This is old Key West at its best. Pepys is a teeny indoor outdoor restaurant that’s been around for over 100 years. It’s definitely rustic inside and the food is great.

There was a power outage that night; the manager took control and made certain everyone was comfortable- the bartender came around and set up complimentary drinks. It was actually kind of fun and romantic. They did a great job, the food was delicious- we’ll be back! Richard & Debra - Traverse City MI

Really good experience. Doesn’t look like much from the outside and the interior is full of old world charm. The service was first rate and the food was great. I had the fish tacos and the yellow fin was the freshest Ive had.

We were there celebrating Fantasy Fest. All the staff was friendly and the food was delicious! My club sandwich was big , and rich . The side order of macaroni salad was very good ! We all went back the next day for breakfast and had a wonderful meal again !

Great happy hour. Oysters 1/2 off (about 80 cents) and $6 margaritas. Oysters were large and fresh! Very good! The steak dishes were good. I got the fish of the day Pepe’s style and it was 10/10!

Food was outstanding and the server (Nino K) was fantastic. Ordered a Surf & Turf, and a Wedge salad with steak and shrimp add-ons, and both were cooked perfectly. The food came out quickly too, which was appreciated since we had other plans afterwards.

A great dinner! Special was Thanksgiving Thursday. Enjoyed a massive dinner with great turkey and gravy. Design was super interesting and there was even a poster stating President Truman ate there many times.

The service was decent here but the food was completely under seasoned and just ok. We had high hopes as this place was highly recommended. My wife and I left disappointed as the food didn’t meet our expectations. After talking with a few other locals, under seasoning the food seems to be a standard of the establishment.

We arrived with the throngs of hungry tourists. It was Father's Day Sunday, 2023. I think someone forgot to tell the hostess. She was snapping at the patrons. Thankfully we were a party of two and sat within minutes of our arrival. It was 11:55am and we were told we'd have to select from the lunch menu. We were then told our order couldn't be submitted yet due to the timing of the kitchen turnover. It was all good- we were on vacation. The bloody mary was delicious and the fresh fish sandwich was too.

Love the staff, love the food and ambiance. It’s that small local business that always hits the spot and will welcome you with open arms. They’re also dog friendly! They have different menus for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Prices are very affordable!

Love eating where the locals eat? This is the place. Pepe’s is one of the oldest places in Key West. The reason is the food. It’s really good. Try their key lime pie with a Margarita 👍

Just an ok experience. We enjoy breakfast here so we thought we would try dinner. Very disappointed. Very loud! Stuck in corner , 0 ambiance, so loud we could not talk to one another. We were both going to get fresh catch sandwich, server said fish portion was small & talked me into Fresh catch Florentine . which I usually love. There was Parmesan cheese on top that was over cooked/ broiled that it was a hard inedible shell. You could not even cut it. Very sorry that I did not get the sandwich at 1/2 of the price. . She checked on us before we had a single bite, by the time she came back I had picked at the fish underneath. My husband was done eating, she asked if I wanted something else, too late then. Just not the experience we were expecting or had looked forward to.

Our first dinner in key west was amazing! Surf & turf and mahi-mahi covered in their caper garlic butter sauce was to die for! Live music and rum punch set the tone for the evening! Will definitely be going back!

Host was clueless. We had a reservation and he told us to wait. He assured us he would call our names when he was ready. He never did. He seated two parties ahead of us that arrived after us. I went back and questioned him, he seemed lost and confused. He asked our name again. He then seated us immediately. By the time we were finally seated, breakfast was no longer an option. Experience in the past was good. I think the host ruined the experience this time. He needs more training on customer service.

Have eaten here for years and this was the worst meal. So disappointed. Two fish meals, both so overcooked, dry rice. Sauce for one ended up looking like a bowl of butter. Miss the old Pepe’s.
