Food was wonderful and service outstanding. Will definitely go again!
The food was AMAZING!! Service was outstanding. Ambiance was perfect. We had made a reservation at another restaurant about 3 weeks prior to Thanksgiving. The night before Thanksgiving we get a call at 9pm from the other restaurant letting us know they aren’t open. I started calling around probably 10 different places. We had 5 in our party they weren’t open or booked solid. Then I found Paul Martins and it was THE best experience we’ve had in a long time. We will definitely be back.
our cocktails were delicious, the turkey dinners were delicious except at 4:00 had already run out of butternut squash soup, disappointed in that but the salad was good. our waitress was outstanding, she and my husband had running jokes going. it was a pleasant afternoon on Thanksgiving.
Our waitress was awesome. Food was great too!
Our dinners were nothing to write home about. I ordered Cajun shrimp that was not edible. They were very overcooked. My husband ordered the large filet which was good but again, a little over cooked. Wedge salad was excellent. Our server was nice. Not impressed.
They fit us in when we came early for our reservation. They turned the heaters on outside just for us. The food was wonderful and everyone was so kind and accommodating. Loved it!
They were short staffed in the kitchen so our food service was delayed, but great service, really tasty food, and a management staff that pitched in to help made it a good experience.
This was perhaps our 100th dinner at Paul Martin’s. Like many places these days, prices are up, and the basics are not always attended to. Salad and entree served simultaneously, and we received cold mashed potatoes and fries. Even the little glass bottle of Coke that they’d always served with Jack & coke is now just made with fountain soda. The brick chicken was delicious, but everything was smaller than before, including the sprig of rosemary. The server was lovely and worked hard to accommodate. In past visits, a manager would routinely stop by, esp if anything was sent back. Not this time. It’s hard for restaurants post-pandemic, so we make allowances. We will go back, but not for a while. Gone are the days of friendly bartenders at PM who would remember your name and recommend wines. Now they just talk to each other and the customers are something of an unwelcome distraction.
The stink outside is almost unbearable. It smelled like we were eating in a sewer, which of course does not enhance the flavor of the food. The Ahi Crudo was warm. Half the asparagus was overcooked the other half undercooked (still hard). The saving grace was the steak was cooked perfectly.
Always a pleasant experience. And great service.
First time trying out this place. They also did an amazing job. Great service and great food. They did an amazing job helping and serving an anniversary dinner for us!! Definitely recommend and will be coming back!
Alex did an amazing job taking care of us.
Had a fantastic experience with our server Brooke. My girlfriend had a halibut, And I had a lamb shank. Extremely tasty, great portions, and extremely attentive server. Great first time experience! Highly recommend to all
Great food as always. Been here many times. The restaurant was busy, but the noise level was such that we could carry on a conversation. I rated the value not because it's the restaurants fault, but because of the higher cost of food due to inflation.
Service was great! Food tasted good however the salads were very overpriced. The Wedge salad is $12 and is the smallest slice of iceberg. Wouldn’t recommend. Spinach dip was fire!
The halibut dish was the best I ever had and the creamy mac and cheese was truly divine. Great food for the price.
Service and food was fabulous!
Went there for our anniversary. We had been before and always enjoyed our food. This was no different! Skirt steak was cooked perfectly and the salmon sandwich was delicious. We got a side of mac n cheese and it was great as usual. Ordered a couple of drinks and enjoyed our time on the outdoor patio. We were surprised at the end of our meal with a complimentary butter cake dessert. Great touch to end a very nice evening. The servers were friendly and attentive. The prices are very reasonable for a great restaurant in a prime spot. We will definitely visit again!
Great Happy Hour deal
Great option for a business lunch. Great setting, good service and quality food.
Delish shrimp linguini and cocktails are great! Service was very attentive. Butter cake too sweet but tasty
Excellent service. Great recommendations from our waitress. Perfect portions
Great experience. Thank you Paul Martin’s
Never disappointed when we visit PM-Irvine Spectrum! Service and food is always excellent!
New interior makes it feel like a cafeteria. Pretty bad .
It was cold and cavernous. Put the booths back
Food was okay. Expect more from Paul Martins and for the price . The food presentation was weak. Drinks were great. Way over priced for what we received . Was dining w two executive chefs , both agreed the experience was bad . Will not be back to the Irvine Location.
Service and food were excellent with generous portions. We enjoyed the complimentary butter cake with fresh berries and a scoop of ice cream. It was delicious.
Had a reservation, and when we came in the (clearly flustered) hostess said it’d be “just a moment”. Three other parties that came in after us all got seated before us (only one of which had a reservation) and a party who had walked in seconds before us with a reservation at the same time was seated immediately. Meanwhile we are waiting 30 minutes with a hungry 4-Year old. I finally went back up to hostess and asked what the status was, and it was obvious she was having a hard time trying to “figure it out”. Finally another person came over and took over and had us seated in the next few minutes.
They seated us outside (never asked about preference), and my wife asked for the heater to turned on over our table. I also asked for a booster seat for my child. Neither request was fulfilled, and we had to make the request multiple times before someone finally got us a booster seat and turned on the heater.
They promised us bread and butter, but as we waited and time passed, noticed all the tables around us were getting bread and butter, just not us. And many of those had been seated after us.
The kids “burger” meal was way overpriced and didn’t even come with cheese. The fries tasted like pure salt. I had the French dip and the meat was fatty and tasteless, and the wife had steak salad which was, you guessed it, super fatty. Both of us barely ate because it just was no good. Basically paid just under $100 for our son to get an overpriced so/so burger because the rest of the food and service was terrible.
Only time the server seemed to really care about how we were doing was when it was time to pay the check. He seemed concerned that we didn’t want to-go boxes for our barely touched food. Total waste of time and money, will not be coming back here.
Loved the main course but the mashed potato side tasted like powdered mashed potato and had a runny consistency.
Good atmosphere and staff.
The food is always awesome and the service is superb. But the best part of this restaurant is their playlist. They play the most fantastic music. 70s 80s classics love it
The food was great and they have a really good wine list. Prices are very reasonable. Our server was fantastic.
We’ve never had any bad experience at Paul Martin’s! Exceptional customer service and the food is always great. We had a party there last month too and their manager, Christian is just the best! Very professional! We will definitely come back again. Thanks so much.
Nice atmosphere, good food and the waiter was pleasant and attentive. I would recommend.
Perfect dinner spot for a birthday celebration or date night. Elegantly casual atmosphere—great food, excellent service.
Paul Martin’s is an all time favorite. Great food and great decor. Hands down a strong recommendation.
Great place for a relaxing meal
Great waiter - amazing service - always a pleasure returning to our spot:)
Great place for a date or for taking the family here.
The fried chicken was over cooked and too oily.
Also, our waitress was not very knowledgeable of the food and didn’t check to see if we needed anything after receiving our meals.
Great service from Ryan. We had a great time!
Great food, even better service!
