   A visit to Pear and Olive is always a wonderful experience and each time we become more amazed at the high quality of cooking as well of course the drink options and above all the service which is a great balance between being friendly and smoothly efficient. If this was a London restaurant people would be queuing to visit . It is a local gem that needs more support.

   Dinner was excellent and as good as we’ve eaten in the area. Every element of the meal, from nuts to start with right through to coffee at the end were outstanding. The combination of flavours in all the courses was perfect.

   Another excellent meal at the Pear and Olive. Josh, the chef, is wonderfully creative and grounded in classic dishes at the same time. The anchovy ceaser salad was a delight and the seasonal local asparagus with the romesco sauce was a perfect combination. The lamb was a beautiful confection, both visually and for the taste buds. Enough touches with flavour and texture but not too many so was really a complete dish. My hake was cooked perfectly!

   Just an outstanding experience. Last came to Pear and Olive a few years ago, since then there's been a change of management and a great refurb. The food was magnificent, really excellent quality for the price, and offering something very different to pretty much all other restaurants in a wide radius. The hake was melt in the mouth good and all ingredients clearly fresh and high quality, the desserts were the perfect level of decadence without being cloying, the menu varied and exciting. Ambience lovely too and staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Will definitely be returning!

   We brought a foreign visitor to our favourite restaurant and we all enjoyed the meal as always with great wine and the cooking is outstanding and really deserves success and a long future . These neighbourhood gems need to be supported.

   This restaurant has become our favourite one for top quality food and service in the Cambridge area. The food is of a consistent high quality and Josh does a fantastic job in a small kitchen space and the wine list is amazing and the service is friendly and helpful with Jade at front of house directing operations with calm and wonderful efficiency. This restaurant deserves to do well and be well supported not only locally but is certainly worth a drive to enjoy the experience

    Outstanding food served in this small restaurant. Very much worth the money. Great friendly service. Would very much appreciate a vegetarian dish within the mains options although, believe this could be arranged with notice given .
