“A wonderful experience you’ll never forget!”❤️❤️❤️
I have been to this restaurant a hundred times, it has always been a favorite. Not anymore. Everything has gone downhill. The service was horrible due to being understaffed. Not the staff fault at all - poor management. They sat too many people. The food wasn’t the same as it used to be. The lobster bisque, a former favorite was inedible. We sent it back and I can count on one hand how many times I’ve sent food back. The prices have increased so much which I understand but when you pay $12 for a Cesar salad you hope it’ll at least be good. It wasn’t. This just fell off my “must” list for friends and visitors.
Pretty patio with wonderful view. Happy hour rocks!
We had a reservation, but we’re not sat for 20 minutes after the reservation time. They only had a handful of tables open, maybe 20-30 total and the service was sooooo slow, and there was no acknowledgement of it by the server. The calamari and cocktails were really good, but the food was mediocre. I had the sea bass, and it wasn’t very flavorful and the rice was not cooked all the way - kept biting into hard pieces. My daughter had the filet and said it was pretty good. We didn’t have time for dessert as we had a reservation at a local speakeasy that we had to rush to. The views are really nice and the restaurant is very pretty. Probably would not dine here again though.
It's a great location with nice views, but the food left both and my guest feeling "meh". We ordered the Bento Boxes. Only three things were delicious: coconut shrimp, blackened ahi and birthday dessert. The sushi flavor was bland, the rice was mushy and bland, and the cucumber salad was soggy and weird.
The waiter was attentive and personable; no complaints there. The decor and ambience is just ok, feels like it needs an update. We had reservations, but had to wait at least 15 minutes to be seated, so I feel like they were short staffed.
Overall, it was disappointing for a birthday celebration. I don't recommend it and won't be returning.
The view is just awesome! Our server, Thomas, was amazing! We ordered the amazing salmon, the perfectly done sea bass, the signature coconut shrimp & a filet... everyone loved their meal. We had the crab stack appetizer which was beautifully served. Peohe's is a great place to take company... nothing better than dining with a view of the San Diego skyline!
Food was very good views are amazing a little chilly still at night but they had a lot of heaters. Calamari appetizer was very good.
Had high expectations given available reviews. Somewhat slow to get seated. Waiter was friendly, helpful, and attentive. Food was in some cases great and in others acceptable. Steak was clearly undercooked and had to send back; mashed potatoes were remarkably bland. Spicy ahi was excellent. Prices were quite high, though given the view of San Diego from Coronado, some premium is reasonable.
took too long to receive food (received warm at best). Our waiter rarely checked on us much too busy entertaining other folks.
Our waiter was not very good, no silverware, no bread long wait in between order of cocktails and had to flag him down to get dinner ordered. Seemed obvious to his customers needs. Noticed a table from us got service from a manager type way be we even started our drink order and they came in after us. Same waiter had ignored them.
Great atmosphere and views. Food menu is ok. My favorite dish is the crusted Salmon and Their Calamari is one of the best in town. I recommend this place
Great food and service. Really enjoyed our meal in the patio.
Have loved Peohe's in the past, but I wish I could give a better review........and obviously taking into consideration we are just getting back to dining inside & staff is not where it was in March of last year.
To start, we made reservations in hopes we could get a table outside, since we had Friends visiting from out of town for the first time.
Asked for a table outside when we arrived, hostess said "OK", and were seated within 5 minutes, but inside. I saw a 6-top table outside, went back to the Host stand, and asked if we could be sat outside like we requested. The gal abruptly said no, there was someone else waiting for that table. I asked if they were a walk-in or had reservations. She said "doesn't matter, they were here before you". Sorry, she was just rude.
We were sat in Steve's section. Steve was polite, and when I asked what the Specials of the Day were, he proceeded to read off the menu.......so I'm guessing there were no Specials. Our Friends asked what size the Prime Rib was on the kid's menu & Steve told us it was a sandwich....we asked, are you sure, because it didn't say "sandwich" on the menu, however, the main menu did. We said the sandwich was fine. So what came out? a 7ox Prime Rib steak.....won't complain, but Steve needs to know the menu, especially for kids.
When I ordered, I asked for a bowl of Clam Chowder.....he immediately said, sorry we're all out (at 12:30pm)....I asked if the Lobster Bisque was rich, and he said it was not runny....uh....ok.
So when another gentleman delivered our food to us, I asked if there was any Clam Chowder soup, just being suspicious to Steve's earlier comment. The gentleman said yes, we certainly do, and he brought me a cup.
