Sad to see this was the last service but it was a great one.
Outstanding in every respect.
Really a shame that this establishment is going away.
Hope we will find Chef Patrick, and this crew, somewhere else together in Portland soon❗️❗️
Delicious food, wonderful staff and a beautiful restaurant.
Good drinks. The dessert was okay. The creme brulee should have been in a deeper dish to keep the creme cool when the topping is fired to get crisp.
Our dinner was terrific. Sadly, Perlot closed its doors for good two days later.
Excellent across the board! Nice neighborhood feel with great food and people.
Our third trip here was as amazing as before. This group knows how to make you feel like family and feed you well. Hats off to Chef Patrick and his creations, Rob for the awesome deserts and Casey for pulling it all together. I know we will see you again.
Overall excellent, but we were seated near window on street rather than in the lovely back room with a fireplace and music (we were a group of 7). Food was also excellent - creamy grits, fluffy waffle, buttery biscuits... only lack was insufficient crab in the crab Benedict. I’d definitely go back but would request back room, which had a jazz duo and much more ambience. Service was attentive and efficient.
Fantastic restaurant to hear high-quality jazz performances .
Unfortunately there are too many people that do not understand the etiquette when listening to live music performances and make far too much noise .
We were seated quickly. I felt the host wasn't as good as he could have been. Sure, it's the thing that matters the least but it is the first experience you'll have with a restaurant. A great host can set the expectations for the night. In this case, it was just average.
Our waiter was great. Except for the drink they didn't have, he was courteous, pleasant and pro-active. We never ran out of water, he wasn't intruding....he did a great job.
The appetizers were fantastic. We ordered the quall egg and the Winter Plate. It looked amazing, it tasted even better.
Our entrees were the risotto and the ravioli. The ravioli was delicious. Personally I felt the rice for my risotto was a little too hard, but the taste was very good.
I would recommend this place to anyone.
Another wonderful dining experience!!!
We were traveling from out of town and this was our last stop before the airport. We took a few busses and the max to get here and had high hopes. We came at a great time because there were only a few other people around and it was quiet. We ordered our food with 1 hour to spare before our bus would come again. The fries with the secret sauce were delicious and the winter vegetable plate was not worth the price and I don’t think I even got a serving of vegetables. We waited over a half an hour for our food, no one came to check on us. Finally, we asked for the check and to cancel the orders that never made it to us because we had 5 min to catch our bus. I’m not exactly sure what happened, the waiter apologized and even gave us what we ate for free. We will come to Portland again, but this place may not get a second chance from us!
Fantastic restaurant, great food, service and ambience. Live music in lounge is perfect!
I had such a great experience at Perlot. From the time I walked in I was treated like an old friend. Service was warm and professional. The food was amazing. I had housemade ravioli with a side of their amazing brussel sprouts. For dessert I treated myself to a persimmons pudding, I'm still thinking about that dessert, I might have to go back just for that. Thank you Perlot for a great experience
Brunch, live jazz, no lines, children’s menu. Yes, please!!
Our second visit here was even better than the first. The staff were very warm and friendly stopping often at our seats to converse giving a family-like feeling. Of course our meals were well prepared and tasty too. We sat at the counter to watch the exec and pastry chefs work... its amazing to watch the creations and get to interact with them. If you want a nice neighborhood gem for an experience try this place.
Service was great and food was amazing. Jazz with dinner was a delight. We can't wait to go back!
I went there for the jazz group with Andrew Silva on piano, etc. There were fabulous. I didn't eat because I was fasting from Thanksgiving dinner, but everything looked good around me. I will be back when I want a good dinner.
Great happy hour! The burger is juicy and delicious. The Dirty Fries (with brisket or pork belly, and cheese sauce) and fried brussels sprouts are addictive. Awesome cocktails!
Excellent flavors and value
We sat at the far left of the counter, near where Chef Patrick was expediting. It was, amazing. Speaking with the cooks and front of the house in a very casual way...reminded me of my time (though short) working in the trenches. I will go back there in a heartbeat. Value....I cannot state this any better, was unbelievable! We did go during the last 30 minutes of Happy Hour, but with 3 sides, two entrees, two desserts and 3 drinks...no where have I gone where that was a C note. Truly, this was a perfect dinner for foodie. I even got info on Chef Adria’s upcoming visit!! At any rate, it was a great night. Thank you, everyone.
Was an immediate fab...you had me at the grand fireplace and the great steak.
