P.F. Chang's - Durham
With roots in Chinese cooking, the culinary landscape at P.F. Chang’s now stretches across Asia with diverse, culturally inspired recipes including hand-rolled sushi, Vietnamese-style soups and bowls, traditional Chinese dim sum, wok-fired chicken and beef entrées, and family style noodles and rice. All made from scratch every day.
Our waiter, Tamir was amazing. Great experience from start to finish
Even though it was busy, good food at a reasonable price and outstanding service made for an enjoyable meal for our party of 6.
This was a very special dinner shared with my granddaughter after shopping for her birthday and Christmas presents. We both enjoyed our Tempura Calamari appetizer and our entrees - Crispy Honey Chicken and Miso Glazed Salmon. Our server was amazing and made my granddaughter's evening by providing endless glasses of Pomegranite Lemonade!
Mike was our waiter again and was superb as he’s been before. Clearly he lives the people interactions.
Most of their food is fried and has way too much sugar in it - not very healthy at all! Not sure if I will eat at PF Chang’s again.
The dinner plates were already on the table when we sat down. This is not such a good idea with Covid. The food was brought to our table in uncovered dishes which we then served into the plates. The uncovered dishes allowed the remaining food to cool. These two issues (exposed plates and cooling of food) should be addressed.
We turned up, having booked on Open table, to be told that OpenTable is not good at this location. Seated eventually.
We ordered but I am afraid that we only received 2 of the three main dishes. We asked and asked but the noodles just did not come.
We also tried to order sushi but were informed that the restaurant was having issues and this was off the menu.
Have been a regular at P F Changs when in town and have always been well satisfied. Initially made reservation for 7:45 and revised to 7 pm with multiple openings showing. Arrived at 7 and was told told that we would have to wait 1 hour. Very disappointed.
When I arrived (after receiving a confirmation email hours beforehand) I was told by the hostess that “open table wasn’t connected” and my reservation didn’t process. There was over an hour wait for non reservations. So frustrating. She ended up fitting us in after a 30 minute wait, but we really shouldn’t have had to wait at all so that got us off on the wrong foot. Once we ordered, food took 50 minutes and our poor server was very apologetic. The food was ok, not as good as I remember the last time we visited about 2-3 years ago. Overall, it was not a good experience and we won’t be going back anytime soon. Dinners out are a treat for us after spending a year cooped up. We’ll pick more wisely next time.
This used to be such a great casual restaurant. They'd come to your table and say, "How do you like your Chang sauce?" and then make it at the table. It was an experience. Now, they drag over to the table after ten minutes, no greeting, and say, "You want a drink?" The food is very average, the service below average, the experience is gone. I can't think of any reason to eat here again.
We’re sorry to see your experience wasn’t what we had hoped it would be! We’d love to hear about your visit, so we can get it right next time. Could you send us a private note with more information about your visit and your email address; our team will reach out to you? Thanks!
Food was great, as always. Toward the end of our meal, we placed an order to go and that took an extraordinary amount of time. Not sure if the kitchen was slow or server forgot to put the order in - no explanation or apology given.
We apologize for any inconvenience this caused! We'll be sure to share your feedback with our team.
Had a reservation at 7:45pm and I arrived 5 minutes early as party wasn't arriving until 8pm, but was not able to be eventually seated until 8:05pm. I ended up having to speak with a crew member to clear a table for me and my guest to sit at, but the hostess ended up giving it a larger party that arrived afterwards (the server had stepped away after informing the hostess the table was ready for us). The hostess ended up seating us nearby, but she threw the menus down on the table and walked away without any words or apologies. I also had called in advance and requested an accommodation from hostess (to have server bring a gift for party member's birthday) and was told this could be accommodated, I just had to bring the gift and leave with hostess in advance. This accommodation ended up not being accommodated as I had to remind the hostess to inform the server discreetly so as to not ruin the surprise, then our eventual server came to the table and mentioned the gift to the celebrating party member without actually bringing it. I had to go and get the gift from the hostess myself who somewhat dismissively handed it to me. Server also did not take our order well, having to repeat it back serveral times and forgetting items we had requested (water, napkins, additional sauce). Another server nearby had to provide us with these requests and though our server apologized and offered to accommodate us, they did not elaborate how they would (free food or drink items, amount taken off bill). Restaurant was not that packed and there were seats that were open but not allowing people to sit at them (there was a circular booth in the corner that I was told was being held for a larger group but everyone seated around it were in pairs and party of 3. Sushi was preparted against directions (sauce and crab removed).
