Food was greasy and not taste. Service was poor. The place did not have ambiance. I would not go back if that was the last place with food.

We enjoy going to Peony Garden. The owner Cyndi always says welcome back. Our favorite waiter is Danny and Hannah is his assistant. The food is always well prepared and served nicely. The ambiance is quiet and pretty. Our children and grandchildren and friends enjoy TJ's restaurant very much.

This was our fourth time here, but first out on the patio. The back patio is an extremely relaxing place to dine along the creek. We were celebrating a family event and the food & ambiance couldn't have been better. The guests we were with had never been to Peony before and were pleasantly surprised. Service could have been a tad better on that Friday night, but the staff was apologetic and were very attentive once you had their attention.

Really good Chinese food and the place is NEVER crowded. It's a little bit out of the way for Downtown Walnut Creek but go and explore things you've never seen on a Chinese restaurant. I had lamb with Cumin seeds and my wife had crispy chicken with garlic. Both were really good! Drinks are limited as they only have a beer/wine license.

Disappointing overall. People we went with liked food before. None of us thought our experience this time was noteworthy. Eggplant dish was very greasy. Mongolian Beef was tender and OK. Duck was dry. Chowmein was plain and too greasy for some.
