50th birthday occasion wasn’t recognized. Food arrived cold. Waiter seemed constantly in a hurry to be somewhere else.

The food and service are always good and the setting, especially the outdoor dining on a nice day or evening is excellent.

The view from Peohes is one of the best in the city. Usually the food is outstanding also. However, on this occasion some members of my party were disappointed in the salmon tacos. Also, the sweet potato fries were not very hot. In one of the prime rib sandwiches there was a piece of meat that was mostly fat and grizzle. So....sorry but some of food was disappointing. Plus two of the best desserts were out.....macadamia ice cream and the chocolate fudge dessert.

We were looking forward to a special Thanksgiving dinner experience. Unfortunately it was mediocre at best.
Waited well past our reservation time and over 15 minutes in the bar to order a drink. The men who actually served us were very solicitous and attentive.
Lobster bisque was barely warm, prime rib very tough and our dessert choices were unavailable, having “run out” some time earlier in the evening. I am unlikely to recommend or patronize this restaurant in the future.😔

Excellent food but they were over packed with Thanksgiving so we were seated in the entrance to where the servers went through at a table that still had dishes on it from the previous dibers

I would like to start off by saying I understand I came on a holiday (thanksgiving) and many places are under staffed, I get that. We had a reservation for 12 people at 7 pm. We were seated and it took about 15 minutes to meet our server and get drinks. Another 20 minutes later we received our drinks. After an hour and 20 minutes we were never asked for a refill we still had no food on the table and no bread. We asked multiple times and the servers excuse was he kept missing the bread as it was coming out. If our server kept decent communication with us or even came to check on us once in a while this review would be much different. We brought this to the attention of the manager Bryce and he overlooked our comment because nothing changed. Our server was David and based on the horrible customer service we will not be returning. Also our food came out to barely room temperature we asked for a box and the server that brought it just tossed it on the center of the table and walked away. It is really unfortunate that we came in to enjoy a meal with our family and we were treated so terribly.

It was Thanksgiving. Our server was doing the best she could. She was courteous and as accommodating as was possible. She gave us everything we asked for but everything took a long time, including her circling back around to see how we were doing. I consider the restaurant to have been understaffed for the occasion, so I don't fault her. The food was great but much more pricey than usual, I assume inflation has begun to become very real in our lives now.

This is my 20th visit, this time (Thanksgiving), packed to the brim, but lacking speed to expedite delivery of food. They should not book so many patrons, without proper staff levels. Otherwise, it was great, except for slow service.

We selected the Thanksgiving Prix Fixe option. My husband had the lobster bisque, which was outstanding with large pieces of lobster and delicious soup. I had the clam chowder, which was also absolutely delicious. The traditional meal was good, but it took quite a while to arrive due to the massive crowds. Our server was very pleasant and helpful, offering to bring additional food to make up for the lengthy wait for our entree. My husband had the pumpkin pie, which was very tasty, and I had the chocolate lava cake, also quite good.

The ambiance was absolutely lovely. I just love the decor. The food was mediocre. The calamari was extremely fishy and chewy. The steak and lobster was nice. The lobster bisque was cold. Tuna and sea bass was pretty good. The service was good considering the thanksgiving rush. Food came out a bit slow though. My biggest gripe would be that I called to let them know the traffic was much heavier than usual and the hostess snapped if you’re not here within 15 min of your reservation then don’t bother. Why did we make it on time, cause we drove like maniacs, and they made us wait 30 minutes to be seated. That left a bad taste in my mouth.

Our family of three decided to have Thanksgiving dinner here. It was very busy but we were seated in about 20 minutes of our reservation. The food was delicious, the service excellent and the ambience perfect. Noise level was appropriate for the holiday atmosphere (not too loud). We loved it.

About 30 minute wait after reservation checkin. Spent about $450 for 4 adults 2 children (2 alcoholic beverages). Kind of pricey but we had fun.

Peohe's should be ashamed of this Thanksgiving meal. For $170.00 we got cold, coffee, cold soup and a cold dinner. Very poor service as well. Asked for help to get the deck heaters on and we were ignored. This meal was so expensive and so bad we will probably never return to Peohe's. A $15.95 dinner at Denny's would probably have been better than this. Extremely disappointed. Thanks Peohe's for ruining our Thanksgiving dinner.

We went here for Thanksgiving with our family. After waiting an hour and a half with only two soups arriving we gave up and skipped thanksgiving dinner. They took way too many reservations For this man power and we’re still allowing walk ins and phone orders while we were there even though they said they didn’t have enough staff for even the existing reservations they had. Bad planning on their end. Will never be back.

Went there for Thanksgiving dinner. The traditional turkey dinner could have been better. Turkey & stuffing were dry. We kept asking for more gravy. Vegetable was not the vegetable listed on the web site & menu. Cranberry was a thimble size portion. Way too expensive for what was served. We'll go somewhere else next year.

DISSAPPOINTING - Having enjoyed our Thanksgiving dinner at Peohe's every year since 2001, this year didn't live up to expectations - In previous years Crab Legs were served - which are my personal favorite - BUT NOT THIS YEAR - why the change???

While I would recommend Peohe's just NOT for Thanksgiving.

We had a fantastic server this evening for our anniversary dinner. Wonderful ambience to set for an intimate evening. The food was good but it didn’t blow us away in terms of price. The steak was tender and delicious but the King Crab was inconsistent where some pieces were cooked perfectly, while others were rubbery and lacked flavor. Other than that, our service made our night!

The food was amazing (we got the California burger and seafood Cobb salad!!) and our server did as good a job as she could. The reason I'm rating so low is that the staffing really isn't what it needs to be unfortunately. Wait times to sit and to close our check were way too long because the one waitress was also acting as the bartender. Also, there is no one coming around to bus the tables when people leave, so tons of pigeons and even a few seagulls were all over the table next to us. I get it's an outdoor location by the water, but not what you want when you're eating "fine dining" and easily avoidable by bussing the tables quickly. Crossing my fingers this place can get staffed up and be back to what it once was soon!

The food was very old, it looked like it was cooked two days ago. We ordered Pupu platter, lobster rolls was old, the rice hard to eat, the tartar had some baby leaves on top and everything was old.
The waiter was very kind.

We enjoyed a wonderful Anniversary dinner along with friends who lived in the San Diego area and whom we had not seen in several years. Food was delicious and the menu is large. service was attentive and friendly. The view of San Diego from across the bay is beautiful. The signature Halibut dish was so delicious that I wanted to lick the plate. Whenever we visit San Diego, I like to go to Peohe's. We shall return the next time we venture to San Diego.