Food was pretty bad. Eggs Benedict was cold, and potatoes just tasted awful. The two guys playing jazz seemed nice, but a keyboard and bass wasn’t really enough to sound good - was more like noise (we came for the live jazz). There’s no excuse to have bad food in Portland. Unless it’s really, really cheap.
It was awesome, as usual. Patrick’s food is delicious!
Perlot has a lot going for it, but it needs serious tightening up. We reserved a table for 5 for dinner and we were seated right next to the (very good) jazz trio. So much for conversation! Why not seat us in the rear and allow jazz fans a close up seat, or ask us if we would like to be seated next to the band? Drinks were stellar but the food was a mixed bag. Salads were terrific, entrees not so much. Al dente risotto and ravioli were a bit too tough, not firm and the $15 serving of mussels was a bit small for the price, though the broth was quite tasty. The brisket sandwich was the hit but seemed more lunch than dinner. Service was polite but inconsistent, with a long gap between salads and entrees. Would I return? Probably just for happy hour and drinks, but not for a full dinner.
Great service! Great food! Great time!
Awesome to have dinner with live jazz in the background! Service was very attentive, and the space itself is wonderful: high ceilings, roaring fire, garage doors that let in lots of natural light, and a sort of cool industrial vibe. Food was solid, but not great. We tried the carpaccio, brussels sprouts, scallops, halibut, crab risotto and pork chop. Everything was pretty good, but nothing was great, and the prices were pretty high for Portland.
Our visit was an impromptu decision, and we were not disappointed. Our waiter was attentive and accommodating, and his wine recommendations were spot-on. We did not feel rushed & engaged with occasional conversation with others in the restaurant. We would not hesitate to come back to this "neighborhood haunt" to check out the lounge for some weekend jazz & a full order of those oysters!
Outstanding flavors, colors, textures, creative, well-presented meals with a seasonal food focus; friendly, efficient and knowledgeable staff including their sommelier. All of this works together to make this our regular "go to" Portland restaurant when we want a sophisticated, comfort food experience.
First time here and it was very good all around. We were promptly seated at our 6 pm reservation time in the dining area (front of the restaurant). The staff was friendly, timely and helpful. Our dinner was well prepared and a delight to eat. The lounge in the back can get a bit noisy later on when the jazz music begins but its not bad in the dining room.
Wow, this is a great place for good food, quiet conversation, terrific cocktails, nice atmosphere
NO LINES!! (recent re-launch with new name so guessing it’s too new to be over-run yet...) Beautiful food, prepared properly, personable service.
They welcome children but the food is worthy of adults. The french toast is only $6. Want two eggs on the side? Just $2!
We had steak & eggs + a Benedict with crab. They griddle-toast the english muffin so it stays crisp even for slow eaters. Bloody Mary has enough kick for a brunch buzz even if you only order one.
Loved it; can’t wait to go back and bring others with us. (We got lucky with an Open Table gamble when Gravy on Sandy was packed. Thank you, Open Table, for helping us discover a place worthy of taking our out of town visitors.
Takes reservations. Nice back bar for drinks. Had brunch here. Food was ok. Dinner looks nice. Friend says it’s usually hard to get in for dinner. Staff was helpful and nice! Food was ok.
We’re from TX & came here based on a recommendation by a food blogger. It’s a cute restaurant with great food & service. Every dish was delicious! We sat in the bar/lounge area so we could enjoy the live jazz band as we ate dinner. I would highly recommend Perlot!
This restaurant looks unassuming from the outside, but the food was AMAZING !!! Service was very professional and attentive. They had great and creative dishes, some with a flair of Asian fusion cuisine, probably because the chef trained in a French kitchen. I/we would definitely return !!!
This is a fantastic little restaurant we're glad we discovered. You can tell when the food arrives that someone took extreme care with it and thought about all the flavors at length. Cocktails are great, too, and the service is impeccable. We'll be returning here often.
This was my second visit to Perlot. I’ll keep coming back for the exceptional service and delicious food! Both times I’ve gone with the 5 course tasting menu-it’s the only way to go! I’m gluten free and the chef accommodates and I don’t feel like I’m missing out. Love the fresh produce and how the menu changes to reflect the seasons.
Delicious food and drinks. The atmosphere is wonderful, warm and comfortable.
Food was great but portions small. Prices a little high. Very trendy, good ambiance. Our server was nice but not super attentive on filling our coffee and iced tea.
We came here for my birthday last night (4 adults, 2 children) and had a thoroughly enjoyable time. Great food, attentive and professional staff, very nicely done interior, and very good acoustics (which is important to me as I am hearing impaired; many Portland restaurants are too noisy).
