The food and atmosphere was great! Very friendly staff!
Great food, great service! We will go back to eat again!
The food was okay...the fettuccini Alfredo did it taste good. The bread they provide was not fresh. The service was great though.
Wed half price wine!
Went for dinner. Excellent service but food was just ok. The garlic bread is just fried sliced bread. The pasta was average.
We had a wonderful time dining at Petrini’s. Our server Lisa was prompt, knowledgeable, attentive and professional. Our food arrived quickly and as described and was delicious. We had a very nice time celebrating and will absolutely be back. Thank you again!
Service was great. Food was great. The next table was a little too close to ours - not six feet apart. Other than that it was great!
The chicken piccata was amazing! Prices were reasonable and the food was very high quality. Our server was great fun for a girls night out. I will be bringing my husband here for date night next time I visit.
Due to pandemic, largely had the place to myself. Receptionist-waitress had helpful insights on the fare, which included a marvelous Caesar Salad with light flaky parmesan atop a delightful creamy dressing.
The food was great and the service was remarkable as well. Def would eat again
Shrimp Diablo is a must. The Tuscan shrimp pasta was good but not as good as shrimp scampi. Sangria is delicious too.
Great food and service. Went there for our anniversary and definitely would return! The waitress and the new guy were on top of things and made our experience very comfortable.
Food and service were great! Heater shut off and some of our guests did get a little annoyed that it wasn’t turned back on or switched out. But that kind of signaled us to be on our way, it was getting to be around 10pm anyway. Would definitely go there again.
Good was just okay, service was okay, ambiance was alright.. just nothing special.
Delicious Italian pasta! Definitely satisfied our craving! Went with my girlfriends and had a great night! We ordered the Montepulciano wine bottle and loved it! We’ll definitely be back!
Service was pretty poor with large amounts of waiting around for a table. The bread they gave us was just white sliced bread from a grocery store which is poor. They also ran out of tomato sauce, how does that happen to an Italian restaurant?! Just overall quite an unprofessional restaurant despite a nice design. They need to update their menu and improve their service and the waiter's attitude and attentiveness towards guests. People want to feel like they are getting a taste of Italy in an Italian restaurant and this is not the case at Petrini's.
We had great drinks, great apps, a great seat and service! We will def be back!
Very delicious food! The service was really good! Only thing I would want more of is heaters since it was cold out and multiple tables needed them. This also caused the food to get cold faster
Considering they had just reopened for outside dining only after being closed due to COVID, the food was quite good, service was very good (a feat, since they have a longer distance to cover to get outside), and the value was outstanding. Go now if you don't mind a little street noise. We will definitely go back, and look forward to having a more "normal" dining experience soon!
The food feels homemade. I have eaten here before and enjoy it every time. There are many new and trendy places in San Diego but this place keeps up with the times while maintaining an old school, homey dining experience.
Our family had a fabulous evening at Petrini's! We sat outside with heaters and thoroughly enjoyed the food and experience.
Really nice place away from the crowds, and still in Little Italy. The service is good, and attentive. The wine selection is nice, and the food is excellent. We live close by so it is always nice to go here, even during Covid.
Great food and the staff knew exactly what to recommend.
The server was top notch. Appreciated her recommendations. She was the only female server on the Saturday before the lockdown. Please say thank you to her for us.
The wait staff were professional, friendly and wore masks:). The food was very good and sitting on the outside patio was a fun environment.
This place was great! The food was delicious as well! They had the best dinner menu at this place we will come back! We brought our children and they had fun and the place accommodates families big plus for me.
Great food and a great place with great staff. Only reason I didn't give all stars was because they only had one server working. She was outstanding, but still a pretty big job to only have one person working.
Very nice and beautifully lit at night ! Great service and pretty fast everything was good quality and tasted delicious. Will visit again when I’m in town.
Overall mainly extremely slow service!! Staff was nice enough but took 30 minutes to take our order and another 30 minutes to get the appetizer then almost an hour after that for he meal. Food came out rushed and quality was low. They did give us 25% off but only the food. With only 2 glasses of wine $50.00 slow mediocre food.
Good food good atmosphere .. I’m a fan of the cannolis ..
This was absolutely the worst Italian food we have ever had! I should have known when we got there at 7 pm and there was only 1 table being used. It is not near all the cute restaurants in little Italy and that was another drawback. Extremely disappointed since I did so much research to find the best Italian restaurant and thought this was the one, it actually was the worst!
the food was awful and my order was messed up, by the time the waiter came over to check on us we were ready to leave! horrible experience wouldn’t recommend!!!
This was our first time at Petrini's, but we will definitely eat there again. They serve standard Italian fare, but each dish was well prepared and delicious. We had a mini pizza, the puttanesca, creamy shrimp pasta and chicken marsala. All were great. The waiter was attentive and helpful, and was very COVID careful. We ate outside on the sidewalk, so the ambience and noise ratings are unique to our times. Glad we tried Petrini's.
A nice out of the way Italian Restaurant with excellent food and service in Little Italy. Parking was only $5 in a downtown location. Can't beat that!
Nice patio. Pleasant server
Excelente servicio, comida y lugar!
The pizza crust is definitely different than other pizza crusts I’ve had. It had the texture of a cracker.
For the gnocchi, it was soaking in oil and butter, and left a greasy taste in the mouth.
The wine selections were fine, especially at half off.
The service people were very kind and helpful, and the ambiance was fine.
Server was great and food was delicious! I would come back here again
