was to be spicy. The description said it was supposed to be a lemon sauce. Sure would have been nice to send these two dishes back but waiter was no where to be found as usual. The spinach ravioli was very good!
Always good... Always a pleasure... Will always go back...
Food was consistent with other Italian restaurants like Maggiano's & Russo's. I apprreciated that you could boo a reservation online.
The evening at Piatti was excellent. The food and service were outstanding. The atmosphere and ambiance were great.
We love Piatti's, we go to the one in Eilan. I write the same review every time, food is great (crab cakes getting a little mushy though), the drinks, ambience, service etc., is all very good. We go to Eilan at least once a month.
It took forever for service! We sat for 20 minutes before we had anyone come over and offer us a drink. The food came quick but again took forever for the bill. I went to the restroom which was so nasty!! The restaurant looks tired and needs to be cleaned. I will not visit this location again!
Service and food was very good.
We love piatti’s. This location is a little more busier and fast paced then the other but the food is always good.
Had s great time celebrating my birthday. Brandon King was great.
Our family from Tennessee is staying in the Eilon Resort for a few days, so I suggested Piatti’s as a place to dine their first night in town. This was our first trip there also, so I was glad to see good reviews on Open Table and Trip Advisor. We were greeted warmly and seated immediately. Our server, Sean, was excellent from greeting, to suggesting items from the menu, to making sure beverages were kept filled. The menu and wine list were more than adequate, the food was perfectly prepared and presented, and the flavors were excellent. We enjoyed the rigatoni, shaved zucchini, ravioli and salmon.