I get it, we are all maybe expecting the level of service we all once knew, and we will get there, but there probably needs to be more training spent with the Hostesses and Servers to complete the experience the Customers expect when coming to a restaurant like Peohe's.
As always, Peohe’s goes beyond a typical restaurant. Our server was very knowledgeable and another server was helpful when we had a request. We enjoyed our food, drinks, and Lava cake. Thank you for a wonderful time.
The service as always excellent! Our server was very pleasant. Our food outstanding! Highly recommended!
Tables with lots of people should be a little apart...
We asked to move yesterday because there was a table with 10 noisy people just next to us.
Our server was fabulous.
The service was fabulous, the food delicious, and the view unbelievable! Celebrated a birthday celebration and they made it a wonderful night for our group! Thank you!!!
We had a table with a wonderful view, but it was located near an open door and there was a swam of flies inside the restaurant (luckely they didn't land on our table). The rolls and the appetizer was good, but I'll pass on the prime rib if I go back here again.
Views are great. Food is great. Only draw back was a new waiter making assumptions. Shouldn't do that, especially if you're new. Other than that, great restaurant to enjoy with family and friends.
Our food took one hour to reach our table. Both our hamburgers were very over cooked. We had to get the waiters attention twice to refill our water.
Perfect from hors d’oeuvres - Desert.
My 99yr old Mama’s blood orange mock tail even matched her outfit and was as tasty as it was beautiful.
Great food !! Outstanding views.
A must dine when In Coronado .
Great service from waiter even for being an extremely packed night.
Such a great experience. Server, food, views….perfect ❤️
Service was very slow and restaurant was half empty i know staff is short these days but it was ridiculous to wait almost an hour for an appetizer and 45 min for our first cocktail. The food was cold and had no flavor at all wont be back here thats for sure.
Haven’t been here in years, and has changed a bit, but ambiance wise was relaxing, view of the harbor was phenomenal, food were good. Our server was not quite attentive and she was very forgetful, except her two trainees. One of the new trainee as I recall, was from Hawaii. Very friendly, professional, very attentive, kudos to that young Hawaiian lady who made our dining experience memorable. Mahalos 😘🌺
Overall very good. Reservation for 8pm, but didn't get seated until 820. What's the point of a reservation then? Our server was very good and friendly. Infact, all staff was very nice and accommodating. A bit slow as far as food and requests/refills. Food was delicious, but not worth the money. For the amount I paid per meal, there should've been at least 2 sides and much larger side portions. Should include a soup or salad. Instead just a little scoop of potatoes. Very tasty, though. Great steak and prime rib. Great ambiance. Wasn't too loud. Will be back, eventually.
Food ordering and service was very slow and staff were slow to light the nearby heaters.
The food was amazing. My ooooonly slight compliant is that the blackened option was too salty. We both had sea bass, and the Pinot noir reduction was amazing. I'd say get sauteed or the other one if you want dock to dinner.
Ambience was very nice. Great views of the city. Spacing between tables adequate. Service was poor. Although we had a reservation we ended up waiting 20-25 minutes. Once seated we got no attention for another 15 minutes. Then silverware and water was plopped down and another 10 minutes before a waiter came. The food certainly did not make up for all of the waiting. What we ordered was fair to good. The sourdough rolls, though, were excellent.
Beautiful waterfront restaurant on San Diego Bay. It was a little windy for outside dining but we had a great indoor table and could watch dozens of sailboats while waiting for our meal. This is mostly a seafood restaurant but there are enough choices for non-fish eaters. The house salad was huge. The sea bass was excellent and the lava cake dessert was like eating fudge. We hadn't been there for quite a while since we don't live in the area but it's just as good as always.
Excellent dining experience. Beautiful location, excellent service by our waiter Bryan Z. We shared a shrimp cocktail and the mandarin orange and pecan salad, the house special. Sea bass and halibut were delicious. Wonderful evening to celebrate.
I went there for the macadamia crusted tilapia, so I was disappointed that that was not available at lunch, as I’ve been looking forward to for a couple months..
There was a big party next to me and lots of people behind me and come close to our table to take pictures. It was kind of annoying and my fries had too much salt. Besides that everything was great
Pretty view, almost no one else there. Expensive! Don't bother with the lobster bisque.
Best prime rib ever! GREAT HAPPY HOUR TOO. We would definitely return!
It was a wonderful experience. My friend and I have birthdays this month and we celebrated there. It was her first time being there. She loved it. One of my favorite places to eat.
