I took my husband and daughter for the prime rib special. They love prime rib and the meal did not disappoint. Always a lovely dining experience.

I have been a fan of Paul Martins for years. It has been my choice for holidays and casual lunch.. The food is delicious: on this visit I had Filet Mignon and it literally melted in my mouth. I rate it 5 stars.

I was excited to book a reservation for Paul Martin, I have heard nothing but top notch food and happy hour. While we understood perfectly a limited menu , we had no issues with that. Our reservations were for 1:00 pm thinking that brunch menu would still be fresh enough to order brunch items. There were 7 of us and 2 it of the 7 weee satisfied with their order. My food was old, cold and not what I was excepting from Paul Martins. Our waitress wasn’t the problem it was the food. She tried to make it good., but once you have that bad taste in your mouth for what you were expecting it wasn’t a great experience. I will give it another try because the atmosphere was beautiful and I do give second chances. But I will have to give this a thumbs down for holiday special menu. Thank you I hope it prices for the next Holiday ( Mother’s Day) Lydia Perez (530) 312-6062

Let me start with the idea that we are regular diners at Paul Martins. I always enjoy the food, the quality bar, and the atmosphere. Realizing that Easter brunch is a high volume time to eat there, it still was disappointing. The pricing was a bargain, the selections included some great items, our server was super funny and attentive. The food was terrible. No need for a doggie bag, didn't eat it when it was served. All three of us agreed that the food was bad. Not hot, not prepared well, and took a long time. We weren't in a hurry, so that wasn't really the issue, especially had it been worth waiting for. We were all dismayed at the experience.

Everything was okay, just okay. Nothing was bad, but nothing was really good either. If mediocre is your thing, then this is the place.

Easter brunch in the past was always amazing. This year was a different story. We received water and drinks quickly and then didn’t see our waiter for another 1/2 hour. We didn’t order food until we’d been there an hour. People around us came and left in the time we waited for our food. The restaurant was not full. When the food arrived for 6 of us, they forgot my husband’s. We had to flag someone down 10 minutes later to check on his order. It was French toast! The steak we ordered “medium rare” came well done. Completely cooked through and dry. The burger was ordered medium and was also well done and dry. The over easy eggs were completely hard cooked with no runny yolk. The waffle was chewy and cold. We never received a refill on water or drinks after the food arrived and we sat there with empty glasses til we left. The irony is that they called me 2x in the days prior to confirm our reservation for 7 and emphasized we only had an hour and a half at our table. We were still there and eating at the 2 hour mark. I’m not sure what happened with this usually stellar restaurant.

Long time diners at Paul Martin's, but our Easter Brunch was horrible. We ordered Steak and Two Eggs Over Easy, Crab Cake Benedict with Egg Whites, Mimosa and Champaign Lemonade. Eggs over easy was a hard oval with one yellow spot that I assume was a yoke. The steak was tough, dry and tasteless. Home fries overcooked and mushy. My wife's Benedict had a white oval of egg white, with hollandaise sauce that never made it to the thin crabcakes. The mimosa had more orange juice than champaign, but the champaign lemonade which I have had in the past was undrinkable. I tried sending a detailed message to Paul Martin's in lieu of posting this on Open Table, but they never responded or acknowledged my experience... sad!

My husband and I went to Paul Martin's to celebrate his birthday. He had the chicken parmesan and I had the teriyaki salmon. The salmon rested on a bed of nicely spicy bok choy, which was tempered nicely by the side of rice. Both dishes were excellent. We also shared a side of Brussels sprouts with bacon, which had a delicious sauce. My salmon dish was large enough for me to take home half of it. In addition, we had some extra Brussels sprouts to take home. Our service from Eric was superb, as it was the last time we ate at this restaurant. He is friendly and vivacious and gave us excellent recommendations. At the end of the evening, my husband was offered a free dessert for his birthday. He chose the freshly baked brownie with vanilla ice cream and some berries, which was large enough to share with me. Delicious!
