   We’d been looking forward to going to Patri for the first time as we’d heard that the food is great and indeed, it did not disappoint. However, the challenges and disappointments are: - extremely slow, delayed service, where we gave up on receiving, variously, food, cutlery, napkins & water - advised to get the thali and a couple of other dishes which proved to be far too much for 3 people, but makes the bill mount up - there was a table of diners who shrieked and guffawed loudly for the 2 hours we were there for a ‘quick’ lunch, which made the ambience terrible - the restaurant had large windows across Northfields Avenue and our table was by the window from where we could see one of the chefs leaning against a public bin on the street, by the front door of the restaurant rolling cigarettes and smoking.    Dear Preetha, Thank you for your feedback—we’re glad you enjoyed the food at **Patri**. We're sorry some aspects didn’t meet expectations. Only three guests arrived for your booking of four; OpenTable charges for no-shows, which impacts small businesses like ours. Our service system uses table buzzers, but we received no alert. Napkins briefly ran out during a busy lunch—we apologise. I personally served water within 30 seconds and oversaw your table. Thali is for two, as stated in the menu, and sharing was correctly advised. The person seen outside was from the next-door barber shop—our chefs are non-smokers in uniform. We finished a busy service at 5 p.m. and don't smoke at all. We value your feedback and hope to welcome you again. Warm regards, **The Patri Team**

   It's a different style of food from an old school curry house, but always really tasty and great service. They're back up and running properly now after being closed for a while

   The food was incredible and the hospitality was great. The thali is a must have.

   Nice and cosy place, the food was all really good. I'd definitely recommend it and come back!

   The restaurant was busy but there were only two front of house staff who did their best but were run ragged. Coupled with dealing with takeaway requests it took 1.5 hours to get our food. Also the food came out at different times so some people had eaten before others go theirs.

   A trip on Valentines 2025 night and wow Amazing delicious cuisine both the mixed grill and thali and special thanks to the staff members who were always willing to assist and guide you through the choices explaining the different styles and flavour’s and not too hot or too mild :) Thank you for your hospitality and Truly worth a visit a must go place to eat definitely !!    Excellent selection of dishes in the thali. Food was tasty and reasonably priced. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would go again.

    Service was excellent. I wish they would only pit half the chillies in the food so that you can the actual food rather than chillies.
