The pumps for the lager needed changing, therefor my husband had to choose a different drink than what he started drinking which the barstaff had to go get from the other bar. Also, there was no brushcetta due to no onions, my husband then ordered a dish to be told they also did not have this option. He was very impressed with how his steak was cooked.

We waited 45 minutes for our starters. I struggled to find the mozzarella in my tomato and mozzarella starter. The spaghetti bolognese came out cold and my daughter’s pizza had an hair in it! It totally ruined my birthday unfortunately

1 star is a compliment to this place. Where do I start, when we arrived we were stood at the entrance for 15 minutes before a member of staff came into the restaurant a d that was only to bring food to the only other table on there. When she eventually came over she said sit anywhere so we wemt and sat down and she went over to the bar where another member of staff was talking to her for about 5-10 minutes. We had no menus or drinks menus amd no one had come over, then the 2 staff just walk into the back kitchen after about 10 minutes, so we just stood up and left. The other table in there stated as we walked out “they’re shocking in here”. Even the manager, when we went to reception to let them know how shocking it was, was no help just kinda stared at me as I was telling him and said sorry. Never In my life have I or my partner received such awful service (both work in restaurants ourselves). With it being valentines night at 7.30pm we thought the night was ruined as we had to try get a table in Manchester somewhere, we stayed at the hotel too which was alright but we will definitely never be coming back to either of these places again.

Was disappointed as there was only one waiter and had to keep putting my hand up for service and to have our plates taken away.

The food was lovely and didn’t wait long, Nicole was our server and she was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely go again.

Lovely Sunday dinner need to change the selection of starters though. Maybe add mushrooms or prawn starter as whitebait isn’t for everyone! Will definitely return x

I highly recommend a visit to the restaurant at Smokies Park Hotel. The food is first class. I believe that the Sunday Lunch was very good value.
