Located in the heart of East Nashville, Peninsula serves up sharable plates, old world wines, and Spanish style gin and tonics in an inviting and intimate space. James Beard nominated Chef Jake Howell's menu focuses on sustainable, local ingredients and features seasonal, creative dishes influenced by the Iberian Peninsula. Guests are encouraged to sample the flavors of Spain, Portugal and France while enjoying the rustic, yet modern surrounds.

I went here expecting great food and I was not disappointed with that. There were 4 of us and we shared the entire menu except the Iberian ham. Our favorites were the endive, scallop, both tunas and octopus. Spanish tortilla was meh. My disappointments were 1) the noise level made conversation challenging, 2) the pace of serving food was way too fast, and 3) the hostess who was also the server delivered all of our dishes with a minimum of words, no smile, no « enjoy », and nearly dropping the plates on the table with a sense of disgust. Again, food is great!!

Excellent food, service and ambience. Came with friends and had an amazing meal and our server was attentive and fun. The endives were incredible but honestly no misses on any dish. All were unique and tremendously done.

That was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. I keep thinking about the endive dish. The only sadness is that I live all the way in Oregon and can’t just go back whenever I want! if I ever find myself back in Nashville, I will certainly go again. Thanks for a great experience.

the most inventive and delicious meal ever. each dish was a creative combo of unique flavors and ingredients, cooked to perfection, and presented beautifully. the chef is truly deserving of his recent james beard best chef of the southeast award. can’t wait to visit again the next time i’m in town. run, don’t walk. your stomach and taste buds wil thank you

Always amazing! For years this was our local hidden gem every time we visit Nashville - the unique combination of flavors and textures is beyond compare! Delicious barely scratches the surface when describing the dining experience. Thank you for another night of cocktails, wine and most importantly the perfectly curated culinary experience!

Peninsula continues to be the place my husband and I go to for celebrating big life events. Our anniversary dinner was so special! Our waiter, Kyle, was attentive to our needs, was so fun and energetic, and paced our dishes perfectly (And his recommendations were on point) Kelsey was so knowledgeable with the wine list and suggested a Portuguese white that paired so well with our choices of food. We will continue to keep Peninsula on our short list of special nights out.
