Always our favorite restaurant in Coronado. Good service, fresh seafood, nice view of downtown San Diego. You can't go wrong here.
As always, we had a great meal, with great service while enjoying fantastic views.
So sorry that they had to shut down the next day and only offier take out or delivery.
Great food and atmosphere. The waiter was very attentive and provided wonderful service. Can't beat the views of the bay and skyline.
Always a favorite of ours! Great view, food and service. It was our wedding anniversary and the had a card, champagne toast and Mudpie dessert for us as well. The manager personally checked on us a couple of times and waitress Elisa, the best. Thank you!!
Beautiful restaurant with good food. You are paying fo the amazing view of downtown in a gorgeous restaurant. Pricey food and white linens but the service is not trained to serve at the same level as the place clearly is. It was not busy and out server forgot stuff, got an order wrong and was not attentive. Sever also was informal and acted more like a server at a casual restaurant. Service could use some refining.
Food was good, could use better presentation and maybe some vegetables with the meat dishes. The lava cake is brilliant and highly recommended.
My 50th birthday. As always any Chart House is a great experience.
Very disappointed in Peohes Benedict-- not enough salmon; edges of salmon were dry; poached eggs not done enough -- had liquidy white; insufficient amount of sauce.
We had Sunday Brunch for my mother in laws birthday. They sat us next to the window with a great view of the bay and Embarcadero. Food was delicious. Make sure to order the Lava cake fo dessert.
Service was bad. Waiter spoke too fast. Was absent a lot. Even though desserts were ordered with entrees, it still took over half an hour after meal to get. My fish was extremely overcooked. Rice was a ball of packed together mush. Worse meal I have had in a long time.
This is our favorite restaurant. We spend our anniversary there about 50% of the time over the last 21 years. We love the food and the service is always great. No better place for a great view and sunsets. The banana macadamia halibut is the best along with the lobster rolls.
My wife and I had dinner.
She had the coconut shrimp and I had the swordfish.
Both very good
Beautiful setting, a table by the window overlooking San Diego and some well-prepared food made for a truly pleasant evening. Granted it was a Monday so the restaurant was not too full. We started with two bowls of lobster bisque which were not so much about the cream in the bisque, but large pieces of lobster in a simple broth. Delicious. We requested our entrees - grilled fresh halibut and fresh seabass - be ordered after we had finished our bisque. Turned out to be a bit of wait, but with the setting certainly tolerable. Both entrees were prepared perfectly as we requested the fish be cooked on the rare side. Just perfect. A good dining experience, but with the service a bit on the inattentive side. We will be back. Make sure to make reservations.
Beautiful view and great seafood. Very nice overall.
Good food and service - wonderful views.
Service was prompt and efficient and the all the food was excellent.
We had a wonderful experience. Celebrated anniversary #28 (or is it #7, since it is on Leap Year).
Peohe's went above and beyond to make our experience outstanding and memorable!
I love this place. The food and the view is great.
Poor service, one of the waitress very rude por service por service por service
It was our anniversary and the entire staff from the front desk to our waiter David to the manager on duty made us feel like we were the most important people there. We'd visited Peohe's 27 years ago on our honeymoon and had an equally fantastic experience. The food recommendations from David were fantastic and the preparation was flawless. Our Old Fashioneds from the bar were perfect and the suggested wines paired well with the meal. An excellent experience!
Parking is very accessible. We were greeted immediately and the hostess showed us to a wonderful table overlooking the water. The server came immediately and asked for drink orders. The drinks came quickly and were perfect. We ordered the Lobster egg roll appetizer and it was very good. I had the Prime Rib and my wife had the Chef's Choice Shasimi, both of which were excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant wanting a special evening. We will return.
Excellent service and food.
An early evening dinner at Peohe’s is a great experience. We not only had an exception meal, but the view of downtown San Diego at twilight is pretty exceptional. Our waiter Brian was great. An easy smile and knowledgeable about the menu and made educated recommendations. I can not recommend Peohe’s enough , no matter an evening with friends or family. A great place to intertwine out of town guests
Wonderful seafood Cobb salad
Food was delicious; Jennifer our server was outstanding.
My wife and I ate and Peohe's and had a good meal.
I had the swordfish and it was good, but a very small piece.
Great food and service.
We arrived at 12:30 and were seated in an area by ourselves. We proceeded to order drinks and lunch. Others were then seated on either side of us. They ordered hot food and were served within minutes. We had ordered entree salads and waited for thirty five minutes to be served. One couple actually had finished their lunch and left before we received our salads. Why? I have no idea why were were completely ignored. I will not be returning even though I have enjoyed this restaurant in the past many times.
Service was excellent and food was fantastic. Andrew our server was really nice and kind.
Outstanding service, exceptional food and drinks, amazing views.
Food excellent, presentation was very well done. Would recommend.
Outstanding time and a fantastic meal at Peohe’s. The scenic waterfront view was a nice added touch.
This was one of the best dinners I’ve had in a long time. The food was perfect and service was excellent!
Peohes was a great experience! The ambience was romantic and high end. We got a wonderful booth seat overlooking the water and we watched the sunset it was beautiful. The food was spectacular and filling. It’s not cheap but you definitely get what you pay for. Our waiter was awesome and never rushed us, even on a busy Valentine’s Day weekend. 5 stars and I will be recommending to everyone.
The food and the waiters's service were excellent. My lower review is for the dissapointment in sitting related to the 24 plus reservation. The reservation didn't help bring treated differently than walk-in.
When we arrived at the restaurant I asked for a window table as advised by the booking site. I was told "no problem". The place inside is very nice and as shown on the pictures. We were finally lead, after some waiting at the door, to our table , which happened to be in the outside closed terrace and in the corner away from the pier. Yes, it had a "window" but I don't consider it a dinner reservation table. And the restaurant inside was empty. Next time we will leave if treated the same way with reservation - it will save us couple of hundred dollars.
I will recommend it but insist on a good sitting especially for dinner.
THE VEW, THE FOOD AND THE EXCELLENT SERVICE!! COLD NOT ASK FOR A BETTER PLACE TO DINE!!
Crowded for Valentine’s Day
Was definitely an amazing experience. Very elegant and the misses loved it very much.
We were seated almost an hour after our reservation. We order right when we are seated and had to wait over an hour for our entrees. The food came out cold and simply not very tasty at all. Huge disappointment.
On the good side, the sushi was fantastic as was the waitress who sympathized greatly with our waiting times. It’s almost as if the kitchen was down multiple chefs on a busy Valentines Day evening.
I’ll probably dine here again on an off-night but it won’t be for a long time. Definitely a souring experience.
I was expecting a nice dinner, but instead i got seated 30 minutes after my reservation. Not only that, but we had to wait 1 hour 40 minutes for food!! They claim they had too many orders but, seriously? Never did they come out to apologize or compensate for waiting such long time. Save your time and go to other better quality restaurants that care of the customers. Service is just terrible!
We came on Valentines Day and were able secure a reservation about 3 weeks in advance. Not our first visit so we knew how beautiful the restaurant and views are at Peohe's. The service and dinner were excellent. However, the 45 minute delay in seating was then followed by a 45 minute delay in food. Fortunately the company was good and the dinner worth the wait. I probably wont try there again ON Valentines Day but will be returning to dine again ...and again.
