Thursday to Saturday: 5pm - 11pm
The food was fabulous and the servers were extremely friendly. Great ambience and a refreshing menu. Would definitely like to visit again!
The food was very heavy, and overly seasoned and salted.
Pizza was ok. Certainly wouldn’t brag about it though. Calamari was the highlight, crispy outside soft inside. 5 raviolis for $24 really stands out as the main disappointment of the night. They were good but not $5 a piece good. The noise level was also really loud which made the experience less fun. 3 different people attended our table throughout, which was weird because each time we thought it was our server, yet none of them formally introduced themselves as our server. Or even mentioned their names. I guess it’s not that kind of place. One just kinda stuck around after a few deliveries. He was great but never got his name. There was also a 4th person which we found out was the manager after.
Overall I’m fine with just going that one time, nothing made it worth going back to. Everything was just at par with a decent night out, not outstanding. Still better than Cibo. But many other better places to go in Toronto for proper Italian with better value in a quieter setting. Not a good choice for date night. 3/5.
Very disappointed. From selected wine not available, food was despicable. It was cold, small portion for a dinner portion, and I had to beg for cheese to perk up the plate. No bread, warm water and the waitress couldn't be bothered. For the outrageous price this was bad fast food quality. Shame on you.
Great for kids, the staff was extremely accommodating. This makes Mom and Dad Happy :)
I absolutely love this place. I had been there before and wanted to take my boyfriend for our anniversary. He was very happy not only with the food, but with the whole experience. We will most definitely will be coming back.
Overall a good experience. Only drawback was it seemed the kitchen couldn’t handle a restaurant that was half full. Maybe this was a one off but it took 65 minutes to get our food. Toast was burnt but they replaced it. The egg yolk raviolo was amazing! Definitely would recommend it and I would go again.
Great food, imaginative, tasty, well cooked. Excellent service, and exciting ambience.
This was our second time here and it’s still amazing! Everything is delicious but the egg yolk ravioli is a must.
I REALLY wanted to like Piano Piano. Splendid I had been one of my fave dining experiences in the city and, while we knew this was a totally different kind of restaurant, we still were so looking forward to trying Piano Piano. Right off the bat the service was well below par.....inattentive yet then we felt like we were being rushed through. Food is sub-par....we had a selection of “ok” appetizers, tried the pizza, one of the pastas. Highlight was probably the meatballs. I think that when you have so many great Italian places to choose from in this city, i was surprised this wasn’t better. Won’t go back.
You need more gluten free options. I googled gluten free restaurants and found this place but when I went in, there was barely anything I can eat and it was not very satisfying. The service was also very slow. It took us almost an hour to get our main course for lunch.
Too much salt, ordered a pasta, it had too much salt, same with a plate of fior di latte, pizza was good though. Service was awesome.
The food is the star here. Pasta amazing. Homemade, delicate and delicious. Service could better. Lovely people but they are either understaffed or not super organized. Ambiance works but only because food is so amazing.
The pasta didn’t have any toppings on, making it kinda boring to just eat the linguini by itself.
Excellent food. Great vegetarian options. We had the Burrata and was delicious.
Not our first visit and won’t be our last. We have always had excellent service and an amazing food experience. However; this last time one of the pizzas ordered we weren’t a fan of. The combination of toppings in that particular pizza (mayo?) were not appetizing. Aside from that our other food items and drinks were fantastic.
Another wonderful dinner.
Shared a chopped kale salad loaded with flavour - get bread with, or extra polenta in, this salad to balance the crazy flavours of the plentiful dressing, olives, and pickled onion. Crisped chick peas and goat cheese. Wow.
Shared the ravioli bolognese - perfection. Delicious, thick bolognese, and 5 amazing pieces of ravioli.
Shared 2 mains:
- seared scallops with grilled radicchio, orange and grapefruit
- veal medallions with roasted potato
Outstanding food, accomplished service, and a very nice setting.
Great atmosphere and delicious food. This is a really great spot for a casual dinner with friends or a special occasion. We will definitely be back.
Second time to PianoPiano in less than a month. We love it; more importantly, our kids love it and in fact request (aka demand!) that we go there.
The $24 lunch special is great value particularly because you still get a generous portion of the appetizer which at other places I find is sometimes ‘small sized’ when part of a meal special.
Great options for kids’ meals as well with really good variety which is fantastic for kids. The chef / owners have clearly made an effort to think about what kids eat and how they eat it. They have these neat ‘EZPZ’ Meal Trays that suction to the surface, meaning fewer spills.
