Ok but not noteworthy-
We like that we can request for separate checks. Staff is very friendly.
Great food and excellent service. Nice outdoor patio for enjoying the San Diego weather!
Lovely meal, with gluten free catered for without any problems. The Wedding Soup is fabulous; I definitely need an invite to the wedding.
Next time in San Diego I’ll be back.
The meal was excellent and authentic Italian. While the restaurant is just a block away from the Little Italy mayhem, the restaurant made for a great, quiet evening of wonderful food and conversation. The wine was quite good (I had a Pinot Noir).
El pastel de chcoclate y el cheese cake deliciosos!!
Hidden gem in Little Italy, food was authentic and exceptionally prepared, service was top notch and we will be coming back soon with other friends.
Visiting from Boston, loved our dinner at Petrini's. All the meals were good and especially appreciated all the wonderful gluten free options! It was a fun neighborhood to wander around in after dinner, still hopping at 10 pm!
Lack of staff and food takes a long time to serve. Staff are not friendly too.
Very polite and helpful staff. Food was very nice.
Every time that I was there was deli deli!
My mom was visiting from out of town and wanted Italian food. This place had the best lasagna she’s ever had. Food was delicious!
We liked very much the experience in Petrini.
We were a very big group and they manage to serve us with the best service.
Food was very good and we spent a great evening.
I do recommend very much the place.
I love the relaxed feel of this place. Very spacious. Felt like we were in our own little world. Loved that they offer lunch portions all day and you can choose what type of noodle you'd like. The bruschetta was ridiculously outstanding - so fresh and satisfying. Vegetarian options a-plenty! The mushroom olive oil pasta was amazing. Service was attentive and friendly, wines were affordable. We even had leftovers.
Food was delicious. Service friendly and attentive. Special drinks for kids and a kids menu but good place for adults without children present. We were there on a quiet night.
Nice find at the bottom of Little Italy.
Not much from the outside, quaint indoors, seated promptly on a Friday night, food was excellent from appetizers to entrees.
Nice decor, very attentive and friendly waiter. We weren't rushed. Food and drinks good. Prices reasonable.
Food was disappointing. There were 4 in our group and every person said the dinners were average at best. And, it is pretty expensive.
Petrini's was fine for the occasion. We were heading to an art exhibit and needed a quick bite within walking distance. The restaurant was comfortable, service was good but the food was only ok. Definitely nothing special and a bit expensive. Overall, a welcoming staff and easy to get in and out for a quick dinner...just don't expect to be blown away.
Had a delicious meal!! Server was awesome.
We had a great experience largely in part to our server Lisa. The food was great but the service was awesome.
We went to Petrini’s after finding out that they offer gluten free options and we were not disappointed. My daughter and husband both have celiac disease. Our server was very knowledgeable and offered many options including the soup and salad which were gluten free. My daughter had a gluten free pizza and husband had pasta primavera with gluten free penne. Both were delicious. My other daughter and I both enjoyed regular pasta dishes. I had the chicken piccata and she had buttered spaghetti. If you are gluten free Petrini’s should not be missed. It has something delicious for everyone.
I was there at an off hour, lunch of Friday of Memorial Day weekend. There were few others in the restaurant. What it’s like when it’s full, I cannot say, but the food and service were more than satisfactory.
I'm in the middle on recommending Petrini's. We were a group of 3 with 5 other people in the restaurant. I had to remind them to bring the the soup and salad out, after the waiter assured us when ordering it would be right out. The waiter got my wife's order wrong, and then said "the kitchen will make it quickly", and they did. It was not good and cold. Maybe we caught it on an off night - we will try one more time.
Waitress was a little overwhelmed as she was the only server available on an unexpectedly busy Tuesday night. But she did great. Food was solid.
Came here to celebrate our son’s 21st Birthday. Everyone was hospitable & accommodating. Our waitress - was Amazing! The food was delicious! The ambiance perfect! Wonderful, cozy atmosphere. We’ll be back!
My friends and I loved this place. Food, desserts, costumer service everything was A+. We visited and had a great time. We were a big group of friends and I had the chance of trying most of the meals from the table, I really like all of them! The owners were present and greeted each of my friends, we liked that personal touch.
This place was nice about my last minute reservation change to push it back 15minutes due to my miscalculation of how long my Lyft would take to get to where I was staying. However once at the restaurant we sat at the bar (otherwise would’ve been standing around, with multiple empty tables) and were never asked I we wanted water or a menu or a drink. (WHY WOULD YOU NOT WANT TO INCREASE REVENUE BY OFFERING COCKTAILS?!) After 15minutes we finally asked for a menu and ordered drinks while waiting. When we were finally asked if we wanted to sit at a table, service was really slow. Server was very nice but never brought the app I ordered and I got charged for it. Food was okay, nothing outstanding.
This was my first experience at Petrini's; but it will not be my last. The food and atmosphere was great. The pasta was awesome. Everyone in my party really enjoyed their meal. We will definitely return.
Petrini's was an absolutely outstanding experience. The food was well above par, and better than most restaurants, especially for the price range. They even accommodated for our group of 8!
Much quieter restaurant since it's a block away from central Little Italy, but still great food and great service. Easier to get a reservation also. Tomato Soup yummy, thin crust pizza very good too! We ordered 3 pasta dishes, bruschetta, and a few other appetizers, and all were very good. Had leftovers too.
The experience was fantastic. The food and ambience was just perfect!
The food was just ok—average Italian. The server accidentally dumped ice water on my daughter (she had to go home and change) and no type of compensation was given. The restaurant atmosphere was nice and ronantic but there are a number of other options in the area. I would not go again.
Service was subpar. We waited 20 minutes for waters.
Wonderful evening, great food, highly recommend.
Kristina gave us friendly and attentive service. Food was delicious.
Pleasant atmosphere. Attentive service, but not overbearing. Good food.
Very average experience. The food was ok, but why go here when you can walk 3 blocks to Little Italy and have more authentic Italian food. We left disappointed. On the upside, the wine selection was very good and well priced.
