   My husband and I spent a day exploring Santa Barbara and couldn’t wait to try the pizza. Patxi’s was within walking distance of our hotel. We were shown to one of the street-side tables which we thought was perfect! Unfortunately, no one ever made eye contact with us, brought us menus or water, or came by to take our order. We noticed that the people sitting at the bar were all getting waited on by the bartender who was really hustling. After 15 minutes we got up and relocated to the bar after first telling the hostess why were we’re doing so. I want to emphasize that the restaurant was not crowded during this time. We watched as waiter after waiter ignored the outside customers. Several more groups were seated street-side and had to get up and come into the restaurant to inquire if they could have water, menus and if a waiter could come by to take their order. We saw plenty of waiters, the restaurant was not busy and we had let the hostess know that there was a problem. There really is no excuse for this type of bad service. Again, the bartender was really hustling and taking care of his customers. His name was Jesus.

   We came in for a birthday and had a large group. Staff was friendly and accommodating. My low rating is because a couple of us ordered deep dish pizzas and they came out well after the rest of our group had finished eating. And it wasn't my favorite pizza after all. I wish that the server had warmed us before taking the order (or the menu noted) that deep dish pizzas take at least 45 minutes. We would have ordered differently and probably had a better experience.

   Nice location on State Street. Decent atmosphere. Very expensive for what you get. 14" pizza for $23. The one I ordered we very bland. The pesto was better. I asked if they had any other suaces besides marinara and the waiter said no. Kind of weird they didn't have more base sauce options. Can't recommend due to high price and marginal food. Maybe I caught them on a bad day.

   Pizza was good, so was meatballs. It was a bit chilly since it is an open restaurant. There is a bar with tv screens featuring sports events. A lot of families. Service was excellent.

   We stopped here while in Santa Barbara and wanted to have some pizza. I'm from Chicago so when I see deep dish on the menu I'm always going to compare it to what I'm accustomed to. Even if the menu doesn't say Chicago style deep dish I know where it comes from. This was actually pretty good. There are quite a few items on the menu deep dish/thin crust, appetizers, wings salads, etc., but we had an artichoke dip to start. The artichoke dip was creamy and served with crustinis. It was great combination of textures and flavors. I would recommend it as something to try if you're ever here. We were there kind of late so we kind of rushed our order but our pizza was really good. would say that on a scale from 1-10, I would give it a 7.5 - 8. The ingredients were fresh and the crust was good. We requested chicken on it and I didn't really taste much. I can't help but compare it to my places in Chicago and although it's not the same (there's something about Chicago's dough) I can say that this place does a good job in giving me something to look forward to when I visit Santa Barbara.

   Great food, only issue was that the thin base pizza came out 15 minutes before the deep pan which we were not made aware of. So half the family had finished, before the other half even started.

    The deep dish took almost 45 mins to arrive to our table and the pizza was cold in the middle and hot around the crust only. Would not be going back again
