Food was ok.
I have never been disappointed at Perbacco. The food is excellent. I am a particular fan of the papparedelle with short rib ragu, but you really can't go wrong. The service is also very professional.
Food, great, service great, but for me the best part was the parklet. It was well designed, nice lighting and overhead heater. The tables are nicely set , separated and fairly private. It felt completely safe and comfortable and we will definitely book there again.
Food quality has gone down.
My partner and I went for a dinner reservation on a Friday night, and boy were we disappointed. The restaurant was about half full, but the hostess did not seat us until 20 minutes past our reservation time at a table/entire section that was open since we had arrived.
We ordered the fritto misto and burrata as appetizers. It was clear they simply threw a few olives and string beans in a deep fryer and hiked up the price.. not good. The shrimp in it was okay. The watery burrata was completely over powered by some strange truffle-tasting spice, and the bread served with it was stale. My butternut ravioli was drowning in a pool of brown butter and tasted like a brown sugar candle. The risotto, according to my partner, tasted like “regurgitation.” We couldnt even eat more than a few bites. Waitress was very absent and non attentive. I haven’t been so compelled to write a bad restaurant review in years. Cost was $110 without any alcohol ordered. Only saving grace was the nice ambiance. Save your money, skip this place.
A great overall. Best Italian dishes! Great to see the consistency!! Thank you
I love Perbacco but unfortunately I didn't like my pasta dish. So disappointed. Out starter was fabulous as was the service.
Wonderful experience - as always. Dine here every time visit San Francisco
Great wait staff and sommelier support. The selections were very tasty as we shared all our courses to get a wider variety. Only let down was our choice of grappa… Wonderful evening for our staycation in SF. Will go back!
Food was absolutely incredible. Highly recommend the red wine braised beef short rib!
Very accommodating to our needs.
Did not properly check on food
Manager did not apologize for order
Rude front desk
Please go and dine elsewhere
Perbacco is always my first choice to recommend to friends from out of town. Perbacco is my favorite restaurant for a special occasion.
Delicious and varied menu
Steak was cooked perfectly. Portions are generous. Very welcoming and comfortable place. Seating at the bar is fun also.
Best Italian food ever!
I’m sorry but the food was disappointing. I really appreciate that you were open on Christmas Eve. Thank you for that. I had the halibut and the sauce was awful. Italians like simple food. Please consider changing that sauce.
All the best,
Very nice christmas eve meal excellent service and food
Great experience for pre-holiday party. Service was outstanding, wine prices reasonable and the dining experience was wonderful!
Perbacco was wonderful as always. Service impeccable, food delicious.
Lovely restaurant amazing food but our server hardly said two words to us, we spent 80% of the time looking for her and asking other people to help us. She was not friendly or professional at all. Disappointed.
I am a third generation San Franciscan and Perbacco is my favorite restaurant in the city hands down.
The food and service was top notch! June is an amazing server, if you can, ask for him. He is very nice and the right amount of attentive. We will definitely becoming back
Nice evening. Great waiter, very well informed on the Italian wines.
Superb as usual!
Always pleasant service, good food, & very clean!!!
I've been coming to Perbacco for years, and it never disappoints. I've travelled a fair bit in Italy, and the food at Perbacco could hold its own in the "mother country."
The service was a little slow, but just a tad. The food and wine were exceptional. Pasta can often be very good, but not great. This was great.
Great food, service, and ambience as alway. We hope to return soon and often. Thanks
A delicious and festive lunch in a pleasantly bustling room. Will be more memorable as probably the last for a while.
Very busy and noisy. Server seemed inpatient that we took some time to decide on our food. Never checked in with us after getting our food. I had soup which was excellent and pepperdelle with short rib which was also excellent. Gelato for dessert yummy too. Husband loved his salad, less enthusiastic about lasagna with veal.
We had a lovely time
Food and bartender outstanding.
Can’t be 5 stars overall because “reservations” aren’t real, they need to fix the reservation system.
We had a lovely birthday celebration for a friend at an outdoor table. As always, the food and service were fabulous —and our friends were excited to discover a great SF restaurant for their occasional trips to the city from the Peninsula.
This was a great experience and the food was amazing!
Great food, good wine, and great service.
Our first visit to Perbacco since Covid emerged. Efficient check-in. Excellent and friendly service, as always. They are currently serving a fall/winter menu with plenty of seasonal options, including salads and pastas. Enjoyable wine list, too. Reasonable prices, too, considering the servings are 6-ounce pours. Pleasant holiday decor, too!
Went there on a tuesday night. Incredibly noisy, service was adequate. Ordered the Tajarin, a pasta they heretofore have done extremely well. Tasted like it was cooked hours before and kept under a warmer. My wife's halibut tasted like it was frozen. My duck was very fatty, very tough and not particularly tasty. Up to now, dinners at Perbacco have been extraordinary. Last night was a major disappointment.
A disappointing b’visit to Perbaco. The food was not a good as usual. The Frito Misto was not servo in a timely manner it came off greasy and bland . Served with mayo . The short rib Ragu was tasty, but I think they used cream fresh on top instead of the horseradish sauce. My first disappointing meal there in a long while.
