About
Birthday. The restaurant and servers made the experience very special 🎂🎂
Ordered stake that was close to 50 bucks. No taste and mash potatoes with A1 sauce. Over priced.
Not worth that much money. Never going back again.
Our service was fantastic! The servers were attentive but did not hover. Food was super delicious. Our group had a wonderful time. I would highly recommend.
I have been to other Paul Martins before. This is the first at this location. Our waitress was very attentive, the salad were great, my fried chicken was excellent, the crust was light and portions were filling.
Great happy hour and prime rib on Sunday
Get a table more to the front of the restaurant as they are a little quieter than tables close to the kitchen
I ordered the crab cakes and a shrimp salad and both meals were superb. I highly recommend those choices.
First time at the restaurant. My reservation was for 7:30pm. I checked in at 7:23pm and was not seated until 7:40pm. Other than that, I enjoyed the food. Dessert, you could make the shortbread cookie a little larger.
The french onion soup and clam chowder were both very good. The fried chicken dinner came with 6 pieces of evenly sized (so they fry in about the same time) and perfectly seasoned chicken. The Mexican corn side dish was very tasty with a little heat. The highlight of the meal was the butter cake. You must try, but be prepared to do some extra time on the treadmill to burn it off.
Good all round!
Food was excellent. Skirt steak was done perfectly. Other people in my group ordered the salmon and halibut and said they were very good.
Cobb salad was ok but could have had more flavor.
The music was too loud to have a good business conversation.
Great place to unwind with a cocktail and meal! Come for the food and enjoy the service.
My boyfriend and I celebrated Valentine’s Day here and it was a nice experience. We ordered the Valentine’s Day dinner special that came with an 8 oz filet mignon and a 5 oz split lobster tail. The filet mignon was so delicious! 10/10 would recommend. It was cooked so beautifully, extremely tender and it was so flavorful. The lobster on the other hand was unfortunately disappointing.. it was very small and overcooked. We also ordered the braised short rib served with mashed potatoes and a horseradish cream. It was extremely tender and juicy, but the flavor wasn’t memorable. For dessert we shared the butter cake with no ice cream and extra berries which our server was happy to modify for us and it was delicious!! It came served in a hot skillet right out of the oven! It was such a perfect way to end our meal. Not too sweet, buttery, moist and also crispy on the edges! At the very end of our meal, a manager was going around giving every person a $10 coupon for our next visit which was nice! Can’t wait to go back for more of the filet mignon and butter cake!
It was the best restaurant what I had visited in California. Dishes and wine was perfect!
The food was cold. Also, we were only given a patio seat in-spite of having a reservation.
Came in on Valentine's day, despite having made a reservation and checking in on time, we waited about 20 mins before we could be seated. Food was okay but felt a bit overpriced for what it was. We ordered a medium rare steak but it came well-cooked and with the wrong side. The cocktails we ordered were not properly mixed, so they did not taste that great. Waiter came with the check before we could order dessert.
Even with reservations we had to wait ~20min to be seated. Even after that we were still seated at a communal table for ‘overflow’.
They don’t honor reservations.
My biggest complaint would be we had to wait for a table even though we had a reservation. I had the short rib which was delicious. My husband had the holiday special which was filet mignon (very good) and lobster tail (disappointing). It was our first visit, we will definitely try it again. I like to reserve judgement for a second visit.
The Service was second to none. We had 14 people reservation and got table right on time despite full house on Valentine night. Our waiter was attentive.
The food was good. Ahi appetizer was a bit sweeter than we expected, but decent regardless. Many of us ordered cowboy steaks with medium rare and rare. But all steaks came with medium rare cooked. Loved it regardless with smoky flavor. Our waiter and mangers came by to offer to give us another piece. We didn’t go for it since they were good anyway.
Cork fee was reasonable at $10 for regular bottle and $20 for big bottle. We brought 5-6 bottles and cork fee was waived by management since some steaks wasn’t cooked to ordered. That’s was nice.
Few guests ordered deserts and was waived as well.
Overall, it was a night to remember considering one of the busiest night. Big kudos to our waiters and management team, taking care of us. Definitely come back.
We had a great night. It was just Valentine’s Day and it was packed. We needed to wait for a table even though we had reservations. Lots of seating available outside but it was freezing. We took a high top table to avoid the cold. The silver oak wine is a great deal for wine at a restaurant. Enjoyed the night.
Birthday, our waiter was very absent.
After two so - so diners, a great Valentines Day! Hamburger and fries perfect, and the bone - in rib eye was great!
Food was very average . Prices for a piece of fish were outrageous. Glad I didn’t spend that much for average fish . Cocktails were great, $10 corkage is great, place was way too loud for me.
Our table was deliberately out of the way (not near the bar) and it was easy to have a conversation. Service was excellent, as was the food. I had the braised short rib and it was superb. The prices match the level of service and food quality, so it's more of a special occasion place than everyday.
Four adults, one child, no one liked the food. Very bland, cold. Expensive for poor food.
Second visit to the restaurant with the family and we had a lovely evening. Great service and amazing food. The ribs and the new your steak were outstanding!
Waiters was very solicitous! Food perfect!
Calamari was good, not the best ever. Had the Salmon with spinach and mushrooms, with a side of Brussels sprouts. The salmon was very good.
Service was a bit slow and the noise level from the bar, although energetic, was too loud to carry on a conversation at my table. ;-)
The restaurant was perfect for our event and the staff was awesome!!
The food took forever to come and when it did the kids food came about 30 mins sooner than the adults at the table. For the adults we ordered 2 prime ribs and 1 halibut, I think the prime rib wasn’t ready in time but the halibut sat for too long under the lights because the top was burnt and the sauce was curdled. The drinks were good though
We definitely will not be going back
Good experience and definitely will return
Busy Friday night.. our waitress was very attentive.
Food good .we had an enjoyable meal
Paul Martin's American Grill is a wonderful spot for a family-friendly, casual Friday night dinner.
We ordered food for the kids as soon as we sat down, and the kids' food showed up in ~10 minutes (!!) They also provided crayons & papers to keep the kids entertained.
Service was friendly and genuine. Drinks were well-made and hit the spot.
Grilled artichokes were only 2 halves and devoured upon arrival (we ordered a second one).
Harvest salad was fresh. My ahi tuna tower was a bit overdressed and too sweet, but the chips were nice and crunchy. Highlight of meal was the skirt steak - cooked to a perfect medium and well seasoned. I also liked it that it came with sweet potatoes (not the usual mashed).
Kids' meals comes with a single scoop of ice cream, which made their night.
The evening we were there there were maybe a handful of other families dining at the same time.
Highly recommended for dining with kids.
The staff should be applauded. My last-minute request to sit in the patio (because we had a canine) was accommodated. Throughout our stay, the staff was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. They even brought out water for our canine. I was very impressed with the service there that night and would not hesitate to go back. Thank you.
Great Salmon and good service
Very nice restaurant with a good ambiance. The service was great!
Wish my chicken would have being served with veggies or a salad.
Overall the food was great but the prices were a bit high.
I
My friends and I go to Paul Martin's very often, usually on a Sunday. The food is always very good and well presented. They have a very nice brunch menu as well as other things, We see a number of families there
with very young children. It is never noisy. Parking is rather difficult, but we always manage.
