Throughout our entire dinner. there were four children running around our table playing tag while their parents sat on the opposite side of the patio. When asked to have them stop, the staff did not do anything. We really should not have even had to ask.
Good afternoon- Thank you for joining us at Perla's on Monday evening. I hope that you enjoyed the food, beverage, and service. I want to apologize for the lack of response from our staff in regards to the kids around your table. This has been addressed to prevent further instances. I do hope you join us again in the future so we can show you our true Texas hospitality. Please do not hesitate to reach out directly should you join again in the future. Kind regards, Erin Maley General Manager
I get all the positive reviews, this place is really great!
A bit overpriced for portion size. Especially dessert. Food wasn’t all that great. I’d return for drinks but not for dining. Also, menu variation from lunch to “in “ to dinner is a bit of a joke. Silly, really. If it’s on the lunch menu it’s not available at “in between” hours. Same for dinner. You can’t have a dessert from the “in between” menu during dinner hours. Wha?
This place is world class for Sea Food!
It’s my first time dining here.
Everything from the moment you step on the stairs climbing up to the front terrace and into the restaurant, The ambience is incredible!
Food is fresh, exquisite taste & diverse menu.
The one complaint and a surprise is the chairs are very uncomfortable and for $100 plate this should be resolved and quickly.
The place is on the expensive side I would say that the value is good however I think the correct pricing should’ve been $80 a plate versus 100.
Overall exquisite and fantastic restaurant I would definitely be back and certainly recommend it.
All in all 9/10 👏
Great restaurant! service and food are impeccable
We don’t live in Austin but Perla’s is always one of favorites
to dine at when visiting.
Delicious! The tuna tartar was fresh. We also had the steak and eggs benedict. I think the plates were licked clean. Our favorite, though, was the Yacht Rock drink.
Outstanding menu to select from. The oysters were some of the very best we’ve had. Like Clark’s. We had fish and shrimp ceviche, halibut and branzino entrees. Also, some grits with king crab and fried okra. Everything was delicious.
We’ll be back.
My bestie and I had a lovely leisurely lunch at Perlas. We enjoyed it very much. The food was pricey but fresh and delicious. Natalie did an outstanding job as our server.
I want to Sunday Brunch and the food was delicious. I love the place, it’s nice and refreshing as well as the whole stadd.
It's pretty high end, so it's gonna be pretty expensive either way, but I really liked it! I got the biggest and one of the highest quality beers I've ever had. My girlfriend got an ahi tuna that was incredibly juicy and perfectly cooked, and I got a Texas Redfish that was pretty good, too! The redfish is supposed to come with tartar, but they also gave me salsa verde, which was not bad! The only thing I would knock is that the seat selection wasn't the best - I made a reservation beforehand, and they put us next to the server bar when there was a table available right next to the window. Other than that, I'd definitely recommend them! I'll be going back there again (maybe even for Valentine's Day).
The food was excellent as always and the service was great. We love sitting on the patio on. Ice evenings.
Excellent seafood in a great setting with fantastic service! We will definitely be back!
Great, good food, nice atmosphere
Jaime provided excellent service. Gave terrific suggestions & was patient without our questions. Our first experience at Perla & it won’t be our last. We look forward to dining again & we hope Jaime will be our server!
Fresh oysters, refreshing cocktails, absolutely recommend sitting on the gorgeous patio!
Best oysters in Town ! We were there for the snack bar menu ,so did not have the chance to try full menu , but the appetizers selection and variety was exceptional
Wonderful restaurant, wonderful atmosphere. Always a joy.
Andrew was the perfect server
Sat outside with my dog
Nice staff and service
This might be my favorite restaurant. The food is great and the outdoor patio is an awesome setting, right off of S. Congress. It's not cheap but it's well worth the price, especially for a special occasion. I highly recommend to anyone in Austin if you are looking for seafood or just a great experience.
Great food and atmosphere . We will be back soon.
Very good ceviche with shrimp, fish, avocado, and peppers. Fried shrimp was excellent with five jumbo shrimp in a light breading, so not too greasy. Unfortunately, had the worst table in the place near the kitchen and restrooms, so service was very slow and inattentive. Would likely be better in the main dining area.
I was disappointed in the quality of the seafood at Perla’s. I dined there recently and the baked oyster appetizer was outstanding. My main dish was a great disappointment. I ordered the crispy grouper and it was terrible. It was tough and not cooked all the way in the inside. I guess I’m used to seafood on the Florida coast. I would never order this dish again. My guest ordered the tilefish and her dish was adequate but nothing outstanding.
My husband and I love going to Perla’s. I especially really enjoyed their bouillabaisse, which is no longer on the menu. We got the snapper, which was delicious, and the tilefish, which was not so good. The flavor in the dish was good but the fish itself had a weird taste and texture. This is pretty unlikely for Perla’s. We also ordered the shells and cheese and we added lobster for an extra $14. We had basically no lobster in the dish. There was a tiny pink piece that told us they attempted it, but fell very short on delivery. Honestly, it’s unlikely that we’ll go out of our way to revisit.
Had another great trip to Perla’s for brunch. Everything was great and our server Adam was excellent.
Gem. Love this place
The oysters at Perla's Seafood and Oyster Bar are always fresh and amazing! The wood grilled oysters are my husbands favorite while I enjoy the shuckers choice on the half shell.
We love Perlas!
Didn’t disappoint! As great as it always is!!!
It was delicious, nice ambience and romantic and cute tank needs more fish! small portions, cocktails are not as good as I hoped.
The wood fired oysters were outstanding as usual. The New Orleans espirate was great/outstanding.
The waiter was seasoned and an expert
Overpriced food. Horribly noisy. Service good. Will not return
We came to Perla’s for our anniversary. We had great food and great service. It was a beautiful night and we were seated on the patio.
The service was great and stands out at a time when a lot of restaurants are finding it hard to keep up. Both of our fish entrees were overly salty and it was a bit disappointing that they didn't offer to remake when I let our server know.
Everything was perfection.
In a city known for good food, this is the best meal I have had in the past year. Absolutely delicious!!!
Always a fantastic experience here. We added two to the party last minute and the hostess was able to accommodate all six of us on the patio for an awesome meal.
Service still great. Food is a bit overpriced and portions aren't big.
The hostess was hard to find as there is no clear station for her, the interior is way too cold. I’ve dined there before and the food is generally good (not great) but the arrival experience was very disappointing. And I was not alone, there was a line behind me trying to figure out how to get seated as well.
So good. Had not been in a while and was still great.
