   Great food. Excellent service. Lunch or dinner. A little noisy but the place was packed as usual.

   Well to tell the truth. It was valentines day. We were very disappointed. We never got our dinner. The appetizer didn't get to our table until after 45 minutes after ordering. It was most disappointing. We were very excited upon arriving at PeraBell. Nice place and we herd the food was rely good. Many times our waitress passed us buy and nothing. I think our waitress even said your appetizer will be right out. That was after 25 minutes. Well, it finally arrived some 45 minutes later from the manager with a great amount of apology. We cancelled the rest of our dinner. We were compensated with a number of apologies and were given our appetizer and two drinks at no charge. We were very grateful for this offering but we were not mad but very disappointed. Maybe another time perhaps.

   We are big fans of PeraBell Food Bar in Riverhead. We wanted to order the NY Strip steaks, but they had just run out. That's how you know food is fresh at a restaurant and they place their meat orders on a regular basis! No freezer steaks at this place. We had the Flat Iron Steak and couldn't be happier. Everything was cooked to order perfectly and the staff, as always, was pleasant and timely.

   the first course salads were not as described as on the menu-- bet & radicchio was more like 99% romaine with some beets, never found the radicchio. The Caesar was also disappointing- no flavor. Pizza's were good, Service was great

   It was a disappointment, and I expressed that to the hostess, when we were seated at a small table instead of the booth I requested in my Opentable reservation. My assumption is the booths are saved for parties of 3 and larger, especially on a Saturday night, but just the same I felt my request was ignored. Had the hostess explained right away up front, I still would have been disappointed but at least I would have felt respected. We both ordered the Seafood Risotto. It would have been better if the rice was a more creamy texture. Next time, I'll order the 1/2 chicken - have had this in the past and recommend it. The hostess did not know what to say to me when I expressed disappointment over our table; waitress was friendly, smiling and welcoming; the young bus boy could be coached to smile and relax more around his customers. Other than that, it is a nice place to dine before a show at the Suffolk Theatre, however I will look for alternatives.