Service was great, food was okay, in specific the Pekin duck as it was not as good as I thought it would be (dry, tortillas too thick).
Good food served hot and just the way we ordered it. Server Alex was excellent. Thoroughly enjoyable.
Great service by Michael Li. This is the second time he was our server and he provide excellent customer service.
Service was mediocre. Entrees we’re decent, but the apps were bad.
We made reservations for 7:45 only to get to the desk and be told we will have to wait for the tables to be cleaned…we waited 10 minutes. The food was hot (temp), came out quickly and the sever, just the right about of attentive.
Need more people bussing tables.
Wasn't crowded for a FRI lunch. I haven't been in this PF Changs in a few years, and its still clean, and staff was great, and not crowded. They were seating both inside and out. I had the edamame and lettuce wraps which were both great.
This is a favorite restaurant of my family. We had one of the best servers this time. She gave us great attention and extremely friendly. That makes a difference to us. The food was excellent as always. Great place to eat!
So delicious. Our waiter, Aaron, was top notch. Can't wIt to go back.
It was nice
It was very nice a lot of food
our waitress was excellent !
Thanks! We’ll share this with our team! Hope to see you soon!
Waitress was overwhelmed and actually told us when she first came by the table. We had to ask multiple times for drink refills, soy sauce. All food was delivered as ordered. Restaurant was not full by social distancing standards but servers must have been limited (however there were 3 ladies working the hostess stand). We will return but not the usual experience we’ve had over the years.
Celebrating a Birthday and PFChangs was the requested restaurant. Staff seemed a little annoyed at times.
This was our 1st dining out experience in over a year. We lived sitting on the patio feeling the air. Our server was great and paid attention to our dining pace. Well done!!
Servers were very polite and professional!
I went to P.F Chang’s for a birthday outing with my friends. The noise level was pretty quiet for a Sunday and the parking was immaculate. I was able to park at the front of the restaurant which is always awesome. The food was delicious and all of my guests enjoyed their time there.
Food was not what we usually receive at PF Chang’s. Noodles seemed like they had been sitting and the amount of chicken and shrimp was pitiful. My wife’s salmon salad was just iceberg lettuce with a grill flavor for the salmon and no other seasoning. Dressing tasted like Caesar. Very disappointed by the meal and we will not be back.
PF Changs is always a great experience.
Pleasant atmosphere and social distancing
Food and service very good. I felt a little bit uncomfortable trying to get to Hostess Stand
too many people seated and standing closely nearby all the time. Friendly, Great waiter and food was better than I remembered. I will return maybe not at 7:00 with a reservation. Manager stopped by to see how everything was going very nice.
Overall food/service was as expected. It was a bit disheartening though to see the cooks working with their masks down around their chins. One was even eating on the line while working.
Makes it difficult to trust the best practice and overall QA of P.F. Changs.
Unfortunately we were seated 20 minutes later then our reservation time. Our waiter was very nice, took a drink or and our appetizer order. Drinks arrived and we were told the appetizers would be out shortly. Few minutes later he came by and asked if we wanted to place our dinner order, which we did (appetizers still had not arrived) and he said he was going to check our our appetizers. About 5 minutes later our dinners arrived, and when I questioned the waiter (who was different then the waiter who took our order) what about the appetizers? He apologized and said he would check on them, we told him not to bother. We eat our dinner, the Manager did come over to apologize (that was it), and said that the kitchen was badly backed up. Food was good, and the night was like going out on Valentines Day, never judge a restaurant by Valentines Day - it’s almost never great.
Excellent food, atmosphere, and service!!!
When we arrived, we were informed that the restaurant had lost all reservations. Apparently someone turned the reservation system off. Still they were able to sit us within 10 min of our arrival, that was the highlight of the experience.
The number of GF options has been greatly reduced, and the ginger chicken/broccoli dish I ordered was almost devoid of flavor, so I will think twice about going again
Made reservations through OpenTable in advance because of Covid-19 and when we arrived, the restaurant didn't have our reservations. I showed them the confirmation email and text message I received, and they advised their system wasn't working with OpenTable at the moment. I asked the hostess how would we know they didn't get our reservations, and they said we would get the next available table. We waited over 20 minutes after several other tables were sat. Would never recommend using OpenTable with this restaurant if they won't accept online reserverations. They made us feel like we were at fault not calling them directly.
