Peppercorn’s Grill and Piccolo Arancio are owned and operated by the Cialfi siblings, Sal and Dino, Brothers Sal and Dino purchased Peppercorn's Grill in 1989 and opened Piccolo Arancio in 1994. This generation of Cialfi's has added modern creativity and personality to traditional strengths of their Italian roots.
Sal and Dino were trained in the art of Italian food at their uncle's restaurant in Rome. When the opportunity to open a restaurant arose, they jumped at the opportunity and opened the first Piccolo Arancio in Rome. Piccolo Arancio was internationally acclaimed within their first year. Now operated by their cousins, Piccolo Arancio remains near the Trevi Fountain in Rome.
Peppercorn's Grill and Piccolo Arancio received the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence for 10 years
Peppercorns has excellent Italian food.
Our anniversary and everything was perfect. We were treated so special, the food was amazing, and the staff was as gracious as can be
The pasta carbonara was over the top and the server was awesome.
When I go too long without eating Chef Dino's food I crave it and need to pay Peppercorn's a visit. The homemade pasta's are the best in the state. The menu is extensive and their daily specials are must try items. They are very sensitive to any dietary restrictions and allergies. If you are looking for a great meal you should make a reservation today!
Great Italian menu with a group of people who really care about their customers. We love all the homemade ravioli, the pappardelle, and all the fresh fish and seafood. For dessert the tiramisu is like no other!
We come to Peppercorn's quite frequently and we convinced our friends to join us this past weekend. Out of six people, the three pasta meals were fantastic but the chicken and salmon were very disappointing. Both did not seem to meet the normal standard of Peppercorns.
We met for dinner before going to the Bushnell for a show. It was CT eats week. There were 5 of us at the table and we were only given three copies of the special menu which made it difficult for us to all read it. The service was a bit slow so we had to rush to get to the show on time. However the food was very delicious and fresh. We will go back
Another fabulous dinner at the bar before the show at the Bushnell.
We had a wonderful time! Our meals were delicious and the service was excellent! Enjoyed our interaction with our waiter!
Have dined at Peppercorns 3 times in the past several months and they are consistently very good all the way around
This really should be a 5 star review. We love Peppercorns and the food was great this time as always. The deduction was not the restaurant's fault. The place was packed when we arrived at 6pm and service was slow, but at 7:30 it suddenly cleared out. Seems most of the diners other than us had theatre tickets. Lesson learned--next time we will make our reservation before 5:30 or after 7:30.
Great birthday celebration for my husband. Jose our server was as kind and efficient as can be. We can’t wait to go back.
Great time at Peppercorns.
They an Italian Carnevale celebration and everything was perfect. Great menu with extremely reasonable price. A fun night with Venetian masks and entertainment. Great job.
Restaurant was quiet at an early dinner hour. Service was extremely slow
Have dined several times here, over many years, and the food has always been top-notch. The menu is always so good, that choosing what to order is difficult. A great sign in any restaurant is when there are a number of things you want to order, and really cant decide, because they all sound so good. And my experience there is that I am never disappointed, or wished I had made a different choice. Any restaurant that has survived for 30 plus years, has the same chef ( and owner) is always a safe bet. This remains at the top of my list for real, authentic, inspired Italian food. As a lifelong Executive Chef myself, I can not recommend this highly enough to anyone who appreciates truly fine food prepared and presented with style, flair, love and phenomenal results. Peppercorns and Chef Dino are a rare treasure in the vast wasteland of chain, formula, and 'fake fine-dining' restaurants that have overrun the world these days. Go to Peppercorns, order anything on the menu, lunch or dinner, you wont be disappointed in any way.
BTW: no burgers and cheese fries here, no nachos, no wings. Thank GOD, an oasis in the desert of lousy pub food fare that seems to be everywhere these days.
OUR 3RD TIME THERE, EACH WAS BETTER THAN THE PREVIOUS.
Outstanding service, great atmosphere and wonderful menu with food executed beautifully.
