Perry's Steakhouse & Grille - Memorial City
Book your next event with us
Your restaurant has become my wife’s favorite. You’re wonderful attention to detail and service makes us want to come back. I’m on the keto diet and your servers are all well-versed and help me with my choices from the menu. We will be back soon and often. Thanks for the great service.
On this visit, I did not have the most pleasant experience with the hostess or our waitress.
Great food and service! The atmosphere was vibrant and fun! Thanks for a nice evening!
The food was delicious, as always. I tried the pork chop bites for the first time and they exceeded my expectation. The Caesar salad is my favorite.
Service was exception also.
I had the Perry’s famous pork chop and it was the best pork chop I’ve ever had by far!
Despite confirming my reservation multiple times when 4 of our party of 10 arrived on time, we were advised we would not be seated until a majority of our party had arrived. Eventually, we were escorted to our table which was some sort of banquet arrangement which made it impossible to converse with anyone other than those
on either side. The waiter rushed to the table to pour water and then disappeared. Eventually he returned, took some drink orders and again disappeared. After approximately 30 minutes we had all received drinks. Delays in taking orders persisted, the food was mediocre and the prices were unreasonable. Paying 40 to 75 dollars for piece of meat, another 10 dollars for any side and ten dollars for a spoonful of sauce for the meat is ridiculous. Perry’s has certainly changed since the last time we visited and we certainly won’t go back.
My second visit to this location. I was pleasantly surprised the manager was able to see comments I made on my last visit and stopped by my table to chat with me regarding those comments. My server was very friendly, attentive and his timing with everything was absolutely perfect! We ordered the Surf & Turf and the Pork Chop. Both were cooked to perfection. The chops were succulent and nicely candied around the exterior of the meat. The temperature of the food was exactly what I expected it to be and every bite was delicious. Bananas Foster was prepared for us table side and each bite of it took me back to a famous New Orleans steakhouse where the dish is said to originate.
Couldn't ask for anything more. Everything about this experience was amazing, except watching the San Francisco 49ers win against the Vikings while I was in the bathroom, admittedly taking a longer than normal break from my early dinner companion to see who was winning the game. Thank you Perry's Memorial City!
Always great food service and waiters
The food and service was excellent!! We had a little problem with our reservation by making it through open table since we were a larger table of 6. Apparently they had several large tables and 3 private parties in the back so the hostess was hesitant to seat us and overload the wait staff or kitchen. I think Perry's should not have accepted our reservation if they could not accommodate us. The place is always packed we will return. Any steak you get is going to be perfect. I also love their kale mint salad. Our server was amazing. He more than made up for the reservation issue.
Food was good
Service was average
Hated the ending of meal while still eating our desert an electronic tablet was brought to the table for us to complete the transaction. It worked poorly and ruined the evening for me. If I new they were under staffed to the point they wanted me to complete this process I would gone somewhere else. I guess spending several hundred dollars on a meal has a new meaning
The staff was very helpful iwith our keto diet. On more than one occasion our server consulted with the chef to make sure that we knew what we were consuming. This personal service is something you don’t find everywhere and is much valued.
Great dining and beautiful restaurant
Nice service, excellent environment
Very disappointed that Perry's started to use a "do it yourself" electronic payment. What is the point of being "waited on" if we have to do the payment work on our own? We will not be returning and are loyal customers because we like the "old fashion" feel of the notion of "restaurant service." Additionally, the price for the NYE menu was not listed on the menu? We have no idea if we paid the right amount or were overcharged. Please contact me to discuss - Maria Peters, 9611 Carousel Ln Houston 77080, #713-412-6646...Thank You for listening to my feedback.
In years past, our rating was always EXCELLENT. For some reason, the Memorial location was not properly staffed for New Year's Eve this year. We dine at Perry's for special occasions and were there for Thanksgiving and the experience was great ! New Year's Eve 2019 was not up to your standards this year. In years past, we've always enjoyed our dining experience and choose Perry's as our Go To Restaurant for taking guests and celebrate events.
The bar was understaffed and served drinks very slowly and left olives out of a martini, twist off of a Cosmo and failed to serve a gin & tonic with lime, without the lime! Our dinner was great for three of our party who ordered steak but the fish dish was dry and needed butter. The most disturbing was the valet parking. We each used the app for getting our vehicles and waited outside for quite sometime while others got their vehicles who didn't use the app. Finally after checking at the valet station, our vehicles were brought to the front. On Thanksgiving, the valet parking was great. We always prefer valet to self parking, however, this last experience makes us question that preference.
