Located in the heart of East Nashville, Peninsula serves up sharable plates, old world wines, and Spanish style gin and tonics in an inviting and intimate space. James Beard nominated Chef Jake Howell's menu focuses on sustainable, local ingredients and features seasonal, creative dishes influenced by the Iberian Peninsula. Peninsula is one of the best restaurants in Nashville, period. Really inventive combinations of flavors, textures, and colors. The Spanish octopus is amazing!

Peninsula is a delight from start to finish, with the kind of elevated and imaginative dining experience that is hard to find at this price point in Nashville. We sat at the bar in this cozy space which was much smaller and intimate than we thought. While the atmosphere is relaxed and warm, the food is elegant and thoughtfully prepared, with surprises and innovation that will satisfy the most veteran foodies. The array of Gin and Tonics is also very well imagined -- we sampled three, with the brine version being my favorite. Our food choices included the beet, the endive salad (which was one of the most surprising and delicious dishes we have had in Nashville) the crispy rice with lobster, and a fantastic dessert. This is not a place you go to get stuffed with food -- this is a remarkable tasting adventure at a reasonable price considering the quality of the overall experience.. We've been wanting to try this place for awhile now, and boy, are we glad we finally made it here. Highly recommended!

Where to start?!? Absolutely exceptional from start to finish. No exaggeration that there wasn’t a single bite that wasn’t mind blowing. Service was as perfect as the food- not a beat was missed. Talked about the meal after and woke up still thinking about it! Endive with burnt onions- HOLY SH*T is was incredible! Crunchy rice with lobster and browned butter was pearl clutching perfection. They do such an amazing job here and I can’t recommend it enough. Do yourself a favor and go!

Outstanding experience. You have to try Chewy rice. A lot of dishes served for two even though the price is per dish. Wow

Peninsula is a truly magical culinary experience and a must if you live in or are visiting Nashville. Don’t skip the endive or the lobster with chewy rice - I would go back and order multiple servings of both of these! Also, the marzipan potato chip desert was one of the best single bites I’ve ever had.