The food, the service (Chris) and the ambiance were all out of this world. Will definitely go back!
Always consistently great food and service. A great dining experience each time we go to Peppercorns
The whole staff is wonderful to us. The food is great and we are treated so special here. Peppercorns is a true class act.
Fantastic as usual Menu, service, staff all are great.
Their eggplant gratin, homemade pastas and seafood dishes are memorable.
We had our Valentines meal after the big days of the weekend and everything was superb.
We always love Peppercorns and this time was no exception. Kudos to the whole staff.
Place was very very crowded due to the holiday but food was amazing as usual.
Very busy night but Peppercorns delivered for our business meeting. Everything was delicious as usual, service impeccable, and a great selection of Italian and California wines on their wine list. My clients loved everything and can’t wait to come back.
Had dinner valentines weekend. Food was awesome as usual, even though very crowded that night. Servers did a great job. Valentine menu selections were on top of the regular menu. We had several different entrees and all were very good .
Perfect for romantic dates!
Not during a major holiday but I truly love this restaurant perfect place for a romantic date
Absolutely horrible Valentine’s Day experience. Would never ever recommend coming here on a holiday. Food took around 2 hours, for a reservation that was at 8:30 PM when the restaurant was half empty. One of the meals was entirely a pre fixed choice while the other was a pasta dish, no substitutes or changes were made that could have complicated the dish. Patrons nearby who ordered the literal exact same option or similar options were served first, despite being seated after. Waiter was kind and really did try his best to be attentive, but the kitchen was so slow it was actually unbelievable. My girlfriend and I didn’t even feel up to eating by the time the food was delivered, due to how late/long it had been. Food was okay, but definitely not worth the wait on a holiday/special occasion. Also, fairly sure they shut the heat off while we were still there, which shows how backed up they were.
Six of us had gone for Valentine’s Day, the food was amazing with the amount of people there they did a great job spacing out the timing of the food. I’d definitely go back again!
Girls Valentine’s dinner out. Food was amazing but a little pricey and very slow. 7:45 reservation but we did not leave until after 11 due to slow service. We were not in a rush and had a great time but be aware if you’re looking to get in and out
Food and service outstanding. Amazing authentic Italian cooking.
Amazing meal and service at Peppercorns.
The freshest ingredients in everything they serve.
Food was great. Music in background did not equate w the ambiance we had expected
I made a reservation for Saturday at 10pm but arrived early and we were seated right away. The waitress was pleasant. My date and I loved our food and the ambiance at Peppercorn’s Grill. If we are ever in town again we will definitely stop by for dinner!
We were treated like regulars from start to finish.
Wonderful meal with courteous attention to our table.
Everyone couldn’t be any nicer
Pleasant atmosphere and our waitress Denise was fantastic. Portions were fair and not overly generous as one would expect of a finer dining establishment. Even so, there leftovers to go home with. The food was fresh, delicious and extremely satisfying from appetizers to salads to main course and dessert. All in all a very pleasant and worthwhile dining experience.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed Peppercorn's. We had planned an evening at the Bushnell and then made a reservation but the show ended a good hour before planned. Peppercorns had literally just started serving dinner but they were able to accommodate us. Our server Jose was wonderful- he gave us the right amount of attention while letting us enjoy our meal and was just very pleasant overall to speak with. The atmosphere was simple but elegant and the noise level was just right. The food was much like the atmosphere- simply prepared but fresh and delicious. I enjoyed the gnocchi bolognese while hubby had the ravioli di giorno. We had the zucchini blossoms and artichoke hearts for appetizers and then the molten chocolate cake for dessert. The pistachio martini was perfect and they kept our water refilled without asking while Jose gave us plenty of bread for dipping. Overall, Peppercorns was a wonderful experience and we will definitely be back.
Nice menu and specials with many choices. Food and service were both excellent. It was a very enjoyable evening.
Went for resturant week . pulpo ceviche appetizer very good, might have benefited from a little pepper. Tiramisu very good. Pasta with truffles excellent. Sole was mediocre.
