Octopus was perfect ... and the Brussels are always on point we order two... and the pork tagliatelle was wonderful, not over done in the flavors

The parklet set-up is excellent! Food is alwasys outstanding.
The food and service at Perbacco has never disappointed me. Due to COVID SF is only allowed outdoor dining. Perbacco built a nice parklet and each table has its own heat lamp to keep the guests warm.
It's outside dining and it's winter in the Bay Area so with the elements against them they did a fantastic job. Bring a coat and layers, order whiskey. Food was great and at a great price point. Server overheard us talking about bread and brought some. True professional move.
Perbacco has created a lovely outdoor dining space. I’ve loved their excellent food for a long time and am so glad they are surviving this crazy time. Recommend you treat yourself and go!

This is one of our major go to restaurants. The food is fantastic, the service and hospitality is amazing and the wine list contains many delicious and unique Italian wines plus the expected new world selections. Give yourself a treat and experience a wonderful evening of wonderful dishes made with care. A true San Francisco gem.
Perfect in every way
My favorite restaurant is back. So glad for them and us. Best pasta in SF. Thursday was the first time I ordered meat there, and the pork shoulder was delicious. This is one of SF's best overall restaurants, good for dates, good for groups (well, after the pandemic is over, anyway), good for celebrations.

Perbacco is doing a great job of navigating through the COVID restrictions. We sat outside next to a heater. The service and recommendations were good. The food delicious. Second time dining in 2 years. I miss the hustle and bustle of 2 years ago...it will be back.

Wonderful homemade pastas, beautiful and spacious indoor space (felt very safe) and very professional service. It doesn’t get better.
Perbacco was one of our favorite restaurants pre Covid. The food is even better now. We started with the frito misto which was excellent. Breaded lightly so that everything remained crisp. The maitake mushrooms, once fried, totally change texture and taste, wish there had been more. The olives and beans were also savory. Next we had a caesar salad, the romaine was crisp, fresh white anchovies garnished the salad and the dressing was perfect - Just enough to taste without being soggy, with a hint of garlic. I could have made a meal of the croutons which were so good. For main courses we all opted for the pasta as pastas have always been one of our favorites at Perbacco. They did not disappoint. I had the pappardelle with a rib ragu which was enhanced by a horseradish creme which gave it just a bit of a bite. My husband had the tajarin with a Piedmontese ragu. The sauce was made with a Barbera reduction which went perfectly with the Barbera wine we ordered. Our guest, who was celebrating a milestone birthday, ordered the Agnolotti. This dish has always been one of my favorites regardless of the filling. Last night it was filled with roasted meats and vegetables with a sugo made of the roasted ingredients. It was amazing! The best ever. Dessert was chocolate tart with whipped cream, which sounds very simple but made with Valhrona chocolate, which is so rich and creamy, it made for a perfect end to a perfect meal. Service was impeccable, plates warmed, heat lamp moved to ensure we did not get cold. Very generous portions, great value for the quality. This was the first time that our guest has been out for dinner since the pandemic started. She had a wonderful time and loved every part of the meal and the experience. Highly recommend going to Perbacco and thank you for giving us and her such a good memory. Perbacco has nailed dining out during Covid and we will be back!!

The food was great; the service was very polite but extremely slow. Our appetizers took 1 hour to arrive, and the entrees another hour. Other fellow diners made a much bigger deal than we did and complained very vocally. Apparently the restaurant re-opened very recently and is still trying to come to terms with the COVID-19 reality of operating with a reduced staff and reduced capacity.
The octopus appetizer is outstanding. Homemade tagliatelle reminds me of grandmas. Everything very authentic Italian. So happy to be allowed inside.
We have loved Perbacco and why I booked it when it came available online inside for our out of town guests. Unfortunately it was a cold night and the restaurant was very drafty and cold. No one was able anywhere in the restaurant to remove they coats. We were told it had to be to accomodate Covid requirements, however we had been to Waterbar the previous night and it was normal temperature.
The ambience was also very cold, which has not been our experience previously. Service and food were also not to the standards we have known in the past.
I want this restaurant to succeed, as it has been predictably one of the best Italian restaurants we have in San Francisco. I am writing this so the restaurant knows they must improve to remain in the spotlight and remain a top destination...even under Covid challenges.

What a find. Nice spot sitting outside by a heater and enjoying delightful pastas. They are a decent size portion so you do not go away hungry.
Perbacco is always a favorite. Great food and an extraordinary wine list. At first it seemed odd to be dining on the sidewalk but it was quite a pleasant experience and I'd be happy to do it again soon.
