   The Best kept Secret in St. Louis! The only reason I rated our experience a 5 Star Rating is because they didn't offer a 6 Star Rating!

   We wanted something special For our out of town guests, and Pepe‘s was the perfect spot. Sam, our server, was friendly and attentive without being obtrusive. It was a little noisy, but they put us in a lovely table in the corner, and we were fine. We would recommend Pepe’s without reservation to anyone who wants a fine dining experience in a friendly atmosphere.

   Peppe greeted us and knew who we are! That's a great start! Isabella did an exceptional job as our server. Her busser was new and visibly nervous. We reminded him that everyone in the restaurant had a first job. He smiled and relaxed! Our dinner was outstanding. The salad was fresh and flavorful. Our veal dishes were cooked to perfection, bursting with flavor and very high eye appeal. We're looking forward to our next visit!

   From when we came in the door, and throughout the evening, this was a great first-time experience! We were given the choice of eating upstairs or down, but chose downstairs at the recommendation of the staff. Temp was moderate outside, but our table was right next to a floor vent, which was covered up by staff to keep it from blowing directly at our table. Our server, Sam, was attentive from beginning to end, and full of suggestions, in addition to answering our questions about the menu. We got the chicken marsalla, and the halibut, the house specialty. Both were delicious and perfectly prepared and well seasoned. The breading on the halibut was light and flavorful, and paired well with the Ramey chardonnay I had brought with me. The house salad we both had was just the right size and very fresh, with just the right amount of dressing. We will definitely be going back!!!

   Peppe allowed us to eat on the patio even though the restaurant wasn’t planning on outdoor seating that evening. The parbakes, Peppe salad, and tro appetizer were delicious. The linguine and clams were on point, one of the best in St Louis. Way to go Peppe and team…thank you for a memorable evening.

   This restaurant has been a favorite for me and my husband since it was established by Peppe many many years ago. Our lunch today with my sister was fabulous as usual with exquisite Italian cuisine. Our waiter Tony was very attentive. Peppe was tending bar over lunch and made his rounds talking to his patrons. This restaurant is well known by discriminating St. Louis diners that love some of the best Italian food in town!!
