Peohe's - Coronado Waterfront Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
Service was the worst I have ever had. Food was good but took forever to get. 20 minutes to be greeted, 45 minutes to get a cocktail, an hour and 45 to get an entree. They were way understaffed and servers untrained for a busy restaurant. We have been fans of the chart house restaurants for sentimental reasons but this restaurant is poorly managed! Awful!
This place was awesome. It exceeded our expectations. The waitress was terrific. I can't remember her name but she was friendly, fast, gave us space for privacy yet kept an eye on us at all times. She just knew what she was doing. Great job !! Also, we sat by the window and the views of the city were fantastic. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a quality place to eat in San Diego.
We are regular customers here. We make reservations through OPEN TABLE! We can't say enough about Server PARHOM!! Very PROFESSIONAL!!! and he does not use a pen to write down our orders! If you have a new hire, PARHOM should train them!! As ALWAYS, thank you for the wonderful service!!!
This web site was amazing... simple and without a hitch. Restaurant....Exceptional in all respects! Staff had even signed a card on the table for my guest's 40th wedding anniversary... the reason we were dining out. Even a special menu with congratulations printed on it. Host seated my guests with best view of the harbor and city. Waiter was top notch even offering to take pictures and posing us for best view. And the food was spectacular... fresh, delicious and fast. But no hurry to make us leave... they let us soak up the beautiful view and ambiance. Will be back again for many special occasions!
Peohe’s is set on a near perfect location with a fantastic view of downtown San Diego across the Coronado Bay. The restaurant itself is beautiful and the view can’t be beat! To be honest, I thought the food was only okay and the prices are high. The service was great, though! I thought the lobster bisque was mediocre, the appetizer platter was very standard, and the signature dish of Mahi Ma’ai was underwhelming. The coconut ginger rice was awesome, as was the lava cake! Overall, it was worth it for the experience, but not the food.
Beautiful spot for Thanksgiving dinner. Rode the ferry over and watched the sunset reflected in the City skyline after dinner from the outdoor patio. The seafood off the regular menu was delicious. However, can't recommend for those looking for traditional Thanksgiving fare. At $30, price was reasonable but food was cold and cafeteria like presentation with rounded scoop of potatoes and stuffing, most likely served from steam tray.
Pumpkin pie was bland. Went to Whole Foods the next day and got my Thanksgiving fix at their hot food bar, delicious.
The scenery is excellent. Try and get a table right next to the water overlooking San Diego Bay and the Coronado bridge. I had the Chilean Sea Bass and it is the best that I've had. The service is also exceptional Thomas is very good. Wne selection is also very good and do not miss the Lava Cake!
I love seafood, my hubby loves red meat! This was the perfect choice!!
Chilean Sea Bass with Baja salsa was fantastic!! The flavors were so mouthwatering!
Hubby had Prime Rib and said it was one of the best pieces of meat he'd ever had!
Had the chocolate lava cake was to die for!!!
Great food, beautiful views and (finally) good service. I came here for a birthday dinner, as I am a Landrys club member and had a birthday reward. Food was excellent and service was good.
My party of 3 ordered the prime rib, stuffed tilapia and the filet and lobster. We also ordered oysters, the crab stack and peohe’s salad. Everything from the bread to our entrees were delicious.
It’s been hit and miss as far as service here the past several years, but this time was nice. Must be new management. The whole experience was wonderful.
I recommend this restaurant.
We live in Coronado. We love Peohes. It’s known for being a little slow but I like that. I also own a hair salon for over 20 years in Coronado do I’m constantly recommending it’s one of my favorites.
Only one time I went and they didn’t add my $72 to my Landry card, but oh well. I would also recommend that you get onto the Passport dining card too. Thanks! Janice Rhea, Domani Salon of Coronado
Mu husband and I Traveled from the Northwest to San Diego for the weekend. Dined Sunday night (offered Sunday-Thurs.) on their special three course meal. I did not care for my clam chowder-husband said his was ok. I did enjoy the replacement salad-though over dressed. We both chose the coconut shrimp which we enjoyed and a rich ice cream pie for dessert-- left us not able to clean our plate. Parking was free--Hotel Del Coronado charged $30.00 for 75 minutes. Service was very good, view fantastic of the San Diego skyline from Coronado Island. I think their "distinctive dining" menu at $35.00 (must bring a copy with you--see their website) without many options--still well worth it.
