The quality of the food was not as good as it is normally (my sandwich lacked flavor and my friend got a lobster roll that he also mentioned wasn’t that tasty). The service on the outside patio was also slow, and odd. The waitress seemed surprised that we would also want to order entrees after ordering an appetizer.
Beautiful restaurant with spectacular views of San Diego skyline. Very good food (A-) but while our server was very nice, the management doesn't staff the place and manage bus staff in a way that would qualify for good service. We were left with finished plates and drinks for 15 minutes at a time. It's so easy to step up your game in service, we hope they do it so we'll want to come more often.
The food, service was great. The wait staff was superb. the noise level it seemed to me was a little loud. Our overall dining experience was excllant. keep doing what you do.
Brought an out of town guest for the view, food and fun! Great evening
It was lovely as usual. Thank you!!!
I haven’t been here in years but remembered it being a delicious meal with an incredible view. Well...the view is still incredible. The restaurant looks dated, the food was chain restaurant quality for fine dining price, and the overall feel was kind of sad. I hate to see an old landmark spot stumble but something needs to change or it won’t be around much longer.
We live locally & this is one of our favorite go to places for lunch or dinner
Service was poor!! There are better places to eat on the island
There was a group of 20 wedding party next to us so it was a little louder than I would have liked. The food and service was still exceptional. Thank you.
Great Service, and fantastic views of the skyline of down town San Diego from Coronado Island. Great for special occasions.
The food was delicious and the drinks were amazing. Mosac and Terese were the best and Chris Gardner is the bomb!
My wife and I both had the swordfish and both meals were great.
Excellent food and friendly service overlooking the water and San Diego. Definitely can’t go wrong!
We had a very pleasant brunch on Sunday. The restaurant was not crowded, and therefore quiet enough for our friends who are hard of hearing. Food was excellent, with the exception of the "hash", which was not hash at all, but chunks of meat and potatoes, which our friend did not like. All the other dishes served were very good.
It’s a wonderful place to have dinner, we are never disappointed
A very bad evening. They seemed understaffed. It took 20 minutes for us just to get greeted and served water. The food is generally good but tonite it was mediocre at best and two of our dishes were just bad. I hope this was just an anomaly at an otherwise good restaurant.
I love going to Peohe's - Coronado Waterfront Restaurant. I have been there over 20x. We had a wonderful service Thomas
Great service and ambiance. Food (mine and my wife’s) was not as requested.
Nathan helped us. We ordered salads and cappuccinos. It was a quick and lovely evening. Great service, lovely views.
Food was great; view is perfect! The only downside is the length of time our food was served. It took almost an hour to get our food. Not a lot of people when we went. I believe there was only 1 or 2 servers for the entire outside section and our server was running around really busy. Otherwise, dining experience was fabulous.
It took over 1.5 hours to get our entrees without acknowledgement, apology or discount by management. We paid our bill which was over $200 without complaining even though we had asked several times when our food would be ready. Super disappointing experience.
Peohe’s on a sunny afternoon makes for great views of San Diego bay and city skyline. Wait staff was friendly and attentive. Fresh rolls and butter were brought to the table. Lunch portions were of a good size. My cousin ordered a cappuccino after lunch and it was cold. Waitress brewed fresh cup of coffee and didn’t charge for either.
Great service but they served something other fish besides the sea bass I ordered.... unintentional??
I almost never write negative reviews but the food was below average and very disappointing for the price. I was completely underwhelmed. The server didn’t bother to tell my son that he was bringing a different sushi roll that what he ordered (with added ingredients that my son doesn’t like) and then offered to eat the roll for him instead of just taking it off the bill.
As a long time user of Landry restaurants I found Peohe to be top of the line for that line. The ambiance and views of San Diego were spectacular. My bro in law continually raved about the Alaska King Crab and I savored the juicy but tender prime rib cut. Our server was attentive and amiable, without being intrusive. The menu is a bit pricey; so I recommend Peohe for special occasions...like New Year's Eve dinner.
