   Great cozy restaurant. It is a shame it closed. The octopus was excellent and cute neighborhood big city vibe.

   We had a lovely dinner but I would say the food was not as delicious as previous visits. Brussels sprouts were very tasty and so was the fish special. One desert was a bomb but they are always gracious to take it off the bill. (Ginger) I will go back again as I love the whole experience. Wait staff is amazing

   Pros were the deliciously prepared vegetables and complimentary main dishes. More variety on the menu and wine list would make this restaurant levels better.

   Very disappointing. We have been Pax fans for years! We brought some friends to celebrate a Christmas Get together. Our drinks and appetizers were great. Then we waited 40 minutes for our entrees to arrive Even though the restaurant was not busy. My friend and her daughter ordered their skirt steak medium well — it arrived Rare to Medium rare. My friend ordered salad with her steak while her daughter ordered fries — they both got salad. The daughter sent her steak bAck to cook some more — it arrived medium rare — it was sent back again and arrived medium. By this time The mood at the table was spoiled and we asked to just take The steak off of the check. The manager took the entree off of the check but had an attitude throughout the whole experience — very condescending and with no empathy about our feelings about the long wait for our entrees and the fact that we had had to send the same dish back three times. She stated that she had taken thx entree off the bill — with an attitude! I was embarrassed about having recommended this restaurant To my friends. I was also very sad since I have loved Pax Americana for years and have often brought guests to share The wonderful food. Something is very amiss— this is not the restaurant I have loved. I am sad but I do not think that I can return. There are too many other good restaurant s in Houston :(.

   I used to love the food at Pax Americana but it was really awful the other night. Not one thing we had tasted right.

   Our experience was good enough that we will dine with PAX one more time just to make certain we did not hit an off night. The service provided by Jonathon was excellent. The music was too loud and not "dinning music". The martinis were served in little champagne style glasses. We had fish and lamb and it was good but not great.

   Four of us ate there this Saturday night. The food was very good and the service was attentive. My only complaint is the noise level was too high at times. I would definitely recommend. The price is in line with other restaurants of this caliber

    Excellent food. Great friendly service. Wish they had more on drink menu but what we did have was very good. Highlights: Nashville hot chicken, braised pork flank, bread and butter pudding.
