   What a pleasant surprise.. We were in town for an overnight stay and saw the OT reviews, and after looking over the menu thought this was just what a cold night in Scranton ordered. Started with Brisket bombs and spicy tuna wonton tacos.. Mmm delicious, fresh tasting and great flavors. We ordered the chicken meatball shoyu and pork belly shoyu noodles. Everything is served hot and with fresh ingredients. The egg really stood out for me and all the flavors came together so nicely to make this such an enjoyable dish. Would highly recommend if you are in town for a cold night... Service is a little on the slow side but worth waiting for a quality meal...

   This was me and my boyfriend's first time for dinner and we cannot wait to come back. This is a place for people who know how to eat and if this isn't your typical go to, then come with an open mind! Great flavors, loved the portions, and service was friendly and knowledgeable. Perfect for lunch or dinner!

   Our experience was sub par. We expected better, having been multiple times. We specifically went for the special wagyu special, but it was sold out which was disappointing. The meals we got were still good, but we wished there was a better option for two to share for Valentine’s Day. Hoping next time we have an even better experience.

   I’ve dined here several times and have never been disappointed. This is a place you’d find in NYC nestled right here in Scranton. Incredible service with even more incredible food. Items you won’t find anywhere else in this area and you can tell the Chef puts so much heart into every dish he creates. My absolute favorite place to go in Scranton.

   I used to love Peculiar Slurp but they constantly change the menu and it feels like the quality has gone down drastically. They removed Pho for their HORRIBLE rice bowls. Flavorless and burnt. The pork belly shoyu ramen gets worse and worse each time they change it and it was amazing the first time. From favorite to may never go back.

   Great food. My wife said her ramen was like a hug in a bowl! We shared a brisket bomb serving, each had a pork belly ramen, then shared dessert. All great.

    As always, Peculiar went above and beyond expectations. Our drinks were always full and our food came out promptly. The tuna wonton tacos were STUFFED, seasoned perfectly with just the right amount of dressing. My husband’s tender, juicy pork dish was more than enough for two meals with a salad that had dressing he raved about. My brisket bibimbap (a personal favorite) was flavorful and the various ingredients were so well-balanced I was able to get a little bit of everything with each bite.
