Celebrated my sister's birthday last night. The braised short ribs I ordered was a bit salty and parts of it were a bit over cooked and dried. I gave most of it to my boyfriend to eat and I had his Chicken Brick. His Chicken was cooked perfectly and nicely seasoned with garlic cloves.
Our waiter was good. However, he keeps forgetting our drinks. But, the place was busy, so I understand. Short of employees.
The dessert we had was amazing. The butter cake was so yummy. Best butter cake I had so far compared to other places.
Paul Martins is a great restaurant, no doubt. Sadly understaffed due to obvious reasons. Looking forward to returning after Covid.
Great food, cocktails, and service! Great execution every time!
Wonderful food!!! Great service and ambiance.
Great bar . Nice Negronis.
It was nice … I’ve had better. But, I enjoyed it.
We had put on the reservation that we were celebrating our anniversary. No one acknowledged this. We had to tell our server which is embarrassing. I had to eat with my coat on because it was so cold. I was told there was a door open that had to remain open.
Foods and drinks are good! Service was very slow even with restaurant’s capacity was less than half full.
Our waiter was not as tentative and slow. I noticed most of the time he was standing and chatting. You have to ask another waiter to call him over.
How don’t when they changed the menu but it is not for the best. The halibut was overcooked and dry. The spicy chicken sandwich is bad. The sauce just taste molasses. Sad, we use to love this place.
The food was average, not worth its Value. Steak was bland, fries salty, Mac n cheese bland also.
Very disappointing. Will not be returning. Too expensive for bland food. Not impressed.
Customer Services/waitress was great!
I will never go back and used to be my fav restaurant. Walked out spending $200 and it wa da waste. The waiter was horrible and didn’t listen to a word I said. I told him not to bring our steaks until we were finished with our appetizers. He brought them right when we started our appetizers. Drinks were terrible and had no alcohol in them. Mac and cheese has gone downhill.
They rushed us and neglected us and it was a sheer waste of money.
When I complained they did nothing about it but aend another waiter who messed up to.
No one was in the restaurant and so no excuses that they were busy.
The wife and I went to Paul Martin for a nice steak dinner on the first of the year.
We arrived about 30 minutes early for our 5:00 PM reservation, and we're seated within probably 10 minutes.
We shared a glass of wine, both started with French onion soup, and each had a steak.
Everything was great as usual / expected!
Prices for Steak ( and probably everything else because of the pandemic and / or supply chain issues ) have gone up. So, this was an expensive night out, totaling $165 including the tip.
We come here often because the ambiance and service are great and they seem to always have available reservations. I’m not sure why? Staff members are very friendly and professional. Where Paul Martin’s sometimes flounders is consistency in cocktail and meal preparation. But I appreciate attention they pay to friendly service. Happy hour was one of the best around! I think it’s still available?
Food was not great and overpriced for portion size. It was New Years Eve for late lunch.
Service was awesome and the food was delicious! I would definitely come back!
The food was just not what we were expecting from this restaurant. None of our 5 meals were very tasty. Sad that we spent money on something we didn’t enjoy.
It is a beautiful, classy place to dine. I would definitely go back there
Our server did a fantastic job. The food was great. Our small family consisted of a restaurant manager, a previous restaurant manager and a Sports Bar bartender. So hopefully this compliment is received gratefully and with the sentiment with which it was given, from the heart with sincerity.
Food was cold
All around a great experience! Food was excellent. Wife loved her Asian Salad and my Blackened Ribeye was delicious!
Overall it was good. The service was outstanding. The food was good. The BBQ Cajun shrimp was good but I would have liked the bread to be a bit softer as it didn’t seem fresh.
Family Christmas Eve dinner
Vibe was great in the patio where it was quieter. Food and drinks were delicious as always.
Gold Rush and the BBQ Shrimp 👍
Unfortunately food has gone down hill, we had a party of 7, one of the smaller parties that night. All of the food came out cold, we sent back three steaks/meals for being cold, and all three came back cold still. Management offered to make new steaks, but by the time they came everyone was done eating. They ended up comping all three meals. Our server was really great as well as management but food was a bummer. Other meals had small portions for the cost, just king of a bummer.
Made reservations at least month in advance fir 6 people
Got there and NO tables available
We asked to sit at bar..not my style
Waited fir Half Hr to get a table and we were to choose
2 appetizers to compensate
Usual go to this restaurant monthly
It was our first time there and the experience was amazing! Really enjoyed the atmosphere and our server was very attentive. We ordered the ribeye and filet mignon, it was very delicious. We will definitely be coming back.
Amazing dinner. They helped our guests of honor feel very special and they were very impressed with everything. Food and service are always amazing here! I highly recommend this restaurant for any meal. It will not disappoint.
Nothing to write home about. Overpriced for lunch and lacking quality. 3 people with 20% tip = $145. Staff was friendly and attentive, but messed up drink order.
No need to return
Excellent food and cocktails.
Every bite was delicious. Good sized portions. I’m still thinking about the Brussels sprouts!
Service & food very good overall. However, my order of Filet of Sole stuffed with spinach had very little fish and lots of spinach and the sauce was a bit heavy.
Brussel sprouts wrapped with bacon had no bacon.
Holiday get together
No real issues other than a couple spilled drinks
Satisfactory all around. Great choices for everyone.
PM’s is one of our go to’s. We love the Irvine location. Great holiday menu and good wine section. Is on the pricy end and not for everyone, but we keep coming back so it’s gotta be good. See ya next time.
We went there for happy hour. The menu ended at 5 PM and I was able to get my order in before that time. They were very helpful and accommodating my seating preference and happy hour menu order. Staff was very attentive in seeing if we needed anything.
Great food and atmosphere for our Anniversary Dinner
Food was wonderful and service outstanding. Will definitely go again!
Thanksgiving. Meal went well. A bit disappointed there was no soup. Food was tasty and portions were good
The food was AMAZING!! Service was outstanding. Ambiance was perfect. We had made a reservation at another restaurant about 3 weeks prior to Thanksgiving. The night before Thanksgiving we get a call at 9pm from the other restaurant letting us know they aren’t open. I started calling around probably 10 different places. We had 5 in our party they weren’t open or booked solid. Then I found Paul Martins and it was THE best experience we’ve had in a long time. We will definitely be back.
