Real Italian food. Even more: real food from Piedmont.
I was born and raised in Piedmont and their Vitello Tonnato, Tajarin and Nebbiolo made me feel at home.
True authentic Italian food. As they make in Piedmont.
Great service, great restaurant. Reasonably priced for the great quality.
Fabulous food! Lovely service! Would come back in a heartbeat!
Great service, terrific menu and good wine list. I'll be back soon.
What a wonderful surprise! Food amazing, wine list and waiter recommendations were right on. I have already told 5 people about this place. Well done
Horrible appetizer. Not pleasing to the eye and bland. The entry was ok. Nothing great. The dessert and wine were yummy. Service terrible. Had to ask others, not server, to order wine, dessert and the check. Have been previously and it was wonderful. Not sure what happened.
Perbacco has brilliant Italian food and remains much more affordable than all other comparable Italian restaurants. Grazie per il pranzo prix-fixe e la lista di vini!
very friendly and great atmosphere. would recommend to friends
Nice food. A little noisy.
Speciality risotto and pappardelle were amazing. Delicious and fresh. Excellent service. We will be back for sure.
Pork was dry, salad had little flavor, bread was not warm
This is our go-to in the Financial District. Great wine selection, excellent food, and prices are reasonable. My husband always gets one of the available risottos and I love the pear salad and short rib pappardelle. Ask for an upstairs table for a slightly more intimate, quieter environment.
Risotto was tasteless. Disappointing!
Food is mediocre. Tagliatelle had too much horseradish. Steak came too rare even after being sent back. Waitress tried to place us at a tiny table in the middle of the floor when better tables were free. Watched countless other parties ask to be re-sat after being placed in the same area.
I have special dietary issues and they were very accommodating.
Excellent home made pasta, exceptional salads. Terrific service.
Food and service were great. The only small issue was noise level in parts of the restaurant could be lower. However, overall noise level is fair. The seating is more comfortable than Barbacco, the sister restaurant.
The food was Excellent; that burrata will haunt my dreams- in a way I am Here For. The gnocchi were velvety delicious pasta pillows. Great service as well, and even the butter for the bread was well made. Such a satisfying dinner.
The owner will make a few gold bars out of this place, I mean that in a most complimentary way!
Way too noisy. It was so difficult to have a conversation. We could barely hear the server. But, as always, the food was spectacular!
Wonderful relaxed elegant restaurant with superb classic Italian pastas. Great service, and quiet after a loud Warriors/Lakers game!
Great place that we all loved for its buzz and energy. Excellent food - especially the squid ink pasta with seafood, a fresh and roasted pear salad and deliciously chewy hazelnut meringues. The bread rolls were outstanding and heralded a good start to a lovely meal. Excellent and Very comprehensive wine list with an extremely knowledgeable and personable sommelier who gave great recommendations. I'd definitely recommend as somewhere to eat on a Saturday evening. The one downside was a sometimes noisy ambiance but that's always difficult to control.
Best Italian restaurant in San Francisco. Umberto is the ultimate host.
Had a great evening with friends at Perbacco. Nice quiet table as requested. Perfect cocktails, and tasty generous portions. Would go back in a heartbeat!
My petroleum sole was overcooked and dry. Should have had some sauce over it, rather than under the veggies.
Fabulous northern italian food, wines and service!!
Loud, busy, great food.
The service was excellent. The food was remarkable and delicious. Good cocktails too
It's the perfect place to have dinner on a Friday night after a long week. The risotto was silky delicious and the pappardelle with the short rib ragu was so tasty. It was capped off with an espresso gelato. Forget about it!
Perbacco is an excellent restaurant in the fine dining category.
Service was great.
The food was very good some dishes better than others.
We had the 3 course meal with SF restaurant week.
Parking is not easy and not cheap.
Always consistent, squid app portion a little small for my liking.
Food and service were great. Our table was in the low ceiling section. Very warm and loud.
Perbacco is always a pleasure. The service is smooth, professional and non-intrusive. They are there when you need them and invisible when you don't. The food is excellent---innovative and well prepared. You cannot ask for a better dining experience.
Great staff, great food and a great restaurant! I shall be back soon.
I took a friend there for her birthday. It was perfect. Food, service and ambiance were great.
My restaurant week experience at perbacco was okay I would say the best it was just okay I had the octopus dish and it was super tasty I loved it then I had the duck garganelli and the pasta was definitely missing flavor no salt missing so much delicious flavor
And as I took a second bite into my food I got a hair which to me was not a big deal the waiter immediately took the plate and offer me another one . Then I had the short rib I only took one bit and it was very bitter tasted like the jus was old or burnt I could wrap my finger around it. But ones I got the waiters attention she offered to me switch to the halibut which was amazing I loved it very much and it was super good they definitely tried and might go again and give it another try
Grreat Italian pastas and wines
Average food. Our table felt nothing was wow or great in flavor. Everything seemed ok but not worth coming back for. Italian food’s simplicity is what makes it amazing and I prefer Central Kitchen, Flour & Water, Cotogna and Che Fico to this. Just a lot more flavor.
Delightful, excellent service and wonderful guidance through the Italian menu.
Our dishes were good to very good. The octopus appetizer was very good, and I would go there for that. The duck pasta was good, as was the halibut. I wasn't crazy about the vibe in the back. There was florescent lighting that felt cafeteria-ish. So try to get a seat in front or at the bar which looked much nicer. I also thought $12.50 for an affogado was a bit much. Our server was great.
