Generally I will recommend P.F. Chang’s
The issue with this meal was that the restaurant was very cold and the food was generally warm and slow which is odd since we were the first customers. Overall they weren’t ready to go.

Our server was great, but the food came out very slowly. We were seated in the row of tables right in front of the kitchen, and there was some kind of issue in the kitchen. Several orders were dragging and lots were sent back. One member of our four person group got her entree almost ten minutes after the rest of us. We also ordered two appetizers. One came out very quickly then we waited twenty minutes for the second. One entree came out wrong, and one was overcooked with tough chicken and overly soft vegetables. They did comp the incorrect entree, but overall, it was not a pleasant experience. Our server was really nice and none of the problems were her fault. We left her a good tip but we won’t go back for a long time.

We came to PF Chang’s for Happy Hour. When we asked the waitress for the happy hour menu, she claimed they don’t have happy hour. I showed her the website stating they did and then she went to get us a happy hour menu. We felt as though she was trying to trick us into using the regular menu. We ordered a few apps from happy hour menu and then a few entrees from the main menu. We ordered a bottle of wine and when it came out, the waitress complained that we ordered wine with a cork she had to open. Throughout our visit she had no personality and we could tell she didn’t want to be there. The food was delicious, but the service made us wish we had chosen somewhere else to eat.

Met two colleagues for lunch, an hour after the lunch rush. The restaurant was so noisy we had difficulty hearing each other at a small table. Service was terrible. The waiter was distracted, focused on a large table in his area, and our food was delayed. Waiter also tried to run the check through my credit card 4 times (!). This visit did not make me want to return.

Arrived right on time for reservation and was seated right away. Drinks took a little longer than usual. Appetizer and food were timed well. Refills on drinks not offered yet came fairly quick when requested. Overall good dinner experience.

Hostess did not look at us or smile. We ordered 2 appetizers - one came before the meal, but other came much later. We had to flag down servers to get water refilled. Restaurant staff seemed tense and unhappy and that clearly affected the service.

First let me say I am a foodie who enjoys all types of dining experiences and cuisine. Then let me say that I have been a server and am deeply appreciative of good service. It takes a team to provide a good dining experience. Our dining experience at PF Chang’s was poor from beginning to end. From the smug attitude when we walked in to the restaurant that made us feel like we were bothering the staff instead of checking in to the 10 minute wait we had at our table before we ever saw a waiter it was not a welcome environment. The host waved an iPad in my face and said they were not able to process reservations from Open Table. The restaurant was only 1/3 full yet he made me submit another reservation through their system. Once seated the evening did not improve. After 10 minutes one of our party went back to the host stand to ask why they had seated us and then failed to provide a server. When a server finally appeared there was no welcome, no apology for the wait and in fact no greeting. He then proceeded to completely mess up one of the orders leaving key ingredients and sauce out of a dish in which they were standard. Tables all around us had similar problems. The manager was apologetic to a point. I certainly don’t need groveling but I need to feel that the manager understands that I can spend my money anywhere for dinner and I’ve spent it here and I am very disappointed. She made sure the error with the order was corrected and that’s all. Even an offer of dessert or a bottle of wine would have made us all feel it was a bad night instead of a bad restaurant. We’ve been coming to this location since it opened and we will not return. Sadly this location gets a lot of out of town guests and I cringe at the impression of Indy they take away with them. I will be telling all my friends to avoid P.F. Chang’s and I won’t bring business clients here for a meal.

The food was good and the service for us was descent, the table next to us did not have the same experience when it came down to service. They were sat at the same time as we did, but i ended up getting there drinks for them at the bar. Once the manager came around, I had him get them menus and their order. We left before they got their food so not sure how it turned out.

We had reservations yet the hostess was seating people before us who were walk Ins. He sat 4-5 families (all the Same size party) who walked in after we had checked in for our resi. Was seated nearly 30 min after our reservation time. Waited at the table another 25 min and still no one came over and we finally left.
The restaurant had 75% empty tables and no service. Clearly they were short staffed. On our way out We asked and they told us they had 1 server for the whole large restaurant. We should have been told that as soon as we arrived. Poor service, poor communication, and we were just one family is a whole lobby full of really angry guests.

My daughter was back from college for the weekend (7 people total).

We waited over 2 hours to get food! Two cooks quit - our waiter said he quit - but was going to finish the night.

Food came after 2 hours. The manager refused to speak to us. They would not discount or help in anyway with the bill due to inconvenience.

Won’t go back to a PJ Chang’s - Especially downtown Indy.

We are PF Chang fans and rarely have bad food at this restaurant. However, if you are going to PF Changs in Indianapolis you should head to the North side (Keystone at the Crossing) and not downtown. The food and staff are much better at the north side location. It was clear that this location was grossly understaffed. Our server explained that there was ONE bartender responsible for drinks for the entire restaurant and the patrons sitting at the bar, which resulted in waiting more than 20 minutes for a BOTTLE of beer. I would not want to know what you would wait for one of their specialty cocktails! The Beef was way over cooked and the shrimp fried rice was not up to par, either. Much better service and food at Keystone!!

