It's pretty high end, so it's gonna be pretty expensive either way, but I really liked it! I got the biggest and one of the highest quality beers I've ever had. My girlfriend got an ahi tuna that was incredibly juicy and perfectly cooked, and I got a Texas Redfish that was pretty good, too! The redfish is supposed to come with tartar, but they also gave me salsa verde, which was not bad! The only thing I would knock is that the seat selection wasn't the best - I made a reservation beforehand, and they put us next to the server bar when there was a table available right next to the window. Other than that, I'd definitely recommend them! I'll be going back there again (maybe even for Valentine's Day).
The food was excellent as always and the service was great. We love sitting on the patio on. Ice evenings.

Best oysters in Town ! We were there for the snack bar menu ,so did not have the chance to try full menu , but the appetizers selection and variety was exceptional

This might be my favorite restaurant. The food is great and the outdoor patio is an awesome setting, right off of S. Congress. It's not cheap but it's well worth the price, especially for a special occasion. I highly recommend to anyone in Austin if you are looking for seafood or just a great experience.

Very good ceviche with shrimp, fish, avocado, and peppers. Fried shrimp was excellent with five jumbo shrimp in a light breading, so not too greasy. Unfortunately, had the worst table in the place near the kitchen and restrooms, so service was very slow and inattentive. Would likely be better in the main dining area.
I was disappointed in the quality of the seafood at Perla’s. I dined there recently and the baked oyster appetizer was outstanding. My main dish was a great disappointment. I ordered the crispy grouper and it was terrible. It was tough and not cooked all the way in the inside. I guess I’m used to seafood on the Florida coast. I would never order this dish again. My guest ordered the tilefish and her dish was adequate but nothing outstanding.
My husband and I love going to Perla’s. I especially really enjoyed their bouillabaisse, which is no longer on the menu. We got the snapper, which was delicious, and the tilefish, which was not so good. The flavor in the dish was good but the fish itself had a weird taste and texture. This is pretty unlikely for Perla’s. We also ordered the shells and cheese and we added lobster for an extra $14. We had basically no lobster in the dish. There was a tiny pink piece that told us they attempted it, but fell very short on delivery. Honestly, it’s unlikely that we’ll go out of our way to revisit.
Had another great trip to Perla’s for brunch. Everything was great and our server Adam was excellent.

We came to Perla’s for our anniversary. We had great food and great service. It was a beautiful night and we were seated on the patio.
The service was great and stands out at a time when a lot of restaurants are finding it hard to keep up. Both of our fish entrees were overly salty and it was a bit disappointing that they didn't offer to remake when I let our server know.

Always a fantastic experience here. We added two to the party last minute and the hostess was able to accommodate all six of us on the patio for an awesome meal.

The hostess was hard to find as there is no clear station for her, the interior is way too cold. I’ve dined there before and the food is generally good (not great) but the arrival experience was very disappointing. And I was not alone, there was a line behind me trying to figure out how to get seated as well.

Great food and service. The prawns were delicious and the Perlas wedge with crab meat is delicious. My 2 recommendations would be to bring back the free hush puppies and rethink putting your Brussel sprouts on skewers. Unique presentation but horrifying for someone trying to eat them on a date and very unprofessional for a business lunch. My client tried to remove them from the skewers and juice went flying across the table and the grease went on the floor and on both our shirts. You’ll end up paying for your customers fry cleaning at some point. Other than that the Brussels were delicious!
Excellent dining. Scallops were big and fresh. Oysters were yummy. Love this space. Rachel was a wonderful server. The one complaint I have with this business is their reservation system. They do not answer their phone and Open Table does not work. I am told that tables are blocked months in advance, however I went out to September in May and still no tables on a Saturday night available … doesn’t seem to make sense. Because of this, what does make sense is that there were several tables empty at prime dinner time in your dining room on a Saturday night.
We were looking forward to celebrating our Anniversary at Perla’s. We were seated in a corner with sticky vinyl seats away from the main dining room and didn’t enjoy any ambiance. Our server, Bobbie, was kind and knowledgeable.
The food was just ok for the price point. My husband’s lobster was tough. The oysters oreganatto were good. My black bass was pretty tasteless.
I have dined at Perla’s before and had a better experience. I’ll probably try other places before I would go back.

Outstanding service and the food was spectacular! I highly recommend trying the tuna tartare and the classic oyster shooter. Get one of the platters so you get a little taste of everything.