On our most recent visit, we ate the wood fired mushroom salad, calamari fritti, raviolo and ravioli. The kids had Mac Bolognese, fruit skewer, sweet potato fries, roast chicken and chips & guac.
Wonderful ambiance and decor, delicious and authentic food, friendly and knowledgeable service...great heart. Highly recommend!
Overall really enjoyed the food however Shiloh served us and did an outstanding job ! We would go back because of him !
AMAZING! Best Italian restaurant in the city
An excellent meal. Service was amazing!
Everything was great, aside from the food that took way too long to arrive. I was done 2 glasses of wine way before our mains arrived.
Piano Piano is an amazing place for authentic Italian food. The ambience is very pretty. The decor is beautiful.
I ordered Garlic Bread with cheese, it was amazing and super soft. The cheese was mouth watering. It was for 12$. The chocolate tiramisu is to die for. It is called as the Nutella Chocolate Tiramisu. It has some cookies in between and Nutella, it is so far the best dessert I have ever tasted. It costs around 9$ but totally worth it. It is perfect for a date night. The staff is really good and food service is pretty quick. Its in downtown Toronto and 5 mins walk from Spadina Station. Make a reservation, it is preferable if you have a reservation.
We thoroughly enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere.
Fun night, great memories and will definitely return in the future.
Awesome experience!! Fantastic food and fantastic service and atmosphere. We WILL be back! 😎
No AC on the hottest day. Pretty miserable, food was good though.
Our experience first time to Piano Piano was outstanding. Vibrant atmosphere, really warm and knowledgeable wait staff and superb food taste and presentation. The simple menu with very creative selections invites us back to try more.
There are families with children in both tables beside us, and they were taken great care of. The food was very delicious.
My first ever experience with Piano Piano was fantastic. Our server was Monica and she was absolutely lovely. I couldn’t wait to come back and bring my partner and re-order the Eggyolk Raviolo. Seriously. It was to die for. That being said the whole experience is why I decided to come for my birthday. We had a reservation at 10:30 and came early to see if any tables opened up. We were greeted by 3 hosts, the head host (blonde hair, white blouse) was extremely cold and barely made eye contact. They sat us at the bar and informed us that we would be sat as soon as a table became available. Working in the industry I totally understand these situations and was more than happy to sit and have some drinks at the bar. We hadn’t even sat, or even taken off our jackets, let alone looked at a menu and the bartender asked us if we were ordering food and what we would like to drink. It just made the overall experience somewhat unsatisfying and completely different than the last one. Our server when we eventually were sat was nice and the food was delicious. Overall it wasn’t a very warm experience, I would come again but probably on a week night as it may be less busy.
The food was outstanding and the service matched. Quality place without the pretentious people. The insalada and calamari were flavourful. The ravioli was remarkable.
Delicious food, great service! We had lunch and didn’t feel at all rushed when we stayed on to chat and enjoy.
We thoroughly enjoyed celebrating our Girlfriend’s birthday luncheon. We four gals take turns in treating one another on our birthdays. We try different restaurants and Piano Piano delivered. We really loved the Truffle linguine. As well as the Calamari appetizer.
Their lunch special is amazingly inexpensive for exquisite dishes! Wash it down with a delicious “Sicilian Manhattan”. You’ll be happy you did! 5 stars!
Food overall was interesting and tasty. Service was attentive but food was rushed despite the fact that we asked it not to be rushed on ordering and during the appetizers. With all the choices in Toronto the food was not memorable enough to bring us back.
Our calamari was tasty but over-salted. My Rapini Gnocchetti Sardi ('Nuduja, Lemon, Garlic, Chili, Parsley) had almost no Nuduja and was a bit too subtly flavoured for my taste. I will give it another try in the hope that it was our specific choices one extra shake of the salt shaker.
Had a great dinner here. Wonderful menu. A little pricy but worth it.
Delicious! We did the family style meal and were able to try so many dishes.
It was our 7 year wedding anniversary and we were treated to complimentary glasses of champagne. We ordered the burrata and fried calamari to start which were both excellent! We shared the sweet hornet pizza (to die for!) and the bone-in veal Parmesan (another great choice!). We left the place in a carb coma, which was satisfying! Highly recommend! I loved the interior decor with the rose wall paper accents and cool hanging light fixtures.
The environment was great and service was nice. The food was a little salty. I like the piano downstairs.