Peohe’s offers a fine dining experience in a truly picturesque setting.
Always a good experience. We like to go for a quality evening.
Excellent service, staff and food. Beautiful view. Celebrated New Years!
We lunched on Dec. 31st. Once the restaurant began to fill with diners, the level of service dropped off; there weren’t enough servers. Our requests were forgotten, no one stopped by to ask if everything was okay, and we had to leave the table and find someone to bring our check.
Peohes is one of our favorite places to eat in all San Diego. The views across the bay are amazing especially at Christmas. The food is nicely presented and very well prepared. We have never had any issues with our servers who are always friendly and very attentive. Some people say it’s pricey but you get what you pay for.
Average , food bland
Twee was an excellent server and the food and ambiance were outstanding as usual!
This was our second time here, and we were extremely pleased with the food, service, and ambiance. Unlike many San Diego restaurants, the tables were set reasonably apart. Our food arrived with perfect timing as well. We so wish they’d open a sister restaurant in South Florida! Kudos Peohe’s, you rock!
we live in Coronado. we go there often. so many good things. The server suggested the cod fish. i thought it was cold, small, not tasty, and mushy. I didn't send it back because they are slow and i didn't want my family to wait. But ill still go back. I love the spinach salad, artichoke, salmon, steaks, prime rib, the halibut. my taught got the halibut and said it was good but mushy. Are you using frozen fish? i wondered. Anyway we love it there. Ill just order better next time :)
The restaurant was really cold. Had to keep my heavy jacket on. Mahi del Coronado bland.
My wife had the coconut shrimp and had a steak.
Both were very good.
Fernando was the best! He could not have been better. Attentive, conversational, witty, helpful. He is a real asset to your team and the brand’s reputation.
I go to Peohe's maybe a couple of times a year. We were looking forward to going for Christmas and I have to say I was extremely disappointed. I understand they were busy, but the service was really poor. We ordered the coconut shrimp, crab, avocado, mango stack and philadelphia rolls for apps. Everything came, but the crab, avocado, mango stack and when I asked the waiter when the other apps were done, he said it's coming, but it was obvious he had forgot about it. When I got it finally, I was not impressed the mixture the crab meat was in was barely tolerable. Then I really look forward to eating Salmon and when I ordered it was informed that they were out. How do you run out of seafood at a seafood restaurant?! I'm not big on other fish, so I was forced to get the Filet Mignon, which is one of my favorite cuts of steak. It came slightly cold, temperature was right, but not that impressive. For sides I ordered sautéed spinach with the rice. Rice didn't come with it and spinach had no seasoning added to it at all. Overall next time I'm looking for a nice dining experience this will no longer be on my list.
Hated the experience. Made reservations and had to wait 30 minutes past our reservation time. Food took an hour to come out and was cold. Nothing special about food, really under seasoned. My vegetables were just steamed with zero seasoning. For a plate that costs as much as it did, this place is a total let down and a waste of money. Will not return.
Yikes. Went here on a rec from a local friend, and left really disappointed. Seated after reservation time. Christmas Day dinner was not good. Sushi was TERRIBLE, salmon skin handroll had NO salmon skin. lobster mac n cheese had to dig for the sauce and was slightly "warm", with dry chunks of lobster. the Cobb salad was HORRIBLE. left almost all of it on my plate, crab looked and tasted canned :( Server didnt bother to ask why we left 2 almost full plates of food - she seemed busy and preoccupied. pu pu platter app was best we had.... most stuff was fried. Our server kept water filled but kept making the excuse for everything that the kitchen was super booked with 900 reservations.... kids prime rib was good, mashed potatoes that accompanied weren't. Filet mignon was tasty, but again mashed potatoes were not. Wouldn't go back or recommend. No photos because food was not pic worthy. Didnt even want to "check in" here on social media:(