Our appetizers took 1.5 hours to come out - while our waitress kept the water full, she offered no explanation as to why the food took so long. When dinner came out, two of the dinners were cold and dry so they were sent back. They were not recooked; they came back in various stages of rewarmth and we were promised a discount. After 3 hours, we finally ended the meal (called it done). There were no discounts on the bill and we got out of there as soon as we could. Save yourself some issues and go to the Steak and Shake on the corner.

I usually have good experiences with P.F. Chang’s, but we’ve eaten at the Indy one a few times over the last year and not had the best of experiences. This visit, the floors were excessively slippery. We almost fell and I watched multiple servers also slip. I ordered a mojito but was told the bartender was not allowed to make it because it wasn’t in the menu. It took awhile to convince the waitress to even talk to the bartender but eventually they did bring the drink. I also ordered chicken lettuce wraps without mushrooms due to an allergy and it was brought to the table with mushrooms. I sent it back and was given the right dish. The waitress condemned the kitchen staff when a simple apology would have worked. When we were done, she said she was going to get the plates out of the way, took 2, then left the rest and never came back for the rest. Normally this stuff on its own wouldn’t bother me, but put it all together, and similar situations on other visits, means I will no longer dine at P.F. Chang’s in Indy.

There was a mix up on one of the sushi rolls we ordered & it came out late. It was extremely busy with GenCon. We were willing to wait so they made up for it by comping it off our bill.

I've enjoyed PF Changs for years but for the 1st time I was disappointed w my dinner. Ordered the surf & turf / filet & lobster and it was overcooked & dry lacking flavor. Appetizers & desert was good. Service was good & staff was attentive.

This is my 2nd time at this restaurant. Although the food is amazing, I always feel like the place is under staffed. We waited for 45 minutes before anyone ever came to our table to get our drink order. The manager did everything she could to 'make it up to us' ... which was kind, but please, get more staff!

My husband and I had been craving Chinese for awhile now so we decided to go after work Friday 7/12/19, since I work downtown. My husband Ubered down to my job and then we took off for P.F. Changs. We arrived about 10 minutes early to our reservation and was asked to wait- which was perfectly fine. We got sat down about 3 mins after our reservation time- again, still OK. We got sat down and immediately ordered our drinks and appetizer.

After waiting about 15 mins- we flagged our server (Larry) down to ask about our drinks. He kept saying "they are coming".... the bar was not busy AT ALL. About 5 mins later- our appetizer had arrived and we STILL had not received our drinks. Larry said he would go check on it again- and still NO drinks. We waited a total of 37 mins WITHOUT any beverages and was finished with the appetizer.

From previously being in the service industry for over 10 years- this is absolutely unacceptable. No manager ever came over, no apology, nothing. My husband never complains or gets upset- but even he wanted to leave. We let our server know that we wanted our check and we were leaving. We still had to pay for the appetizer- which I thought was ridiculous- but at that point- we just wanted to leave so we could actually go somewhere and eat.

All in all- the service was horrific. We paid to Uber downtown and paid to park- for NOTHING. Plus- we never got our Chinese food that we had been craving. Went home really bummed out.

Food was cold, food was served without silverware, never saw the waitress after the food was brought out. Served soup with a cheap plastic carry out spoon. NOT LIKE IT USED TO BE!!

Very long waits despite having made a reservation. On the day we visited this location it seemed like they had too few servers and cooks because our server had to warn us the food orders were taking half an hour even though half the restaurant was empty. They should be able to plan better around events at the convention center.

This used to be one of our favorite places. Unfortunately, it has gone downhill over the past few years. Our server was less than attentive and had no personality. The hostesses didn't seem like they knew what they were doing. The food was good, but definitely not the same quality as it used to be. The floor was in desperate need of sweeping, and the bathroom needed attention.

Was staying in downtown Indy for a conference so made reservation last minute around 6:45 for 7:15 because we were walking to P.F. Chang from our hotel and unsure of time needed to walk there. Arrived early at approximately 7:05 and told the host (who wasn’t especially friendly) that we had a reservation and we were early and didn’t mind waiting until 7:15 but just wanted to let him know we were there. He said we could be seated right away, which we were.
Our waitress Ashley was super friendly and did a great job with everything related to our service.
The food was really not very good overall. We have been to P.F. Chang’s many times over the years and never had food that was this poor tasting. I do have to say that the steamed shrimp dumplings appetizer was very good but the entree’s just had no flavor. I had the Buddha’s Feast for the first time so maybe this is just how this dish is, but I will never get it again. My husband had the orange chicken and he said the chicken tasted like it had been frozen and warmed up.
We did not complain because we really don’t like to be the kind of people who complain at restaurants. Plus we really liked our waitress Ashley, and the drinks and time spent together was priceless. But since you are asking about our experience I am sharing it with you in case the restaurant truly values the feedback.
We don’t want a credit or coupon or anything, just wanted to let the restaurant know that the food was not so great 6/22/19 and that after the early check in and telling the host we could wait if they weren’t ready for us, they proceeded to alert Open Table that we were “ no shows”..?! This was addressed and resolved but disappointed nonetheless that it happened.

Had an early dinner here. The staff is very friendly and prompt. The server was very attentive and kept our drinks full. Never disappointed on the quality of the food. This time is no different. Very delicious and will return!

Front door was rude. Had us waiting very long without an update even when we had a reservation. When asked several times they finally got us to a table and the server ignored us completely for 15min...so we left. They were busy, just handled it very poorly.