We have enjoyed Perry's for so many years, I'm sure we'll chance another visit to see if there have been improvements but question if we need to find a new location for our New Year's Eve Celebrations that may be better prepared for the guests with reservations.
Delicious food. The desserts could have been better. The decor in some of the rooms could have been nicer. Felt like I was in a hotel conference room.
I'd recommend Perry's for regular lunches and dinners, but not special occasions. My NYE dinner was not as expected. The wait for our order was way too long. My appetizer was so spicy-hot that I could not have it. My filet was not cooked as I asked for. At $266 for two, I would expect a much better experience.
NYE - great food! Wonderful service!
New years Eve dinner was not a good experience. My Manhattan came without the usual special cherries. bad start. Could not order a baked potato, so settled for the packaged mashed type. Filet was excellent and her salmon was perfect. Original Waiter arrived back just after main course arrived and never returned. Told another waiter we were done after just sitting there for an extended period. He cleared our table and brought back our "to go" bag. Our original waiter returned saying he was very busy that night. Service was inadequate.
Food and service were outstanding. Best pork chop I have ever had!
Everything really was absolutely wonderful. . . but the choice of music y'all play is awful! NOT relaxing, romantic or pleasant to listen to.
Perry’s Friday Pork chop lunch is affordable luxury at it’s beat!
James and his team always do an excellent job. The food is amazing and pork chop Friday is not to be missed!
Great Christmas Eve family dinner
first time to the new perry's at memorial city, beautiful place, the pork chop which I have not had in over 18 years was outstanding cooked to perfection. Attentive service for a very busy Christmas eve dinner.
Our server was not very pleasant from the beginning however it
Was Christmas Eve and very busy.
We had appetizers, salad main course and dessert. My brother in law ordered a bone in filet. The filet was nowhere close to the 8 ounces that was requested and very under cooked. Brought this to the waiters attention and he snipped about the steak and the manner in which it was cooked. Talked to the manager and he Immediately remedied the situation. Very pleased how he stepped up.
The rest of the meal was great!
Our experience was horrible start to finish. Did not get the booth table I requested through open table. Then they sat us between two large tables. Took 30 minutes to get a drink. No one would wait on us. My husband ordered the bone in fillet which is a $60+ steak. After waiting another 40 minutes they brought him the wrong steak. The waiter could have cared less. Just horrible all around. Will not be back nor would I ever recommend this place. For the prices they charge there should be better service and food.
Christmas Eve— very good food and service. I’m allergic to garlic and I would like more of the entrees and sides to be garlic free. I was very limited to what I could choose. The Rocky Road Bread Pudding that we had for dessert was excellent. Also we really loved the bread.
The food was good. But the service was lacking. Our server wasn’t very helpful in answering questions when ordering and he disappeared about half way through our meal. So we waited for awhile for him to reappear with our check. Maybe they were short handed and he was doing the best he could. But the service was below average.
We had a several of the dishes. The pork chop was superb as always, the salmon was delicious as well as the steak. We had the stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer. We couldn't resist desert, so we took it to go!
My birthday dinner was excellent. Terrance was an awesome server.
We were seated at a dirty table...my $50+ steak was overcooked and my dinner companion has finished eating by the time my correctly cooked steak was delivered to the table...however, they did comp me a dessert and ultimately comped by steak...
Excellent! Top notch in every category! From Valet to Check, great experience.
Crowded during Friday lunch - my first visit here. Ambience is good, but surprised the dining table had no decoration - not even a single vase flower. Service was slow and inattentive, perhaps because there were many customers? Food was good but my adult son's portion was smaller and had less glaze to the point of being quite dry for a specialty pork chop. We were surprised.
The Friday Pork chop special is really wonderful.
The wait was a bit longer than expected, but once at the table , our Ross was very attentive, food was served quickly and was delicious.
Everything was good except the front of the house. I’d forgotten just how poorly reservations are handled (arrived 15min prior to reservation and not seated until 20min after, for a 35min wait)
My friends and I often go to Perry’s for pork chop Fridays. We’ve been the last 2 weeks and the experiences have been much worse than normal. The wait time, even with a reservation, was almost 30 minutes. We weren’t offered bread and the waitress never checked on us. The chop was much fattier than what I’ve had in the past. I understand that they’ve been busier than normal due to the holidays, but that’s no excuse - staff up!
