Really incredible service. My boyfriend can’t have dairy and I don’t eat gluten-and we went to an Italian restaurant. So I always appreciate it when the server takes time to guide us through the menu.
And the food was all stunning. Thank you!
Exquisite food, inredible wine list, we loved our time at this truly Piemontese restaurant.
We always dine early at Perbacco. Service, noise, and wait is great.Pappardelle and mushroom Tagliatelle are our favorite. Do not miss the Semifreddo for dessert. They are the before show diner.
I really wanted to like this restaurant but can’t. The appetizers were just deep fried veggies and the scallops were soaked in butter. I couldn’t finish my meal because it was all too heavy and greasy. The wine is AWESOME here though. Just wish it was the full package.
Very disappointed. Service was terrible. Not enuff help. Out of what I wanted.
Will not be back.
Al 4 of us had completely different dinners and they were excellent. The tagliatelle with mushrooms was superb!!!
My first time at Perbacco was amazing- great service and incredible food- each and every dish. This last time, 2 nights ago, our service was lovely and attentive, but the food was frankly disappointing. Some of the dishes were spot on; but more than 50% were a total disappointment.
Excellent service. Server knowledgeable about wine/food pairing.
The only experience that was confusing was that we started lunch @ 1:30, and around 3:20, the lights were basically turned off in the dining room. We took the hint, but the experience hardly felt gracious.
The food and wine were delicious. The restaurant was a little bit loud. The customer service was excellent
Wonderful authentic Italian food and terrific service.
Ok. I was not wowed by my dining experience.
I have been to Perbacco several times and it does not disappoint. The food is always displayed nicely and is piping hot (which I love and is a must for me). I will definitely be going back soon.
The octopus was very tough, The entree was okay but not outstanding. When they uncorked my wine didn't bring cork back to table, brought another cork passing it off as ours it wasn't, looked thru bucket of corks never to find ours. Very loud hard to carry on conversation.
Perbacco has been our favorite restaurant for several years now. We went last Thursday for dinner with my wife and daughters. The meal was outstanding. Every course was a delight.
Stylish setting; creative menu well presented and very tasty; diverse and interesting wine list; attentive and helpful service; prices are reasonable but not cheap.
I've been to many different restaurants, and I've had a lot of great meals... but this has got to be one of the ABSOLUTE BEST I have ever had in my life!!! My boyfriend and I visited this wonderful gem on New Years Eve (which explains all the balloons you see in my first picture). The vibe is hip and sharp, but also very top tier. The dim lighting and close tables give it a cozy and intimate feel, which as a woman from Miami we don't get too many of those places so I always appreciate it when I find it. The service was fantastic! Our waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable, and our food did not delay even with it being such a busy night. And when those plates finally arrived, I mean... WOW!!! The plates we chose were the TRIANGOLI and PAPPARDELLE - absolute PERFECTION!!!! They have a smaller portion available if you're not that hungry, but believe me when I say go for the full portion - you will not regret it!!! (I am still dreaming of my Triangoli...) And for dessert I made sure to leave a little room, I went for the SEMIFREDDO as evidenced in my 3rd picture. Perfect way to end a delicious dinner and fabulous night! Also: location is great! Walking distance to the Port of San Francisco and to the BART station. Go check this place out!! :)
Great New Years Eve dinner and timing worked out perfectly. Reservation at 9:15 pm and seated pretty close to that time. Pasta dishes we had we're great as were there scallops. Only negative was the 100$ charge for wine on the bill that we didn't order. Pointed it out to the waiter who promptly corrected.
Cena de fin de año!!! Un restaurante con un servicio excepcional. Amable, atento, profesional. Un 10 para ellos. Y la comida buena, muy buena. Para repetir y recomendar sin dudarlo!!!
The food was fair, the service was fair, it is a pretty place… The bathrooms are horrible. Overall, I was disappointed.
We had a great time. Best Risotto ever.
Perbacco continues to serve good pastas with unique ragus with a lighter touch. We enjoyed the smaller size servings to allow for trying more pastas. The risotto was cooked for us, not prepared ahead of time. Service was efficient and pleasant.
Very much enjoyed our meal, the service, and ambience. Though it was an early dinner 5:30 it was not too loud to hold an intimate conversation. This is always a plus to me in dining. I can see why it is so well reviewed by others. Thanks!
Excellent, creative food, helpful, well-trained staff, comfortable noise level, and unlike some other similarly priced restaurants, well worth the cost, which was surprisingly, NOT excessive. The perfect choice for a meal with special friends.
I ordered the “little shoes” and took one bite and that was all i could do, I love pungent cheese so I thought perhaps my buds were off so i had everyone at table try it and no one could eat it. Wanted to love this place but did not, the service was, however very good
Good food and friendly staffs.
Very disappointed in this highly rated restaurant. Service was slow. Our cocktails were brought to the table half filled or with so much ice it amounted to half full. My 17 dollar tortellini appetizer dish with shaved truffle had no truffle to be seen or tasted and was very chewy and tough. The smell of dirty socks didn’t help either. Of the three guests, no one loved their meal. We dine often, and frequently in the Bay Area. We have enjoyed so many wonderful meals, rarely being disappointed, but Perbacco missed the mark for us and I would not recommend it to friends.
A good meal, just nothing exceptional about any of the 6 dishes we had. A pleasant dinner, excellent service, but the food quality certainly did not meet our expectations.
Fun atmosphere and a true San Francisco vibe! I wasn't impressed with my Filet but the other dishes ordered were very good. The staff was great and we had a great time on Christmas Eve at Perbacco!
Reliably delicious & good service.
Good for conversation.
Excellent restaurant in the embarcadero area. The octopus and carne crudo will make me return. The service was great, we were the last table in the place but never rushed.
The food and service were outstanding
Excellent service and good food. Highly recommended.
I found this restaurant on Open Table as I was looking for a new place near Union Square. The food was very good--handmade pastas with intricate, seasonal ingredients. Ex: Venison, Chestnut, Foie Gras. We had the Papparadelle with short rib ragu and the tagliatelle with pork ragu and mushrooms. Both were excellent. We did not try any of the mains, but they looked great too. We shared the Frito MIsto of seafood and vegetables that was outstanding! The cocktails are inventive and I had a fantastic red wine by the glass--both for around $13 each, which was a fair price in SF.
The service was like from a 5 Star restaurant--gracious, timely server who really knew the dishes. I ordered a pasta dish that was a bit too strong with Taleggio cheese and without asking, she replaced it with another dish, graciously.
The overall ambiance is not spectacular, but what I did like is the linen tablecloths and generous space between tables so I wasn't talking over my neighbor, or hearing their conversation.
This place is a general standout!
My favorite dish at Perbacco has always been the pappardelle but this time it gets only 4 stars since it wasn’t as good as I remember. The flavors in the short rib ragu seemed undeveloped and it definitely needed more horseradish. However this is one of my favorite restaurants so I’m sure I’ll be back.
It took a long time for the server to take our order. (26 mins) I had to ask him to rush our order due to a show we had to go and see. It was a shame because we did not get to enjoy the meal and experience for a special day.
I have been sending guests there for years and my first time experience was a little disappointing. After I mentioned we had a show the service got better. Overall the restaurant to beautiful and the service was good but the food was just too sweet and it had no flavor. I guess it was just our luck for that day!
Perbacco is a wonderful semi casual restaurant in downtown San Francisco. Great negornis, pasta and italian fare and all in a nice vibrant environment. Highly recommended.
Too loud for a business meeting
