Pch is Austins very first absinthe bar, serving rich French cuisine and pre-Prohibition style cocktails along with a carefully curated wine list. The bartenders are always ready to answer questions and educate guests on the libations served. Pch strives to provide an atmosphere that is both mysterious and fun. The menu at Pch is tailored to the drink menu and features snacks such as mushroom fritters and grilled octopus, as well as meals such as duck confit and butternut squash ravioli. The rib eye and the Texas wild boar are local favorites and be sure to finish your meal with an adult milkshake such as the bananas Foster.

I took my wife here for her birthday because we love whisky and fine dining. The menu was amazing, so we had to give it a shot. Here’s why I gave it 2-stars; 1. We were seated at a table that was a main walkway and crammed between the bar and a booth behind us. I told the seater that it was my wife’s birthday and could we move to one of the many open booths in the restaurant. She told me no because they only give those to parties of 3. Poor service. 2. The amazing menu did not have amazing quality. Our food had absolutely no presentation (I’ve had similar presentation at gas station restaurants). The food was poorly seasoned and lacked any sort of pride you’d expect in a good dish. 3. Despite the poor food quality, the restaurant still charges the price of high-quality food. Our 2 entrees alone were around $120. We felt absolutely ripped off. I’ve had better meals at fastfood restaurants. 4. The restaurant absolutely was not practicing social distancing. The bar was packed; people’s elbows were touching. Our table was only about 2 feet from the bar and the same distance to another table with a couple sitting at it. We were told by our waitress that we had to order our whiskey from the bar. That would involve us squeezing between two people at the bar to speak to the bartender. We told the waitress we weren’t comfortable with that and, to her credit, she adjusted to us and acted as our go-between with the bartender. To conclude, go here if you like good whiskey. DO NOT come here for the food. Also, definitely recommend not coming here during the pandemic. They clearly don’t care about keeping people safe.

This was our first time at Peche and it was well worth it. The ambiance was great, vibrant, with many beautiful people. Zoe did a wonderful job serving us. Everything we had was absolutely delicious (I had the onion tart as a starter followed by the vegetarian eggplant Napoleon and my wife had escargots as starter and the foie gras with grits as entree). Of course, I had to have one of their absinthe cocktails, since it is an absinthe bar - I had the Absinthe God, which was very good. Another Austin gem that you must give a try.

If you want a romantic place to have a nice causal meal and make you feel special......THIS ISN’T THE PLACE FOR YOU! The server was nice but the owner was awful. We were slightly late and the owner said we only have an a certain time to eat. We where 5 minutes late cause of traffic. I reserved on open table and said it was my husbands and I 6th wedding anniversary......nothing.......owner treated us poorly.....food was good but would of gotten better service at a Waffle House. The server was helpful and overworked though. There was nothing on the reservation site had nothing about a time limit and only says that there is a 15 minute grace period for late reservations, of which we were 1/3 of late. My adult milkshake was missing my cherry as well.

We came in expecting something different but we gave it A shot anyways. The service was okay. We felt that the service was a little aloof. The food was not what we were expecting either. The restaurant seemed like it would have been a little more upscale but the food did not translate. We only got snacks and went on our way. For two appetizers and two drinks and a dessert, the execution and the price were not up to par. The place is beautiful and has good ambiance but the service and food was lackluster.

Chef John did it again with an amazing meal from start to finish. Do yourself a favor and come early for their cocktail happy hour and stay late for the amazing food.

Absolutely LOVE the place. Had no idea what to expect. The drinks are one of a kind, made SPECIALLY for you. Not only the drinks but the FOOD, is probably one of the best places I've been in Austin so far. The escargot dish is to die for. The fish was cooked perfectly, the service was really good, and the atmosphere is general is amazing for a cute romantic date, or even a VERY nice first impression. Can't go wrong at Peche. 100% recommend, for dates, friends, or just a nicer place in general to go to. You can get dressed and pamper up.

Went there to celebrate my girlfriend’s 35th birthday. Our server was very nice but the hostess was very rude and short. The food simply wasn’t good at all and had no flavor! I would never go or recommend Peche to anyone. Bad dinning experience but the worst place and way to celebrate a birthday.

Food and service are always great with a very C "Cheers" like atmosphere. I always recommend this restaurant to out of towners looking for a restaurant that reflects the Austin vibe.
