Patri has several meanings, in Hindi it means Pavement, in Urdu it means Track and in ancient Sanskrit its means a vessel or small furnace. The name took us back to our origins and we decided to use Pavement, Tracks, and Furnace to come up with a street food menu containing all three elements. Our starters are street food classics on pavements in India and Pakistan. Our grills are freshly cooked in the tandoor at over 400 degrees to replicate cooking in a furnace. Our curries are inspired by the railway cooks on train journeys in India.

Founder and Head Cook Puneet Wadhwani, has created a never-before-seen menu bringing to life the snacks and dishes he once ate as a child growing up within a bicycle ride of New Delhi train station.

Dinner was magnificent here at Patri. We went for my mums birthday and the food was amazing. We received a couple of dishes complimentary of the chef and also received two desserts for free to celebrate mums birthday - one being a slice of cake. Service was amazing and I loved the decor too. 10/10 recommend.

Lovely food and would definitely recommend in that aspect but please make sure you ask how long you have your table for as we were there only an hour and still halfway through main course that we were told by the manager we need to hurry up as they need the table for another booking. We weren’t informed that we only have the table for an hour. We then got the bill but we were not happy as 2 ppl from our group were still eating their meal. We said that this is not on as we can’t rush our food still not had desert or coffee. Manager then snatched the bill from the table and walked off. Not very professional at all. My friends then ordered their tea but was luke warm when it came. So we said to take that off the bill. One of the waiters was very nice, young lad who brought us our new bill. We asked to take off service charge as weren’t very happy. He did so. Thankyou to him. The food was yummy so would definitely recommend in that aspect.

I was disappointed with the food on this visit. I had been to this branch once before and remembered the cooking as authentic—well-balanced, richly spiced, and a true reflection of good Indian cuisine. This time, the quality was noticeably lower. The chicken tikka was far too salty, and other dishes lacked depth and flavour. Service was adequate but unremarkable. What added to the disappointment was that I had recommended the place to a friend and invited him for lunch. We arrived shortly after opening on a Sunday, so it’s possible the kitchen was still settling in. Even so, it didn’t live up to the standard I had previously experienced.

My favorite place for Indian food in West London! My favorites are the dal makhani, Paneer on the grill, tandoori chicken, and Rogan Josh. But really, I like most everything on the menu!

What a lovely meal, really tasty, lots of choice. The staff ere charming, warm and friendly. We were the first party of the evening, but the restaurant filled quickly, so a nice convivial atmosphere. Would definitely come again!
