   The avocado toast and eggs Benedict were delicious. The service was disappointing, with the kitchen employee almost upending a glass of orange juice on my husband’s lap, then our server dropping utensils while trying to carry too many things at once. Not the atmosphere we were expecting.

   It used to be an intimate setting for dinner and Jazz. It is now noisy and crowded. So you can't enjoy the music. Too bad!

   First time to this jazz bar and restaurant in Kanata. We were expecting a velvety atmosphere but despite the very nice band and the friendly staff, it still has this hotel chain feeling. There aren't that many tables and the bar is huge. There is a glass wall that separates from the hotel main hall which gives a strange perspective to the space. We also feel there shouldn't be big screens in a Jazz bar. It gives too much the sports bar vibe. The drinks though are absolutely perfect! We choose the table d'hôte at the restaurant. The first course had too much balsamic vinegar which killed the other flavours that would have been delicious otherwise. The main course was the lamb shank and very smooth, all the flavours came to their right. The dessert was the cherry chocolate cheesecake and very surprising. Definitely recommend that one. Overall a good experience!

   The musicians were LOUD. This is a classy place and not a rock hall. Many of us go there for date night to enjoy nice jazz music and talk...not to get our ears blasted.

    Overall, the food and service was fantastic! The only issue I had was that I asked for a crème brûlée with a candle in it for my wife for our anniversary when I made a reservation online and we didn’t get it.
